Default Wallace Thornhill: Reinterpreting the MAVEN Mission to Mars

    "Published on Apr 19, 2014
Wal Thornhill looked critically at the assumptions behind the recent MAVEN Mars Probe (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution Mission.) The probe, NASA says, seeks to measure the loss of volatiles from the Martian atmosphere in order to draw conclusions about the planet's remote past. He reminded us that all of the scientific objectives of the MAVEN Mission were developed under standard assumptions about a 4 billion-year old solar system. What's more, Wal showed how, under the inertia of belief systems, evidence can be distorted or ignored and contrasted this with the rapidly accumulating evidence for a highly catastrophic and recent history of Mars."

I think they want to know what happened to Mars because it could happen here.

What if Saturn lost another moon and it came our way, for example.

What caused Mars to lose mass/atmosphere/gravity/OCEANS if it was not a HYPERION object???

ktlight: Thanks for giving Wal's work some exposure and support. He is one among a number of non-mainstream scientists who deserve a lot more attention from the enlightened public. In this case, Wal being the lead scientist behind Electric Universe theories, the articles he has written and made available on his website are of prime interest and importance: www.holoscience.com

In relation to this particular video, however, here are a couple of important points he highlights before going on to describe a far more probable history for Mars, the Earth, and the Solar System:

(No.1) Astro-Archaeologists, Astro-Geologists, and Astro-Meteorologists, all take the approach of transplanting directly what "they think" they understand about Earth, and apply those assumptions to the planet or moon in question; in this case Mars. They think this is good and accurate science.

(No.2) The MAVEN spacecraft has been sent to Mars by "scientists" who believe that No.1 above really is a good scientific approach, so you can bet your bottom dollar that whatever they find with their array of amazing sensors on-board MAVEN will be seen and interpreted by them through that same filter; they are not going to come up with "amazing new discoveries that will shake their current understanding"; no, they'll shoe-horn what they find into the bad science they practice, then throw that re-jigged fairy-tale out for public consumption.

In this video Wal gives some predictions based on what MAVEN will find when it gets to Mars and conducts its experiments. If evidence is found to support what mainstream scientists expect, in line with No.1 above, then there will be a great likelihood of this mission actually turning out to work significantly against mainstream scientists and their ideas. This has happened before, and Wal has a track record with such predictions, and I refer here to what NASA said would happen as a result of the Deep Impact mission, where comet Temple1 was struck by an 800lb copper projectile; NASA got it wrong, and Wal, with his predictions, got it right. You didn't hear much about that, did you?

Another prediction that Wal got right was what the Huygens probe found when it reached the surface of Titan below its dense cloud layer. Instead of NASA's expected oceans of Methane, there was an atmosphere of Nitrogen, and a surface that was Mars/Earth-like.

Other things discussed in the video are ...

    ... Star and planet formation.

... The formation of star systems with orbiting planets with moons

... Scarring and cratering on Mars ... (Actually, cratering caused by impacts is the biggest of fairy-tales! Just ask yourself; why does practically every crater on planets and moons have a round shape? This is impossible if impacts were responsible, but not impossible if electrical discharge was the force involved, for that always occurs at 90 degrees to the horizontal; think about it.)

... Why evidence points to a young Solar System rather than a 4.6bn year old one.

Also in this video, Wal lays before his audience, fundamental, show-stopping questions about Earth's origins and makeup, questions which standard theories studiously avoid addressing. If that's the case, then how can standard gravitational theory be taken seriously?

This is a good video, but there are many more out there about the Electric Universe. See the Thunderbolts Project as one starting place.

Lastly, as another starting place, I will point out the free Electric Universe book for the non-technical which is available via a link here on Avalon: "One Beginner's View of Our Electric Universe".

I've been following TB project for about 7-8 years now and I'm pretty convinced that electric universe theory is much closer to being correct than the mainstream science has ever been. I would like to see a bit more hands on science done by EU advocates, after all they do claim that plasma science they promote is highly scalable in laboratory, so why aren't we seeing more of it?

McMaster: Successful experiments have indeed been carried out, since the early 1900's in fact, but you're right, more plasma and electrical/magnetic engineering experiments need to be done and more needs to be made of the fact that the results already obtained comply with currently proven science/engineering fact. The reason why we don't see more official support or even any acknowledgement of the need for such support, from any quarter, in the pursuit of scientific proof for the scalability of plasma morphology from atomic to galactic dimensions, is that, such proof -- which has already been pretty much established through experiments on Earth and observations of the morphologies of radio and radiation emissions from deep space [galaxies and stars in strings; helical structures in nebulae; pulsar behaviour being basically a relaxation oscillator, etc.] -- would bring down the whole house of cards that has been built to support the current standard model of our universe; and every associated career along with it. Too much has been invested by self-serving science to allow this to happen ...

... and this is the stuff they are still teaching our kids as the truth!

Meanwhile, the fight goes on ...

It's easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled.” - Mark Twain.
