Default Clean water - find a spring!

This is a great resource - if you know of a spring in your area, please add the location to this site!

    http://www.findaspring.com/

And please feel free to post this link to other forums and mailing lists where this info might be welcome (e.g., forums relating to hiking/camping, off-the-grid living, nature/environmental, regional events forums, etc).

Right now in Italy, there is a war being waged over water...one group wants to put water distribution/ownership in the hands of private companies; the other is trying to keep water "free", or rather, "public", claiming that everyone has a right to water, therefore, it is a public resource.

There is a city that has sold it's water rights to a private and now their water bills have gone up to even 300%. Police have been seen escorting the company's techs when they cut someone off because of unpaid bills.

Another city, has built public distributors where you can bottle your own water, natural or sparkling, for free.

What if this site (just thinking) is to get generous but ingenious people to offer info to map out where the resources are so that the governments can come in and seize those resources???

I know nothing about water rights in any country, but I smell a skunk.

Otherwise, I think that everyone should know or try to find out where they could get fresh water off the grid.

    Hi Morningsong,

You might want to do a bit of research about the fellow who started this site (Daniel Vitalis), what his philosophies are and what his other lines of work are (relating to vegan/raw foods, good nutrition, etc). You would find that he is a supporter of public access to free, clean drinking water and is bringing attention to this cause at a grass-roots level. I am certain he would be shocked that anyone would mistake him for being part of "big business" or "The Powers that Be".

Thanks, Nenuphar! You're right, I didn't look, sorry. But you know, some crooked crook could get an economical edge from info like this.... Maybe Iìve been in Italy too long....lol

Nearest one to me is at Glastonbury but that's 25 miles away and everyone knows where it is so you would be queuing forever to get some water. Must be one nearer than that

That is a horrendous increase in water bills and seems very unjust. I hope you live in an area where the water is still a public resource!

Yes, our water is still "public" so we only pay township fees (about €100 a year) which includes sewer, etc. Our water is spring water and is only filtered. And this town still has public drinking fountains and even washing fountains about every 200mts anywhere you go. I have one of those just beside my house and use it quite often, especially in the summer to water the garden (yes, I haul it but some people hook up temporary garden hoses). The water there is free to anyone. Often city folk stop to fill containers before returning to their awful water at home.

As most people need ~3 to 4 Litres of good water a day this spring idea doesn't seem to be a good option as that is a lot of travelling unless you live on the spring...

My thread I created here on the old forum http://projectavalon.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7340
    Highlights why water is important...

I distill my water getting over 99% of the toxins out of the water, then I remineralise it and vortex it to clear the remaining energy effects and re-energise it... details all in the link.

I know use a TDS meter and a ocean water mineral powder from an aquarium. The last post I made there says all I do...

I would say the movie "Blue Gold : World Water Wars - LIMITED - DVDRip - GCJM" and "The Cost of a Coke 2nd" provide a wealth of information on the subject of water shortages. Drinkable water is in short supply and with private companies pumping it out of the ground and then selling it back to the local population in bottles and elsewhere in the country the poor people are the ones who suffer. At the end of the day the rich get richer and the poor are left to drink contaminated water and die. You can search for the above documentaries via google and download via torrent file sharing. They will make you aware of the huge issues concerning this natural resource.
I intend to purchase a water distiller and use that to steam and condense tap water that way avoiding fluoride contamination and the other chemicals our drinking water are laced with. Adding minerals like 'connecting with sauce' suggested sounds good I've got some himalayan salt I may use.

This is better than nothing but will have more NaCl than is needed. The salt I use is called Ocean salt and is all of the minerals found in sea water not sea salt there is a difference.

    Good luck...

On the spring part this series is worth listening to... https://youtube.com/watch?v=nA1E15WdAyw

And what he discusses is the "structured water" which is mentioned in my thread or some people called "Pi" water water is a liquid crystal hence the ability to hold memory... one of the reasons I distill my water as this splits the molecules and looses the memory (bad part) from the tap water... then I remineralise to get good TDS levels 200-350 ppm and then re-energise it in a vortex like victor S discusses... all the are in my links on the old forum.
