Default Sad death of Kevin Smith

It was sudden, three days ago he was admitted to hospital having had an heart attack, they fitted a "Stint" and he was released to home, perhaps too soon as he died yesterday. I will miss him very much, I enjoyed his radio show and there was a lot of useful information in it. He was dedicated to the show, lived and breathed to put the show on every night, often only on three hours sleep and living in his one room studio sleeping on the floor and later a camp bed. Well done Kevin and RIP mate.

Thanks Daft Ada - but how are you doing yourself? You had a major health issue last year, as I recall. I hope things are looking better for you these days.

Hi Araucaria, well that surprised me!, thank you so much for remembering. I have had a couple more operations for other things since then, and in fact I have one on the 30th of this month, but with regards to the Cancer, so far so good, I saw the team a couple of months ago and I'm still clear, now if I could just find a way to stop getting older I would be sorted

Here I thought you were talking about Kevin Smith from Clerks. Whew.

Sorry to hear of this Kevin's passing, although I am not familiar with him.

Not heard of Kevin Smith This was Kevin Smith http://www.kevinsmithshow.com/ He had a wonderful radio show, which for us in the UK would be in the early hours of the morning, but Kevin would always record it and post the vid of it for the likes of us, his shows covered everything from UFO's to Mars and the Moon and Ghosts and all the usual stuff like on Coast to Coast

My Kevin Smith is a writer/director/actor who has a blog talk show, writes for comics, makes movies and owns a comic book shop in NJ.

Hi Ultima Thule, well the tag line "I'm not a complete idiot, I have bit's missing" actually was a play on words referring to the fact I had half my guts ripped out in major surgery for Cancer, but some children on here thought it was something to make fun of, so I removed it. I have never denied being an idiot though, complete or not

News that shocked me. I am reading some lovely words about him on facebook today - James Horak wrote a very special ode to him. The man had enormous integrity - truly walked the talk and put himself on the frontline EVERY DAY.

May you be in a more caring place Kevin Smith - whereever you are right now, I am sure you have a very special seat. You, your voice and your passion will be missed down here on earth. I will endeavour to hold up your great work as a shining exemplar for the evolution.

That factual reference was precisely the reason I enjoyed it - humour amidst spiritual beings life in a corporeal body with very concrete experience!

    I celebrate his life

I have a theory what when most people die, they are actually quite free and happy.

Even though planet Earth is made so incredibly beautiful, living in a human body can be quite an emotional hardship for a soul.

Funny you should say that, it's always the good, kind and lovely people who seem to die early, the nasty and evil ones seem to last for ages, makes me think we cannot move on from this place until we have demonstrated without doubt that we are ready to be with others who are kind, good and lovely

The Kevin Smith show had a world wide audience and he listed his top 100 countries every month. Most of the regular call in people from the US and Canada were extremely bright and a joy to listen to also. Some people from Europe, Australia, etc. would email in their questions (to avoid costly phone calls) which were usually insightful, too.

Many NASA I.P. people listened in when he analyzed doctored NASA photos. His observations concerning what he found on Mars and Moon photos were very thought provoking and sometimes NASA would reworded some of their press releases when their stories seemed ridiculous after his analysis. And he regularly indicated that the idiot hackers interfering with his show were just making it obvious when he was touching info that some PTB didn't want revealed.

He was also a Biblical scholar who did his own translations of the Bible from the original languages, corrected some of the linguistic distortions in the Bibles commonly in use these days and published his translations online.

Kevin also interviewed some UFOlogists, milabs whistle blowers, etc.; at least those willing to face his challenging questions and yet he was kind and cordial to those who seemed to have diarrhea of the mouth and managed to pull out of them the important info of their stories.

He spent many years stationed around the globe as an international policeman with the U.S. State Department and was quite the investigator. These skills served him well in his radio show that was on the air about thirteen years (someone may remember the accurate number of years).

He would have made a terrific Ph.D. thesis advisor with his high octane brain but he was also critical of how mainstream academia gets lock up in their internal politics and closed down new discoveries by people Kevin interviewed.

His cohost, when Kevin was unavailable, was Jerry Wills of http://www.xpeditions.tv/ and I hear he is posting stuff on his facebook page about Kevin's death. Not being a facebook member, I can not access that info but I bet it is worth checking out. And I assume he and his partner and wife Kathy are very busy dealing with the repercussions of Kevin's death as well as his own anthropology/archeology show (better than many National Geographic shows) and his natural healing assignments for those in need.

Kevin was also a musician in his early years and the music on his show reflected his tastes. Not being a fan of such music, I suggest you hear Jerry's words about that (Jerry's old band was UFAUX).

Kevin will be an icon of internet radio for future generations and sorely missed by his regular listeners.

Jerry Wills will do a tribune to Kevin Smith during the regularly scheduled show time on Friday evening (10 P.M. EST) and will accept calls from all that wish to honor Kevin.
