minor earthquakes with relatively little damage (although more damage than enough) occur everyday on earth; so why is there such little info about Yellowstone ramping-up?- as far as I'm concerned this is an absolutely huge issue that continues to be ignored by most-

    I agree,
All we can do is spread the word the best we can and keep our eyes wide open. Yellowstone is a huge indicator. it sounds like my volcano prediction might not have been so off after all it quieted down and then erupted. But that seems to be true of most of these Volcanos so not much of a prediction. The ones listed in the forum are responding similarly. I did sense a change. I expect another quake anytime. Maybe 4-5 hrs.

Quake time again and these quakes are not showing on Avalon... USGS and EMSC are apparently downgrading them.

Just an opinion, but they sure do seem to downgrade a lot of earthquakes. Things are just unsettled, one thing goes in motion and a whole lot of things are in motion. Kind of like a rollercoaster ride, a bit fun but also scary. A perspective from somebody who's not in a high earth quake zone. I expect a different perspectives from those in those zones and especially on Ground Zero of those quakes.

    From Suspicious0bservers:

"Today’s top quake was in the W.Pacific right at that underwater volcano from this morning’s news; I’m worried about a major quake or eruptive event there, if it hasn’t happened already. Also, an interplanetary shockwave has struck… likely due to one of the polar coronal holes mixing with the minor CME. Aurora watch tonight at high latitude! Earthquake condition index is B- to B, rising on the spaceweather impact as the coronal holes approach along with the planetary conjunctions."

Captain Catches Rare Goblin Shark Off Key West - article

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — A boat captain got a startling surprise when he caught a rare shark off the coast of Key West last month.

Captain Carl Moore had caught a rare goblin shark while trying to catch shrimp.

Moore later released the shark back into the ocean.

An official from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) told our news partners the Miami Herald, the catch of the 18-foot-long fish is an “important scientific discovery.”

It’s the second goblin shark, on record, ever spotted in the Gulf of Mexico, according to the paper.

The  NOAA official told the paper last one spotted was back in 2000.

Goblin sharks live in very deep water but not a lot is known about them.

Good catch, Paula. More quakes to come...

S0 last night: "Coronal holes incoming are tremendously powerful – 24-48 hrs from prime position. The planets begin lining up, geocentrically, in just 3 days, with the primary alignments in 5. Spaceweather is calming now but SEP event warnings exist at minor levels."

In recent years there seems to be very deep sea animals coming to more shallow waters. Even dead giant squids could be washed ashore. I remember reading about certain species of frogs that used to live in low altitudes were no longer found, but instead moved up to the highlands. Amid vast extinction of species there appear to be many which change habitats to higher grounds. In the oceans, higher ground means fishermen catchable shallow water.

    Via Transients.info:

April becomes a record breaking Month for large Earthquakes

    By Laron

You may have remembered a few earthquakes last month, some of them rather large. But you may not have realised that the month of April, 2014, became one of the most active months on record for the number of quakes that occurred above a magnitude of 6.4.

On average, the Earth usually only sees one or two earthquakes above 6.4 magnitude, a month. The month of April, 2014, produced 13. Five of those thirteen were above 7.8 Richters. Each of those five earthquakes above 7.8 produced tsunami warnings.

A time-lapse of earthquakes for the Month of April - PTWC

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center is quoted as saying that April was, 'easily a record for this institution'. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center is also quoted as mentioning that it was very unusual that the sheer number of other earthquakes weren't part of the cluster around the 8.2 that struck Northern Chile or the 7.6 that struck the Solomon Islands during April. There were isolated larger-than-normal quakes all over the globe such as in Nicaragua, Tonga, Mexico, New Caledonia, Canada and the South Atlantic in an unusual spot.

The PTWC did not provide an explanation as to what may have caused all this activity. Below you can watch a time-lapse video of all the quakes from the 1st of January 2014 up until the end of April 2014.

Just looking at this from an objective view, it almost appears like popcorn is in a pan getting hotter in the oil and we are now at the stages where the corn is starting to get to the point of opening up. Sure are lots of signs and I'm sure this living breathing organism called mother earth is very tired of the abuse she is having to endure.

I've been studying earthquakes for decades and we are definitely in an active Zone. In the last couple months its been off the charts. But so many people besides me have already been saying that. I am one of many. Many have our Eyes on earthquakes.

Looks like Paradip Gerh, India had a Mag 6 earthquake. Still active. may be downgraded to a 5.9 but the pressures pushing up and down towards the Middle East I see another pop there about 5.
