Divide et impera (from Latin) Divide and conquer ... it is the same old trick ... still working as today. Forget about X and Y (Putin or Obama) they are the same , playing the same role and receiving orders from the same crew.

I still think there is a lot of room for interpretation in that... there are competing interests, the game is more complex than that... most of the world is not happy with the US, Canada and Britain (in the background) and the last remaining dregs of the Jesuit Power Entity pushing their global military agenda... was a dead giveaway when Baird started tooting his gazoo...

Default Classic Example of MSM 'SPIN' & 'RHETORIC' on Russian President Vladimir Putin..!

Quote Preface: Wanna learn something on (HOW) the MSM "bend" a Story to suit their AGENDA..?

    Just (Read-Between-The-Lines) on this Doozy..!!!
Things you didn’t know about Russian President Vladimir Putin

Quote This story was published: 2 hours ago March 05, 2014 11:51AM

WE KNOW he loves to strut around shirtless, pose shamelessly for Kremlin PR photographs and invade former Soviet republics.

Whether he is providing former US security contractor Edward Snowden with asylum, designing deals to rid Syria of chemical weapons or invading Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin is easily one of the world’s biggest newsmakers.

Today, a tough talking Putin gave one of his characteristic swaggering performances while at the same time cooling tensions over Ukraine by saying he had no intentions “to fight the Ukrainian people”.

While lounging in a chair like a world-weary aristrocrat, he insisted Russia was seeking to de-escalate tensions. But his speech came as Russian troops fired warning shots at Ukrainian soldiers and Russia fired a nuclear capable missile.

    It was classic confounding Putin.

Quote German Chancellor Angela Merkel admits she is bewildered by the man in charge of one of the world’s largest countries. After speaking with Mr Putin, she said she was not sure he was in touch with reality. She is believed to have told US President Obama that Putin was “in another world.”

US Secretary of State John Kerry was equally confounded.
Responding to claims by Ukraine’s new authorities that thousands of Russian troops had poured into Crimea in recent days, Putin said that only “local forces of self-defence” were surrounding Ukrainian military bases in the region.

Asked if Russian forces took part in operations in Crimea, he said, “No, they did not participate”, adding: “There are lots of uniforms that look similar.’’

When told of Putin’s remarks by a reporter in Kiev, Kerry responded: “He really denied there were Russian forces in Crimea?” and shook his head, bewildered.

So who is the man behind the headlines and staged photographs? Here are some facts you may not know about the Russian strongman and his strategy for Russia.

He has a grand plan: Bring back the USSR

Lucky they brought their binoculars to this boardroom meeting. Source: NewsComAu

Putin saw out the dying days of the Soviet Union working for the KGB, the former superpower’s secret police force. He was rewarded for his loyalty with several promotions.

He may still be loyal to it. Putin’s motive for invading Ukraine is debatable but a popular suggestion is he wants to rebuild a Russian Empire similar to the Soviet Union.

“Putin’s broader plan is to recreate some kind of ‘Soviet Union lite’, a ring of countries under Moscow’s control, with the goal of boosting Russia’s geopolitical standing,” Ulrich Speck, a visiting fellow at the Carnegie Europe Institute wrote for CNN this week.

“Ukraine is the cornerstone of that project. The downfall of President Yanukovych and the triumph of the popular Maidan movement in Ukraine have signalled to Moscow, however, that it is losing its grip on Ukraine and that its grand strategy is going nowhere.”

One of Putin’s key policies has been to create a “Eurasian Customs Union” — a trade bloc between Russia and former communist states that could rival the United States, China and the European Union.

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who has never been on great terms with Putin, described it as “a move to re-Sovietise the region”.

His macho, macho man image is a carefully crafted creation

Putin’s government is almost as prolific as the North Korean regime when it comes to distributing tailored propaganda images that make him look like an Action Man.

For instance: He butterfly swims through chilly lakes ...

When Hillary Clinton said in 2008 that Putin “has no soul”, the Russian president returned fire with what was widely believed to be a misogynist penis joke.

“At a minimum, a head of state should have a head,” he told reporters.

Putin has a considerable track record of making crude remarks, particularly about his enemies. Discussing the guerillas behind a series of bombings in Moscow in 1999, he said: “If we catch (the terrorists) in the toilet, we will rub them out in the outhouse.”

Translators were left lost for words at a news conference in 2002 after he launched into a confusing tirade about Islamic terrorism with many references to circumcision.

“If you are determined to become a complete Islamic radical and are ready to undergo circumcision, then I invite you to Moscow. We are multi-confessional,” he said.

“We have experts in this sphere as well. I will recommend to conduct the operation so that nothing on you will grow again.”

And then there was the rape “joke”. On a diplomatic visit to Israel in 2002, Putin was overheard praising the sexual prowess former Israeli president Moshe Katsav after he was charged with rape and sexual harassment.

According to one version of remarks, Putin said to Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert: “Say hello to your president. He really surprised us ... I met him. He didn’t look like a guy who could be with 10 women.”

Russian media accounts suggested he was even more crude. “He turns out to be a really powerful guy. He raped 10 women. We all envy him.”

Putin’s aides tried to explain the joke as the result of difficulties from translating from Russian to English.

He has a mysterious personal life

Putin’s love life is shrouded in mystery. He and his wife, former flight attendant Lyudmila Putina, divorced after nearly 30 years in 2013.

Putina was rarely seen in public over the course of his presidency with rumours about his complicated love life spreading in the media.

One of the most widely reported rumours is that he had been involved with — and perhaps even fathered the children of — former Olympic gymnast and Russian lawmaker Alina Kabaeva.

Putin had two daughters with Lyudmila — Maria and Yekaterina — both in their late 20s.

Little is known about them. Unlike their attention-seeking father, they shy from the public eye.

Default I wish Obama believed in The United States the way Putin believes in Russia

Say what you want to about Vlad,Putin but he is a man that
knows what he wants and sets clear defined goals on how to
achieve what ever he wants! Obama is playing checkers while
    comrade Putin is playing chess...

The Obama administration sent out UN Ambassador Samantha
Powers to warn Vladimir Putin to stop the invasion of Ukrain or
face the consequences. The only problem with that is?
Samantha Powers biggest claim to fame before she was
awarded an ambassadorship last year was she owned a sex shop.
I bet Vlad was shaking in his boots.lol

Now they have sent the Easter Island Head aka Secretary of State
John Kerry to warn Putin... Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Vladimir Putin Has outmaneuvered Obama at every turn!

Kevin Rudd zips to Russia as war beckons

    March 05, 2014 5:09PM

KEVIN Rudd has always said he’s “here to help” — and now he’s flown to Russia as the threat of war continues to raise tensions with Ukraine.

Australia’s former prime minister has arrived in Moscow and is understood to be in Red Square, according to Sydney radio station 2GB.

He has plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top advisers, The West Australian reports.

It is understood that diplomats suspect he may be trying to “deal himself” into the crisis as a self-appointed special envoy.

Putin seems very good at manipulating the public sentiment.
Imagine a Russian politician in the NYT even 30 years ago -- would have been crazy!

The thing to keep in mind is that the nation is something the president is supposed to serve.
Not just use. I feel that some of the decisions the fellow has made might not have helped his people much.
But in order to keep competition alive he does have to slam the US a bit here and there. lol.
Like opposing gay marriage and stuff. You know the reason is to slap US in the face and to pander to the Religious Russian Right.

Putin realized an important thing, pander to the Right and you can be the next Hitler, no problem.

Obama does a lot of bad things too, but it seems to take longer maybe? or we don't see how blatant it is until too late?
Whereas Putin kind of mystifies and dazzles people into compliance, by making them think they are getting what they want.

If Obama could convince people that his agenda is really their agenda, he'd get somewhere.
But American politics poo-poos the military a bit too much. In Russia it's common knowledge that generals go rogue, that things can go wrong, etc.
But in the USA, we seem to think that everything is "taken care of". Well by whom I would like to know!

And Jagman I can see why you'd like the guy. Obama is cute and all but in a sleazy sort of way, kind of like McCain would have been sleazy.
There aren't any "clean", of the people candidates in the USA, because of the Lodge situation (you know what I mean).

It just isn't possible, the way it's been happening, for a common person to "make it" past the political power families and be president.

Not like the comics at all lol
Which is what raised many of us to trust the USA when it's not much better off than Russia.

Russian politics right now hinge pretty strongly on the natural gas industry, and what has me scratching my head is the 19% of the Russian national gas company that British Petroleum owns....

Is that a double hedge or what?
"We make money selling you oil, we make money not selling you oil, isn't that a gas?"

Very true in my opinion. Do you guys know what Putin gave his Gold medalist's?
He gave them over a hundred grand cash and new cars. Guess what the USA
gave their Gold medal winners? 20 thousand and 10 of it is taken for taxes.

    G'day Tesla...

Quote Putin seems very good at manipulating the public sentiment.
On the contrary Putin is simply using (Common Sense)...

The (HUGE) difference between Obama & Putin is...

Putin actually loves his own (Country & its People) whereas Obama (Despises) his...
I disagree, I think Obama is a narcissist that feels absolutely nothing for anyone. (maybe his dog)

A few points for Putin in my books:

    PUTIN

Granted, like most politicians such as the Bushes, the Clintons and Obama, Vladimir Putin might be corrupt and power hungry. But there is a big difference that makes him a fierce enemy of the NWO conspirators: contrary to his American counterparts, Putin loves his country. His dream is to change Russia into a first class industrialized country with a large middle class.

Moreover, Putin is not associated with the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg Group, the World Economic Forum or any other globalist organizations. He is not conspiring in the shadows to eliminate Russia's sovereignty and create a New World Order -- a global government controlled by oil magnates, international bankers and CEOs of transnational corporations.

Contrary to his CFR foes, Putin's goal is not to turn back history and change Russia again into the medieval, hunger-games-like society the CFR conspirators imposed on the Russian people for more than half a century and now envision for the rest of the world, including the U.S.

And that makes a big difference.

The CFR globalist conspirators hate Putin for the same reasons they hated Kennedy and Reagan, the last presidents who really loved America. It will not be so easy for them, however, to get rid of Putin the same way they got rid of Kennedy and tried to eliminate Reagan.
