Well Stardust, I'll throw in a theory (short version) I have spent some time reading about: EndGame is upon us and as all very advanced and final incarnations are preparing to exit this Galaxy Game so too is the Planetary Spirit preparing to exit this Galaxy Game. The Planetary Spirit will call in all its incarnations prior to its spiral out of here, and this is what we are witnessing the beginnings of. When all nature incarnations are drawn back within the Planetary Spirit she/him will move up into its Higher Self and move on to bigger and better things. Simultaneously all advanced and final incarnations will be exiting this game via their Higher Self as well - moving on to experiences beyond our imaginations. Game over! All other incarnations will move on via their Higher Self to another Galaxy Game to continue in their learning and experiences in another sector of the Universe.

The overall condition of the planet certainly is a close reflection of what is going on inside the totality of human minds and souls. (Think of humanity as having one mind. The condition of whatever is "out there" for that mind is a kind of mirror-image of whatever lies within.) That has been taught by all the sages, at least to their more advanced students or listeners. Everything is interrelated.

Some of us know for a fact that currently there are probably millions of sixth-dimensional beings here, incarnated as humans. Therefore, it’s impossible for the planetary consciousness not to get raised to a higher level than before, by us.

Nevertheless, most of what George Carlin says in the above video Northern Boy posted is absolutely the truth, in my understanding. We've got to find a way to clean up all the pollution before we or the planet can "ascend". First save yourself. Then - and only then - you'll affect people and events around you in a healing way, often without even noticing that you are doing that.
Above all, always refuse to cut your life in two: nonduality/duality, matter/Spirit, etc

As much as people trash the environmental movement, the whole purpose is to clean up the act of people in order to attempt to restore balance to nature and the planet as a whole.

There are people who have used it for their own gain but there are people who do not want the fame associated with trying to clean up the planet.

Perhaps they are here but their presence is not as well-known.

Hi all, thank you all for your valuable contributions and oppinions, I myself think that there will be fundamental changes in the nature of reality in this planet which seem to have started a couple of years ago. Whatever our line of though we are being called to make an effort to be more resposible with the resources we manage for the benefit of the most.

Our actions will determine the living conditions of our descendants and it does seem that Earth has reached the point of no return. Lets work together for the greater good. I am not saying to go to extremes but we can all do our bit every day to cut unnecessary consumtion, switch the lights when we don't need them, conserve a bit of water and don't buy products that are heavily packed, buy local, grow some vegetables (even tomatoes ) and generally don't replace objects if they are not broken. These are only few ideas but please share yours

    Love

I posted the following article in AV1 in response to a similar thread, but it wont hurt to post again, its a very upbeat message after all

Mellen-Thomas Benedict is an artist who survived a near-death experience
    > (NDE) in 1982. He was dead for over an hour and a half. During that time,
    > he rose up out of his body and went into the light. Curious about the
    > universe, he was taken far into the remote depths of existence, and even
    > beyond, into the energetic void of nothingness behind the Big Bang.
    > Eminent near-death experience researcher Dr. Kenneth Ring has said, "His

    > That's the best way I can describe it. The Light changed into different

    >
    > The revelations went on and on. I asked, "Does this mean that Humankind
