I've been snowmobiling Yellowstone for 16 years , the area is living and breathing all the time releasing pressure and steaming , old faithful spewing off every 20 minutes. The magma moving, the crust of the land raising and lowering up and down as the pressure builds and releases. Been up 10,000 feet above Yellowstone in the mountains in the winter. Oh what site it is. I wouldn't worry about this , I'd really be more concerned with the 600 tons of radiated water entering the ocean on the pacific side everyday from japan than this blowing.

    Would be interesting to watch

How often do you really get to see a volcano blow like that!

Well, you can just hop on a plane right now and go to Guatemala...
The El Fuego volcano erupted today, quite big, in fact.

Whatever this forum focuses on, then becomes real, without much delay.

Those sailing the Pacific are reporting a dead ocean ...

That is an awesome photo , absolutely wonderful to see the different shades of whites and grays and the curvature in the shape of the clouds.
If only I was rich enough to jump on an airplane to see such an example of something so interesting and spectacular.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Ecclesiastes 9:11
    King James Version (KJV)

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Mother Gaia is waking up, and she is pissed off at the greed and violence of mankind.

I totally agree with the statements above that if there is any issue to mobilize people to action, it must be Fukushima, and the shameful lack of action on the part of Japan in dealing with the ticking time bomb on their shores.

If only a small fraction of the people reading this sent letters, tweets, emails or Facebook messages to the major media in the US about this looming peril we would see Japan find the political will to act very quickly.
