Amethyst, when I was in a similar situation I was told that love starts from loving yourself. And also, supposedly, when you heart is open and filled with love you will love unconditionally everyone, thus, it doesn't matter who crossed your way, you will love him or her unconditionally. Even the people who made you feel pain.

I know that you mean well, but does it seem like I don't love people enough? An open heart feels both joy and sadness...I loved my father so much more than he loved me...I never told him that he hurt me...all I wanted to do was make him feel good...you don't know a lot about it...(this is from another thread in case anyone is wondering, I have deleted that little bit that I put about my childhood)...please, I don't want people to bring it up again on here...(please don't quote me on this, reply if you want)...

I know that loving self is important and sometimes attracts more love to you, it's something that most of us have to grow more of...I probably have it more than some people can see...
