Default One of The Best Well Kept Secrets

----In my opinion and by my research, as an historian , one of THE BEST WELL KEPT SECRETS, is the Consolamentum of the Cathars.

A critical view of the text found in the net
    ------------------------------------------
«Consolamentum, known as heretication to its Christian opponents, was the unique sacrament of the Cathars.
In common with Christianity, Cathars believed in original sin, and, like Gnostics, believed temporal pleasure to be sinful or unwise. The process of living thus inevitably incurred 'regret' that required 'consolation' to move nearer to God or to approach heaven. It occurred only twice in a lifetime: upon confirmation in the faith and upon impending death. It was available to both men and women who made a commitment to the faith. Following the ceremony the consoled individual became a "Cathar Perfect"

According to the Albigenses and other Cathars, the consolamentum was an immersion (or baptism) in the Holy Spirit. It implied reception of all spiritual gifts including absolution from sin, spiritual regeneration, and the power to preach and elevation to a higher plane of perfection.

    The Ritual

Reference to the trinity was systematically replaced with the name of Christ since the doctrine of the Albigenses and Cathars professed a single unified deity (their Christology resembled modalistic monarchism in the West and adoptionism in the East).

The ritual took various forms; some used the entire New Testament scripture whilst others relied on extracts such as the Gospel attributed to John while administering consolation. There were reportedly some remote cases where holy water was used as a cleansing agent during consolamentum being profusely poured over the recipient's head until he/she was completely wet (as opposed to sprinkling).

In contrast to mainstream Christian ceremonies the form used by the majority of Cathars only required verbal blessings and scriptures administered to person to be consoled and did not involve tokens such as consecrated bread or wine because these would pass through the body and become befouled. Dying persons might abstain from food in order that their bodies be as pure as possible as it passed into eternity.

According to a few known cases in the latter years of Catharism, the terminally ill would voluntarily undertake a complete fast known as the endura. It was only undertaken when death was clearly inevitable. It was a form of purification and separation from the material world which was controlled by the evil one. They believed that this final sacrifice ensured their reunification with the Good God.

Laying on of hands were always part of the ceremony. Some historians have stated that incidences of ecstatic utterances during Consolamentum was actually glossolalia, or "speaking in tongues," which demanded that the rite be even more secretly guarded since this phenomenon occurring outside of the Church was considered witchcraft and was punishable by death.

Once consoled, Parfaits were required to be vegetarian, to be celibate, and to dedicate their lives to travelling and teaching Albigensian and Cathar doctrines. These Parfaits were the leaders of the Albigensian and other Cathar communities (Albigenses were a branch of Cathari in what was to later become southern France. Most people use the term Albigenses when referring to those that adhered to a branch of Cathari that was less dualistic and more closely resembled orthodoxy).

The vast majority of the population did not receive consolamentum until on the verge of death. Once given the consolamentum, the same rules applied to them, though they were obviously not expected to travel or preach from their deathbed. This allowed most believers to live somewhat normal lives and receive consolamentum shortly before passing away.»

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---- I don't have any doubts that this transmission of sacred energy, called by the Church an evil «ritual», was what we have come to know by many other names , as «The Tradition of the Golden Thread» in India, China etc, as the baptism of «The HOLY FIRE OF THE SACRED/HOLY SPIRIT»,- as «REIKI» in Japan (and now, all over the world), Zohar initiations (Judaism), Sufi initiations, Tibetan Pujas etc, etc , etc

«Known as «heretication» to its Christian opponents, this was the unique sacrament of the Cathars.
In common with Christianity, Cathars believed in original sin, and, like Gnostics, believed temporal pleasure to be sinful or unwise.»

----According to the remaining information about the Cathars, they though it unwise to be pay excessive attention to the Material World, an exterior illusion that prevented people to connect directly with the divine, with their sacred self or as it is often called, with the «I AM presence» of each individual or listen to their «Voice of Conscience».

«The process of living thus inevitably incurred 'regret' that required 'consolation' to move nearer to God or to approach heaven. It occurred only twice in a lifetime: upon confirmation in the faith and upon impending death.»

----Contrary to what the official History position, more often the ritual took place «upon confirmation in the faith».
But, if one thinks about it, the «impending death» situation would preserve secrecy and divert attention from those who were «initiated» in the energy, thus eluding persecution from the official Catholic Church.

«Consolamentum was available to both men and women who made a commitment to the faith. Following the ceremony the consoled individual became a "Cathar Perfect".
According to the Albigenses and other Cathars, the consolamentum was an immersion (or baptism) in the Holy Spirit.»

----So, this confirms that the individual received the energy...the immersion in water is a metaphor of the event, of the new state that the individual was now experiencing.

----In truth, when I «work with energy» it feels much like I'm surrounded by a vibration. This vibration fells much like when one is under water in the beach.

    «The Consolamentum implied reception of «all spiritual gifts« including «absolution from sin», «spiritual regeneration», and the «power to preach« and «elevation to a higher plane of perfection».

----So, karmic atonement, emotional balance, mental transformation and the rise of the vibratory state of the individual. Not bad !!!

    --------------------------------------
    The Ritual

«Reference to the trinity was systematically replaced with the name of Christ since the doctrine of the Albigenses and Cathars professed a single unified deity (their Christology resembled modalistic monarchism in the West and adoptionism in the East).
The ritual took various forms; some used the entire New Testament scripture whilst others relied on extracts such as the Gospel attributed to John while administering consolation.
There were reportedly some remote cases where holy water was used as a cleansing agent during consolamentum being profusely poured over the recipient's head, until he/she was completely wet (as opposed to sprinkling).»

---- These remote cases might have been also a diversion, a strategy of sorts, as not to give away the true nature of the ritual in the presence of strangers to the faith. In the presence of catholics .making the ritual more like an official catholic baptism would not rise suspicion because many people converted to the Cristian faith, at the time of death.

«In contrast to mainstream Christian ceremonies the form used, by the majority of Cathars, only required «verbal blessings» and scriptures administered to person to be consoled and did not involve tokens, such as consecrated bread or wine, because these would pass through the body and become befouled.»

----So, again the verbal blessings were more enough for the initiation, thus indicating the Cathar Perfect Will of Transmission the Energy to the new Perfect.

----In this process, many dying persons might abstain from food in order that their bodies be as pure as possible as it passed into eternity.

----Though not required for a dying person, fasting was a common practice in all known religions, as a way of sharpening the qualities of the individual (sight and earring) to better communicate with the Spirit.

----Examples : Ramadan - Muslims; the forty-day partial fast to commemorate the fast observed by Christ during his temptation in the desert. Jesus warned his followers against fasting only to make others admire them. He provided practical steps on how to fast in private. (Matthew 6:16–18)

More about FASTING here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fasting

«According to a few known cases in the latter years of Catharism, the terminally ill would voluntarily undertake a complete fast known as the «endura».
It was only undertaken when death was clearly inevitable.
It was a form of purification and separation from the material world which was controlled by the evil one.
They believed that this final sacrifice ensured their reunification with the Good God.»

---As I said, the option to fast is a personal option, it is not a necessary requirement to receive the «energy». And we know the medical reason why...there is a depletion of the body energy, hypoglycemia etc., in a moderate healthy individual.

---But for a dying person, the practice would be acceptable although not endorsed.

«Laying on of hands were always part of the ceremony.»

----The tranmission was by laying of hands much like we see in REIKI, in the egypcian iniciations of the Pharaohs (the water of Ethernal Life, many Anks, are poured over the head of the Pharaoh )

»Some historians have stated that incidences of ecstatic utterances during Consolamentum was actually glossolalia, or "speaking in tongues," which demanded that the rite be even more secretly guarded since this phenomenon occurring outside of the Church was considered witchcraft and was punishable by death.»

---- So, the phenomenon was recognized but it had to stay «under control»

----Here is the first scriptural account of speaking in tongues:

``When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. (Acts 2:1-4).``

This experience is what John, the Baptist and Jesus called the baptism in the Holy Spirit. This was the fulfillment of Jesus promise, "In a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 1:5).

Every Christian believes in baptizing in water.
But few accept the better baptism--the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

The Bible clearly teaches that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from salvation and comes after a person is saved, although it can occur at the time of salvation.

The story of the Samaritan converts plainly proves this (see Acts 8:5-25). Philip preached to them about Christ. The people joyfully accepted the gospel and was born again.

They confirmed their faith by being baptized as well. Yet, despite the fact that these folks were truly saved, Philip called for the apostles to come and pray for them that they would receive the Holy Spirit.

It is clear from this story that being saved is not the same as receiving the Holy Spirit. (Although the Holy Spirit is definitely involved in salvation.)

Five examples in the Bible of people receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit (see Acts 2:4; 8:17; 9:17; 10:44; 19:6).
In three out of the five examples we are told that specific signs took place.
In the other two examples, the manifestation of physical signs taking place are implied, but not mentioned.

Paul uses concerning speaking in tongues. In this chapter he calls speaking in tongues "different kinds of tongues" (see 12:10,28).

"Different kinds" means "not the usual."

The usual kind of speaking in tongues is a language no man understands or interprets.

However, speaking in "different kinds" of tongues enables the speaker or someone else to recognize the meaning of the tongue and thereby interpreting it.

So when Paul ask the question, "Do all speak in tongues?", he is referring to the public manifestation of tongues which enables a person gifted in interpretation to speak out the meaning of the tongue. Not all have been given this gift of "different kinds" of tongues.

In the fourteenth chapter of this epistle, Paul corrects the misuse of tongues in the church. He told them to stop the practice gathering "the whole church [so] everyone [can] speak in tongues".

Notice carefully that the "whole church" was gathered and that "everyone" was speaking in tongues.

This clearly shows us that everyone in the Corinthian church was speaking in tongues.

Most of them should have allowed those gifted in the "different kinds" of tongues to exercise their gift, and the rest should simply "keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God" .

Well, if you think about it....where does tongues come from?
It comes from Heaven! Tongues is the heavenly language.
It is what is spoken in heaven; the only difference is that the people in heaven understand what they are saying.
Here, on earth, Paul says, "For anyone who speaks in tongues does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understand him; he utters mysteries with his spirit" .

Jesus says that those who believe in Him will "speak in new tongues" (Mark 16:17). The word "new" means appearing for the first time.
No one had spoken these languages before.
Contrary to bad theology tongues is not an ability given to preach the gospel in the language of foreigners.

This would make tongues "old" languages. It is only appropriate that "new tongues" should be spoken by those of the "new birth." It is natural and normal to speak in the language of your birth. We are born again from above, therefore we should speak the language from above--that language is called "new tongues."

Conclusion in a nutshell - this new energy and all these new talents were dangerous.
One can see were this lead up to...running away and keeping the mouth shutted if one wanted to live ....

«Once «consoled», Parfaits were required to be vegetarian, to be celibate, and to dedicate their lives to travelling and teaching Albigensian and Cathar doctrines.

---To all Lightworkers this requirement to be vegetarian is nothing new, so much for people who do Yoga, martial arts, etc

«These Parfaits were the leaders of the Albigensian and other Cathar communities (Albigenses were a branch of Cathari in what was to later become southern France. »

---Right, the South of France ! ABOUT THIS THEME see BILL RYAN THREAD , in « The real Jesus, the real Mary, Gnosis, the Archons, and the world's first major smear campaign »

Most people use the term Albigenses when referring to those that adhered to a branch of Cathari that was less dualistic and more closely resembled orthodoxy)»

---Well, this means properly speaking, that Albigensianism was not a Christian heresy but an extra-Christian religion.

Ecclesiastical authority, after persuasion had failed, adopted a course of severe repression, which led at times to regrettable excess.

Simon of Montfort intended well at first, but later used the pretext of religion to usurp the territory of the Counts of Toulouse.

The death penalty was, indeed, inflicted too freely on the Albigenses, but it must be remembered that the penal code of the time was considerably more rigorous than ours, and the excesses were sometimes provoked.

Raymond VI and his successor, Raymond VII, were, when in distress, ever ready to promise, but never to earnestly amend.

Pope Innocent III was justified in saying that the Albigenses were "worse than the Saracens"; and still he counselled moderation and disapproved of the selfish policy adopted by Simon of Montfort.

What the Church combated was principles that led directly not only to the ruin of Christianity, but to the very extinction of the human race.

«The vast majority of the population did not receive consolamentum until on the verge of death.
Once given the consolamentum, the same rules applied to them, though they were obviously not expected to travel or preach from their deathbed.
This allowed most «believers» to live somewhat normal lives and receive consolamentum shortly before passing away.»

---As said above this policy ensured the secrecy of the energy transmission among the Cathars and , so they hoped , rid them of the persecution of the Church !
