In the first image of the video with the graffiti of boy standing on the back of another boy reaching into a sign reading "Graffitti" is a Crime" gave me a thought. The imagine struck me in that if one looks at it in a certain way, ALL kinds of signs (especially advertising comes to mind) are just as much a form of graffiti as 'graffiti' is! That in their raw form, they really are the same thing but where I see the difference is when the 'graffiti' actually encourages one to take a longer look at whats going on around us instead of encouraging us to think of what is going to be the next things we go out an purchase.Posted by justntime2learn (here)
Hi O Donna,
It isn't so much a place, but a time.
I believe it was taken down soon after, so it can't be viewed other than photos, videos and Banksy's website.
Here's the story with your answer inside:
Well worth the watch if you haven't seen it
I had this vision while creating the post of somehow requiring by law (if necessary) that, say for instance, 25 percent (though higher would be better) of all forms of advertising space be allocated, rent free, for artist that encourage us to look at our world with new eyes like Banksy and many others do. I'd like to believe it would play a strong roll in a better now and beyond.
Imaging a better world....
Even if it's a pie in the sky idea I am grateful...
Grateful that I can dream.
