I became internally aware today of one of the reasons I took an interest in spiritual things so early in life. It was the death of my grandpa that really hit me. I wanted to see him again because I love him so much. I was told I would see him in heaven but I also learned he would not look the same yet I would know him when I meet him there. But that wasn’t good enough for me, I wanted to know the how, why, what about it.

What I learned now extends far beyond my grandpa yet also to the nearest and dearest that can possibly be.
To me, a sentence like “I knew I loved you before I met you” in a song by the group Savage Garden goes way beyond its romantic overtones. It's like being in heaven NOW but not recognizing the people you feared you might not recognize. Wouldn't that be hell?

Wouldn't that be a great story? To find your greatest all-time love in hell (of all places)?

(Please pardon my use of metaphors, trying to describe an experience I have had is difficult for me without using them)
