If we can put this one away, we will be doing the community a service. But to offer personal opinions, no matter how sincere, doesn't quite cut it... I'd suggest we need to look at the claimed facts, no matter how way out they may seem.
    I agree!
Putting this "away" should be quite easy. We could either research research and more research to prove or disprove existing facts figures and paradigms. This fervent effort being lead by our most basic necessity triggered by our most primitive survival mechanism located in the Brain Stem (R-Complex) Survival! Listening to Pattie she alludes to the possibility of survival and continuation of our species. It's only natural for our lower order thinking to command our Limbic (emotional system) then commence to the Neocortex where we battle logic with expressive imagination separated by the two halves to come to some sort of Triune conclusion.

Geez, perhaps this is exactly the problem of the "thinking man".

Where am I going with this thought process?

Well, she dated herself! Perhaps an error but most definitely to our benefit. Aug 11 -17 she made very specific claims.
    Just wait and see!
    It's that simple
Any further emotional impact should truly be looked at as "what am I really afraid of".
It's personal for me. I can't speak for anyone else but I'm living no longer in fear and that is truly the enemy.
It's not that someone may have pulled the wool over my eyes with some false declaration of Doom.
    Just my thought.
    Love and Peace

Pattie Brassard did say the second sun would pass around the outside of the planetary orbits of the solar system and it would be it's trailing group of seven planets that would pass close to our solar system planets including the earth.
She also stated the second sun emits microwaves, which means it would not be visible to us on earth by eye or by traditional amateur astronomers. She elaborated by stating the trailing group of planets could only be seen during sunrise and sunset particularly, now at least, in the southern hemisphere to the equator and would soon be visible to all very soon.
(Recollect also, in Antarctica the NWO built that infra red telescope with US tax dollars, allegedly "not" looking for the fictional Nibiru, yet pointing in the direction of where it was expected to come from and this topic of discussion now as it was then).
So, the largest of the trailing group of visiting planets, allegedly 3-4 times the size of Jupiter will pass 0.32AU from Earth and cause an eclipse for three days. This will be the cause of a major microwave bombardment from its surface towards Earth as we conversely eclipse this planet from its own microwave emitting sun (the second sun), just to add to the geophysical, geomagnetic and geo everything type calamity already impacting us.

Skeptical? Why would that be relevant if this will be noticeable within the next 2 weeks? This brings to a close a 10 year conspiracy theory, that's a slam dunk plus for alternative media and forums.

We will lose the internet and communications. So everybody will be without support. You're on your own.

Crushed and collapsed DUMBs due to Earth mantle pressures does give one that warm satisfied tummy feeling though, a deep smiley sleep tonight and every night for two weeks has to be worth a little belief.

Look at this from 2004: http://www.spitzer.caltech.edu/image...it-Comparisons

Quote These four panels show the location of the newly discovered planet-like object, dubbed "Sedna," which lies in the farthest reaches of our Solar System. Each panel, moving clockwise from the upper left, successively zooms out to place Sedna in context.

I'm normally skeptical with these types of dooms day interviews but this one feels different. Very different. I'll stop there with my opinion...

On to the matter of amateur astronomers and if there was something they would be shouting from the roof. Well, we have two telescopes in the family, both Meade 4.5in refractors and I can tell you that if thermal imaging is required to see this thing, that would not only be hard to accomplish but extremely expensive (regular optics are expensive enough). In some cases to the point of being prohibitive. In my quick search, thermal cameras alone cost from $2000.00 up to over $20K and this doesn't even take into account how you would mount it on the scope. Most thermal cameras I looked at had the built in type of lenses so a mount would have to be custom fabricated. I'm not saying it cannot be done, just not very probable. In fact I'll even go out on a limb and say if this thing has to be detected in any way other than optical then most of the amateur community would be blind sided because anything other than optical (plus the different filters) would be specialized and probably hard to find in the public markets.

Its possible I'm missing something for thermal imaging with telescopes but so far I'm only seeing the above.

I'm skeptical because the details don't make sense. She's baffling us with a lot of scientific sounding details, mixed in with a variety of fear mongering stories, that make no dang sense, either by conventional astronomical physics, nor by such alternative astronomical physics as the Electric Universe.

Here's one more detail that doesn't match up. She claims (repeatedly) that one needs thermographic equipment to view this second sun, but that it only emits ultraviolet radiation, not visible light. If something's only emitting ultraviolet radiation, then infrared thermographic equipment will be even less useful than visible light optical equipment in viewing it.

That she has a specific date range in her forecast doesn't make me any less skeptical.

Paul, at least she is not saying this event is months away, but actually only days away.

This is great news to me because within a couple weeks or so she'll be old news and we'll either all be dead or laughing our asses off again about another doomsday monger......either way it's better than thread after thread about this nonsense like the Drake scenario etc caused.

PS: she isn't making sense to me either.....and giving us a date and an actual richter number for the quake at 15, sheesh, no one can be that precise with such events.

California gone by the end of the month???????????????? yeah right!

as I said before, "Drake on steroids!"

ADDED: Then again I may just go buy a camper and rent a bobcat to dig a hole for it!

The main problem I have with disputing Pattie Brassard's testimony is that it's riddled with confusions. I can shoot them down, one at a time, but it takes me a paragraph to dispute each misleading phrase, and that gets too tedious, both for me and the reader, and even that would not be convincing to those who don't have a firm and confident grasp of the physics and astronomy involved. Those who do have such a grasp will come to their own conclusions, with little need for my bloviating.

    Excellent find!

She says she recorded those images "last week" (or some such, I forget the exact phrase) on a remotely controlled telescope.

Those images on the page you linked were posted March 11, 2010.

I can see no interpretation for this other than she's lying.

    Hi Bill,

You'd prefer not to hear opinions, or you're asking us not to add posts that are strictly opinion? It's all I have. I'm not an amateur astronomer, nor could I intelligently read sky photos to discern what objects I would be looking at. I'll remind us that what I said about Drake, when I first heard him: (paraphrasing) "I believe he believes the info is true." I'd say, it's possible that this 'Patty Brassard' person believes herself, so she's not a "liar." In my opinion (sorry) this is hogwash. Worse, it is likely some "smoke" the magicians are using to distract something else we are not supposed to notice. Or, it is just another blast of poop to fill up our tinfoil hats, and anyone that repeats any of this is immediately - and permanently - discredited.

In the unlikely event that this info is true, remember that your seat cushion can be used as a flotation device. :~) And, as I don't happen to have a hole in the dirt to keep from frying, I'll see you all "on the other side." You can easily recognize me - I'll be the blob of bright green light with the big grin.

    Dennis

No Paul, that is not what she said. (She is certainly techy geeky, which I enjoy).
Her linked web page with those photos clearly attribute ownership to her own and those of NASA. An excellent find I agree, though she clearly stated her own photos were of the "pole of Mars" and the "bright object".
Furthermore the article that Pattie took the photos (astrobio link) were discussing the following:
A recently-discovered dwarf planet, named Sedna, has an extra-long and usual elliptical orbit around the Sun. Sedna is one of the most distant objects yet observed, with an orbit ranging between 76 and 975 AU (where 1 AU is the distance between the Earth and the Sun). Sedna’s orbit is estimated to last between 10.5 to 12 thousand years. Sedna’s discoverer, Mike Brown of Caltech, noted in a Discover magazine article that Sedna’s location doesn’t make sense.

Even that article gives a cyclic period of 12k years and not 3.6k years as Pattie alluded which was the same as Nibiru.

Maybe Bill or Kerry could Skype her?

My thanks to Mel Fabregas for an excellent interview (and share) with this interview with the so called 'whistleblower' Pattie L. Brassard ... Note in my opinion most of this information appears accurate... But one should also note most of this information has been out there for a while now just waiting to be compiled and delivered perhaps in such a dubious way?

The only real problem i have with all this is, when dates are predicted flags start waving in my head... And i am presently inclined to sense (and believe) that individuals such as Pattie L. Brassard, are usually groomed (fed info) ... Then purposely turned out by their handler's (groomers) often becoming disgruntled employees ... As she says and indicates in the interview... Health wise 'i am the walking dead' ... Which indicates perhaps a wanting desire to see everything come undone and collapse as she has concisely dictated ?

Paul, I'm with you re some of Pattie's confusion. I agree. But I'd just like to point out there's plenty of intelligent, informed opinion that the brown dwarf binary companion radiates strongly in the infrared (hence IRAS, some say). Any ultraviolet radiation may be a more local effect -- my guess. (But then if there was IR and UV, one might expect the visible spectrum to be there, too.)

    Quote Posted by SilentFeathers (here)

That worries me -- that in the third interview I posted on the previous page, Pattie is strongly encouraging people to go bury their $50,000 campers under a mound of dirt. That's a big decision! (Especially when nothing happens.)

She's also encouraging people to pack their bags and leave their houses immediately if they're anywhere near the coast. Also a huge decision.

Caveat: I am not encouraging people to do anything of the sort. But I'm also not writing this off quite yet. It has my attention today, for what that's worth. See my post #20 on the first page. As Silentfeathers says (rightly!) the good news -- sort of! -- is that we only have a short time to find out is this is nonsense.

In the meantime, what might not be too insane or ridiculous could be to invest in some stuff, not too expensively, that would not be a waste of money and would be used at some point anyway: like rice, sugar, tuna, flour, quinoa, pasta, honey, dried fruit, tahini, peanut butter, tea, coffee, dried milk, water filters, matches, candles, etc. And some stocks of diesel or gasoline if you already have a generator. Most readers here will know the drill and will already have given this some serious thought. No harm at all in doing that. There are plenty of reasons why those kind of simple, inexpensive reserves could be useful at some point in the next couple of years. No way to lose.

It's the one-liners like "I don't believe any of this BS" (<-- invented example!) that aren't very helpful, don't move the discussion forwards, and just take up space on the the thread. That was the only point I was making -- also to encourage good researchers (Amzer Zo, where are you?!) to chip in as much as possible with their insights.

    Excellent find!

She says she recorded those images "last week" (or some such, I forget the exact phrase) on a remotely controlled telescope.

Those images on the page you linked were posted March 11, 2010.

I can see no interpretation for this other than she's lying.
Thanks for that. But not all the images seem to be old ones. As Snoweagle said above,

Quote Her linked web page with those photos clearly attribute ownership to her own and those of NASA. An excellent find I agree, though she clearly stated her own photos were of the "pole of Mars" and the "bright object".
These (as far as I can see) are not old images. They're called Capture-4.jpg, Capture-5.jpg, Capture-6.jpg, and Thermal_Look.jpg. Please correct me if I'm wrong or have missed something.

Ah - thanks - I stand corrected. The NASA images from earlier years are not the ones she claimed to have taken recently.

    Sorry about that.

Patties mentioning of the second sun being observable only in UV, made me remember this (for whatever it possibly could be worth):

"At the east of the world stands
    The Midnight Mountain.
    Eternally his light is performing.
The human being's eye can not see him,
    And still he is there.

    Above the Midnight Mountain shines
    The Black Sun.
The human being's eye can not see her,
    And still she is there.

In the interior her light lights up.
The brave and the just ones are secluded -
Still the deity is with them.”

You will find the text here: http://www.illuminatiorder.info/krad.../balibu-e.html

The color of the text are the same as the background - black. You have to highlight the text to be able to read it.

The second sun, the black sun, viewable only in black light, UV?

This may well be off thread but NASA says the comet of the century will come Dec. 26 as close as .42au from Earth. Did Pattie say .32au ?

Yes - we face serious threats - perhaps catastrophic threats - from both natural (astronomical) and human (or other advanced species) sources. Indeed, if we properly understood the underlying physics of it all, it may not be just a coincidence that these two threats grow stronger at similar times.

Yes, I continue to prepare, in much the ways you list.

Over the top and deeply confused distractions, such as this case appears to be to me, don't serve us well however. Such distractions serve better the objectives of the bastards in power who are the origins, in conjunction with our own fears, of our other main threat.

As amateur astronomer myself; I can say all seems well in the distance. Nothing to really report. If this were true, we would have seen effects on the outer planets as they would have been pulled and spun out of their axis and alignments by now. These changes would have been clearly visible to the naked eye.

I have seen a comet stream across the sky as I gazed at "Mini Coat Hanger" and have also seen an "Unidentified" object, move across the sky as I looked into the darkness of space all from my 1.25" eyepiece.

Although, these experiences have left such an indelible impression on me that I will carry them with me for the rest of my life. All is well, All will be well!!!

But I'd just like to point out there's plenty of intelligent, informed opinion that the brown dwarf binary companion radiates strongly in the infrared (hence IRAS, some say)
My recollection, perhaps incorrect, is that Pattie said that this "Second Sun" radiated only in the ultraviolet.

I'm confident that you are correct that brown dwarfs radiate strongly in the infrared.

So, if I have my facts correct, Pattie's error was not in using thermographic (infrared) equipment to see it, but in claiming it only radiates in the ultraviolet spectrum.
