Default Bill Ryan's 2011 Avalon interview

    -------

    Dear All:

I watched this video again just now, for the first time in a couple of years. I have to say (if I may!): it's really quite good.

There may be many members who've never seen or heard this. To a considerable degree, it's a kind of Project Avalon manifesto, absolutely as valid today as it was in 2011. I'd strongly recommend that anyone who's not seen it might take a look. You'll know after the first few minutes whether this is worth your time.

The YouTube link is below. It can also be streamed or downloaded from
    http://projectavalon.net/Bill_Ryan_A...iew_part_1.mp4 (68 mins)

    The audio is here:
    http://projectavalon.net/Bill_Ryan_A...iew_part_1.mp3

    Enjoy.

I love the song at the intro, hope my connection eventually lets me watch the video.
My wireless is borrowed and when I pause or move the ticker on the vid, it resets my streaming to zero!!

I fully intend to watch this when possible! Thank you for posting this for new people!

    Hi Bill,

Thanks for sharing the vid, got a question.

How do you see Avalon moving from a "mosaic of info place" to a "let's do something together" type of community?

I agree with you when you say that we already have all the info we need to move to the action stage. Do you see that coming from the individual side only or via the collective power here in Avalon.

    All my best,
    Azt

    Hey Bill,

Yours is such an important, reassuring voice, and it's great to see you on camera again, even if it's an older video.

Have you retired from this, old timer?. or will we see you back in front or behind the camera sometime soon? We all know you're busy doing what you're doing down in Ecuador, but I selfishly hope you are inspired at some point in the near future to do an interview or 2. It's a much needed voice during these times.

I agree that another video would be a good idea, although I don't think it needs to be an interview. Bill is good at communicating and videos are a popular way of communicating. A video from Bill weaving together all the threads of news to form a picture of where we are at and where we may be heading and why would be great. I was drawn to Avalon after watching the videos posted on the home page.

If there are other amazing communicators in Ecuador where Bill lives, perhaps they could get together and make videos of conversations (much like the amazing sessions from Rupert Sheldrake, Terence McKenna and Ralph Abraham).

Gonna watch it when I take a break from editing, and I'm late coming from this spiritual unity site. Loved that first time i saw him with Kerry and they debated and added information from all their sources. Truly a mind awakening experience. Look forward to it Bill, thanks.
Tesla sorry to hear about that connection thingy. Is it because you are in a rural or valley area? What service are you using?
Sounds like you have connection problems are you on clearwire, because I don't have much of a problem with it, and I know it's 50 for the hot shot, and if you use the portable devices that click in to pc, then the price is half if you "buy two."
    Hope this helps.

I lost my pc with my book I was editing on it, and I recommend if you ever do one, to use a port to store it, and send it to your e-mail for proof is someone tries to steal it, and to save in case you get a "black screen, like I did. Got to go to the pros to get my green trade courses off. Son in GA can do all that stuff, but I'm in VA and have to send the pc to him.

Every time I got close to completion, there was an attack on my pc. I use my hubby's now and it's googled so many sites I used to visit, I no long do because the log in and google tracking and being cautious.

A really good way to get people to watch the longer vids might be making a short intro video with some modern references.

Sometimes people won't click on the longer ones because of bad connection or lack of time.

I know it sounds annoying to try to condense thing, but for a website statement or something,
a short video might be really smart.

You could leave a lot of things open-ended while at the same time making memorable statements.

but i have never made a serious video, personally!

right: doesn't need to be an interview. i'm with 100%. just something. anything. the spoken voice is so much dimensionally stronger than the written word (in my opinion), and really just an interesting compliment/diversion to/from the written word.

I believe someone has already asked this Bill, and I seem to recall asking you a ways back: is there a part 2?

Bill, i'm curious, and I hope i'm not being indelicate here, but I feel compelled to ask: has anyone ever warned you off doing additional interviews/videos? have you ever been threatened to discourage you from doing them?

    thanks.

A Simon Parkes interview would be great.
There were a lot of questions that Avalonians had for him that he wasn't getting asked elsewhere.
I wonder if that had anything to do with his current non-participation here.
But Bill has a way with getting answers without making his interviewees uncomfortable, and I think that could serve well in the case of Simon Parkes, who might be more forthcoming given the proper venue.
I imagine he gets bored with the same old questions and answers himself.

A Simon Parkes interview would be great.
There were a lot of questions that Avalonians had for him that he wasn't getting asked elsewhere.
I wonder if that had anything to do with his current non-participation here.
But Bill has a way with getting answers without making his interviewees uncomfortable, and I think that would serve well in the case of Simon Parkes, who I think would like to be more forthcoming given the proper venue.
I imagine he gets bored with the same old questions and answers himself.
    Absolutely.

At this point I can think of no one more interesting and important to listen to.

There doesn't need to be any travel expense (Simon jokes that all it takes is a drink in the Pub and a sandwich ... hey I could pop for that ) ... nice to watch the eyes of those talking in a video ... but he has many out there and has established himself as credible ... so all it would take is an audio interview.

Between Bill and Simon ... I expect there would be some very serious information that is greatly needed for humanity that could come forth.

Certainly, though as Flash reiterated here (post 31108):

i'd like to cast an additional 2 votes for Simon Parkes: one for me and one for Pinhead (who unfortunately can't be here today, but has kindly asked that I represent him in this thread).

Somehow before a while this video was on my start page of the forum, and I have heard it I think many times. I really like Bill's voice, saying this because I usually play it and do something else in another window .
And when I have this rush to write too fast or too emotional I just say to myself 'Bill would never do this, because he knows the presentation is as important as the content, so do like him, find the balance inside'. For anyone knowing me I usually don't try to flatter people just for my own benefit, only trying to be honest.
    ...
I am still listening to the interview as I type. In the light of my personal journey last few weeks and especially today, some words fall so precisely in their respectful places that I feel this great feeling of quiet happiness and peace... and some tears in me eyes... total love and gratitude.
