Default The DIY eco-island: British inventor builds floating home from 120,000 plastic bottle

A British man has created an island home in the Caribbean - with 120,000 plastic bottles.
Richard 'Rishi' Sowar used the rubbish that would otherwise have been buried in landfill make Spiral Island II in a lagoon off Mexico's Caribbean coast.
Filling fabric bags with the discarded bottles and then attaching them to pallets, the environmentalist's island has a house, beaches, two ponds and even a solar-powered waterfall.

It says in 1998, an earlier effort by the same person was destroyed by Hurricane Emily.
Was the house vacated at that time?

It looks good as an eco-friendly getaway... But as a full-time domicile, I'm curious to know if it can safely be shored up against hurricanes, and for that matter, against tsunamis.

    And .. speaking of tsunami's....
What is the prognosis for ocean living at the time of a pole shift?

I understand a tidal wave is barely noticeable at sea. Would a house boat (or ark) then be ok during a pole shift?

Does anyone ear have enough knowledge about this subject to discuss it here?

Hey web, I'm of the same thinking too. But would have to a large vessel of some sort.
