Default Forget-Internet soon will be the OUTERNET

Forget the Internet - soon there will be the OUTERNET: Company plans to beam free Wi-fi to every person on Earth from space

.An ambitious project known as Outernet is aiming to launch hundreds of
miniature satellites into low Earth orbit by June 2015
.Each satellite will broadcast the Internet to phones and computers giving
billions of people across the globe free online access
.Citizens of countries like China and North Korea that have censored online
activity could be given free and unrestricted cyberspace
.There's really nothing that is technically impossible to this'

Could sound great at first sight, at least in terms of EMF exposure, as a satellite source is by definition much further away than a phone mast or a local or a city Wi-Fi base station.

But this also means a garanteed explosion of hand-held Wi-Fi units (which are all land-based 'base-stations' by themselves), thus much, much more radiation points.
Also, it seems reasonable to assume that unless the signal is really strong (which I doubt), the hand-held units will nead to 'scream' with much higher power output.

As for freedom of information, I would not be surprised if this Outernet would be a restricted, limited and controlled version of today's Internet.

This is also global surveillance. In the hand of the good, it would be great. In the hands of the actual powers, it is terrible.

    Of course it will .

From the basic technology on up, satellite communications are better suited for broadcasting the same (or a few hundred channels of the same) content to billions of viewers than they are suited to a two-way, good bandwidth each way, form of communication.

A couple hundred cable channels of pablum aren't sufficient, so now they will extract "accepted" or "popular" Internet material to provide a couple hundred more channels.

This is the same transformation as radio underwent, from the hands of the few communicating equally with each other, to yet another means of "mass communication" (as those of you Americans a bit older than myself, who first listened to US President Roosevelt's "fire side chats" on the radio, might recall from the 1930's.)

Since the number of channels from this Outernet will be limited (the economic structure of the investment required to set this system up would be sufficiently large so as to ensure that the number of channels is limited, even if the technical details didn't), therefore our "big brother" will of course work in "our best interest" to ensure that the best, authorized, materials and sources are provided.

To quote the article linked in the opening post of this thread:
Quote Much like how you receive a signal on your television and flick through channels, Outernet will broadcast the Internet to you and allow you to flick through certain websites.

Good point, people tend to forget this (Including my own kids). There is no WiFi in this house and they keep
saying "but there is still radiation from the neighbors"? True, at least lower intensity ... I even had to convince
one of my neighbors to lock his WiFi otherwise my kids would still be on their smart phones all day long.

Yep, satellites are vulnerable and can easily be blocked or taken out when certain power groups still want
to censor information, so I doubt that that's the real reason.

Another thought I had about shoving worldwide access through everybody's throat is something like project
blue beam. If you want to deceive worldwide you have to make sure you control all the media streams
    worldwide at the same time.

    Bombarding earth with wifi????

German government just announced (finally!!!) that wifi, DECT and mobile phone radiation is harmful to our health.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/environ...fi-401845.html

    Quote
People should avoid using Wi-Fi wherever possible because of the risks it may pose to health, the German government has said.

Its surprise ruling – the most damning made by any government on the fast-growing technology – will shake the industry and British ministers, and vindicates the questions that The Independent on Sunday has been raising over the past four months.

And Germany's official radiation protection body also advises its citizens to use landlines instead of mobile phones, and warns of "electrosmog" from a wide range of other everyday products, from baby monitors to electric blankets.

The German government's ruling – which contrasts sharply with the unquestioning promotion of the technology by British officials – was made in response to a series of questions by Green members of the Bundestag, Germany's parliament.

The Environment Ministry recommended that people should keep their exposure to radiation from Wi-Fi "as low as possible" by choosing "conventional wired connections". It added that it is "actively informing people about possibilities for reducing personal exposure".

Its actions will provide vital support for Sir William Stewart, Britain's official health protection watchdog, who has produced two reports calling for caution in using mobile phones and who has also called for a review of the use of Wi-Fi in schools. His warnings have so far been ignored by ministers and even played down by the Health Protection Agency, which he chairs.

By contrast the agency's German equivalent – the Federal Office for Radiation Protection – is leading the calls for caution.

Florian Emrich, for the office, says Wi-Fi should be avoided "because people receive exposures from many sources and because it is a new technology and all the research into its health effects has not yet been carried out".

Never mind the wifi as long as most people (and probably your neighbours too) use DECT technology based telephones and babyphones in their house.
This goes right through walls and penetrates your house.

Think of wifi as a cessna type plane and DECT as a jumbojet.

Perhaps it will mean less freedom, more surveillance, higher exposure to EMW and microwaves, and even a shorter life span for users. It fits within the PTB plan for mass extinction doesn't it?

When I came back to Europe from India in 2005 ( I've entirely missed the start of the internet boom and bloom here ..) , I hoped for laptop at some point and internet connection ..and thought this is how it works !! .
I knew hell not you still need cables, routers and pay companies aka internet providers to make the whole thing so complicated .

So yes I hope for this to occur , delayed by 10 years at least .. free wifi in the air and all you need to connect is your reception enabled device

That's interesting. When a couple of years ago I got my Macbook I developed an annoying eczema to my right palm and to both of my soles. I've had rash previously in my life too, but it has never gotten this bad. I also have candida which has complicated my life a lot and I think that it is causing the eczema, but could the laptop and actually worsen my skin condition? It certainly makes me think if I should get rid of this machine...

Wind, Natural radiation in low does such as radiation hormesis will knock that candida out. You can do this with natural stones and or beads. You might also have internal parasites that need to be killed off which natural radiation will do.

Really? Natural radiation is a new subject to me, I don't know much about it. Where could I get those stones and are they really safe, could you tell me more about it?

Yes the stones are safe and you can purchase beads as well. I know where to get everything cheaply.
