Hasn't it already basically been proven (or at least strongly theorized) that we are the product of said invasion? (genetic manipulation of a pre-existing life form)

Yet no one who theorizes as such ever gives credit to the alleged invaders for our intelligence, ingenuity, or creative/cognitive capacity. They just point to the ills of society and say, "it's all their fault!" Projection, anyone? Abdication of responsibility? Does a bear sh!t in the woods?

Sorry, but it's just that these theories are incomplete pictures at the very best. The attitude that we are categorically innocent victims and anything "other" is the enemy is incredibly predictable and exceedingly annoying to me.

I agree, we just have to Wake up and stop playing victim. I think it is Carmody who wrote today that we, human, have not much talent in telepathy nor telekinesy, but that our reach was extremely large, to the end of the universe., just need to Wake up and some training, no more victims.

And it is a cute movie anyhow.

actually that's exactly how the theory goes.

we were manipulated to increase our intelligence, our frontal cortex is supposedly all thanks to this (and may be why we have 3 distinct layers of the brain).
