800,000 sleepers, that bought the governments lies and still think that muslims were responsible.

what I see in this is that the leaders of the bikers are manipulated to manipulate the others to start another VERSUS (war)

If a group of biker is by any chance reading Avalon thread,

PLEASE HAVE THE GUTS TO PUT CARDS UP ASKING FOR PEACE AND FOR TRUTH - HAVE THE GUTS TO GET OTHER BIKERS TO CHANT PEACE AND TRUTH (911 AND OTHER) WITH YOU.

Have the guts to start the movements, most bikers do not want war either I bet.

Make sure the bikers do not get mispelled and mix up with bankster, to become biksters. That would be quite a raw energy lost for peace and truth.

I'll chime in here flash, yeah I'm a biker, businessman, veteran. The group I belong to has approx. 50,000 members. Were a major contributor to Feed the children every year, our association also purchases semis on an individual basis (40,000 lbs of food a click) and takes them to the food bank personally and hands them out. We also have our own foundation now that we have a way to help those in our association financially with a simple form to fill out for any type of hardship out there. When your in any biker group , you are in a family .

For me personally I have been to Washington DC 3 times for rolling thunder. Rolling Thunder was started and still is a demonstration to remember the Americans who are MIA ( missing in action) or POW prisoners of war and to never forget. It is also an opportunity to bring attention to and honor the gold star mothers ( a woman who has lost a son, daughter, or husband ) in a conflict. It's an honor to be a gold star mother escort which I have been each time I have attended and we give them a ride thru the precession thru DC on a bike.

The phrase Rolling Thunder comes from when the carpet bombing in Vietnam was happening, it sounded like rolling thunder as does 500,000 bikes running the streets of DC for 7 hours.

Let me give you my take on Bikers, I've traveled all over the US and Canada on a bike, You have your biker clubs who are your more historical ones and then there are the new groups coming up to. Bikers are a bread apart, but most are true to the core. I would trust a biker before anyone else . Yes many are vets, patriotic , and will ride the edge if need be, many I believe showed up in DC because we were told we were not granted a permit. I would have been there if it wasn't a 15 hour ride one way. Why would I have been there, for the same reasons that all the bikers showed up, this is our country, we love this country , and many are tired of the BS coming out of Washington DC these days and if we want to honor the people of 9/11 then we will permit or not. I think saying NO was frosting on the cake of all of the mismanagement of this great country.

If you were one to say that bikers are out of control , I stood at a soldiers funeral a few years ago holding an American flag side by side with Vietnam vets while the coffin was driven by . In the background was the westland church with banners saying this soldier was a homosexual and deserved to die and yelling that out to. For the 100 vets that honored this young mans sacrifice , not ONE broke ranks to go beat the crap out of these parasites at this families funeral. The only thing we did was line up 10 bikes and point our exhaust at them on the curb and drown out there chants with our pipes so the family didn't have to hear this rant about their son while the funeral was going on. That's the caliber of almost all bikers. By the way the protesters did leave, couldn't handle the exhaust .

I was at another bar one night where a 22 year young man was trying to start some trouble with us, we kept it under control until he pushed his own girlfriend physically then the line was drawn for him, he decided not to touch his girlfriend again.

There is a biker event in Canada every year Bikerreunion.ca , 7-10,000 bikes show up every year for the weekend, $110,000 was raised this past year for cancer research , all by bikers. On the parade of bikes , the first stop of a couple thousand bikes with a police escort is at the cancer hospital to give flowers to every patient in their that has cancer. Rolling thru the little towns people are out in the streets with signs saying thank you bikers. I ride 9 hours just to get to this event from Michigan .

I personally throw a party at my property every year , have had up to 200 bikers there for music, bar-b-que and just plain friendship , never had a problem and I open up my place to them all for the entire weekend plus we raise some monies for charity too.

So there's some stories of what being a biker really is about , and riding a long hard day , sitting at a pub at the end of the day and sharing a cold brew with those you just rode with for the day is the best display of friendship , family and honor amongst those who get on that iron horse to see the country and enjoy the passion of being free. Most of us are anti-war, and just pro live your life in peace, most of know whats going on and we ride the edge for causes, the right ones. Hope that helps explain a few things. Now let's ride!!!!!!!!

I knew. You are a force in itself, and if you put your mind into something, as a group, you are a force that politicians cannot reckon with.

This is raw energy with a discipline. Put to good, it can make miracles. If all bikers decided to put their disciplined raw energy to good, I just can't imagine how far it could go.

    Thanks for the information,

Thanks for the good deeds done. Dare doing more.

pyrangello, wow, what marvelous info and I say that when I am a pollen allergy ridden redhead with a complexion subject to easy skin burning. Thus I have no passion for outdoor and speed based activities! gentle gardening in the shade is my style.

Nevertheless, I am aware of many attorney and doctors who are bikers. My stereotype caution and trepidation about bikers were formed in the early sixties. I'm a sure you are aware of the negative images. I am glad your are rewriting the negative impressions.

Too bad the PR gal and organizers in DC didn't project a more powerful positive image of their intentions. Too bad some images of bikers and Muslims together weren't shown: two misrepresented minority groups united for peace and tolerance.

    Thanks for your uplifting post!

pyrangello. I dont own a bike myself but know many who do. They are all absolute angels who do nothing but the best for all people from all walks of life. (I know there are a few not so good (as we find in any group or sub culture), but 99% IMHO are the good guys)

Thank you for all that you do and for speaking up.

Thanks to all, yeah there are 1% 's out there that create some problems, but typically if they get out of line there own groups take care of them internally, On the highway running into the traditional clubs like the outlaws, hells angels , scorpions, ect ect , as long as there is no disrespect , there are no issues no matter what backpatch or color you wear. And actually our organization rides with some of these groups for charity stuff too! I remember every year at rolling thunder, there is a club called the NAM VETS , they always take a pic in front of the Washington memorial . Have the upmost respect for those guys, it was a BS war but they have my respect. Just remember in this great country of the USA all that makes the news is the 2% of the wackos out there everyday, that means the rest of us 98% are just living our lives as best we can , and I would say that for most of the rest of the humanitarian human beings of this planet in countries all around the world and here on Avalon . Living in peace , enjoying the things that are most important!
