~Facebook is just a TOOL to spread awareness but also lies & deceptions, just like a phone, radio & tv can do that too .... or using electricity ... ALL OF IT is some how connected to evil corrupt crime syndicates. That does not make me "complicit" or "guilty" by association. People can discern for themselves who is abusing it to control or to help empower others!

Looks like they added another bugaboo or two, and had to reboot. That's it, closing, signing out of the acct. Even if it's blank w/out my info or comments, I think they just did a "hoodwink on civilian privacy rights."

Without social networks the control freaks can probably go even faster (using centralized mainstream media = mass brainwashing tools with NO resistance what so ever) when it goes faster you would not be able to type what you just did and tell the tale in the other time-line where there is no social media networks! It is all about the speed of how to implement Orwellian style control system/grid. Including all massive idiotic laws & regulations combined with Nwo Minions happy to enforce it ... because that is their job to earn money to pay the bills!

Maybe something along this line: http://www.cray.com/Products/Computing/XK7.aspx

Up to 500,000 scalar processors per system, liquid cooling, and interestingly, it uses AMD processors! and Nvidia compute cores (GPUs)! I guess it keeps the prices down

the NSA and their shadow network can do that, no sweat.

Quote The Shadow Internet That’s 100 Times Faster Than Google Fiber
When Google chief financial officer Patrick Pichette said the tech giant might bring 10 gigabits per second internet connections to American homes, it seemed like science fiction. That’s about 1,000 times faster than today’s home connections. But for NASA, it’s downright slow.

While the rest of us send data across the public internet, the space agency uses a shadow network called ESnet, short for Energy Science Network, a set of private pipes that has demonstrated cross-country data transfers of 91 gigabits per second–the fastest of its type ever reported.
    http://www.wired.com/2014/06/esnet/

91GB/s over 30 min = 163.8 TB of data. (I would assume that's not nearly enough data for 1 billion profiles, but with out pictures it could easily be done in that amount of data...)

now, there would be no reason to do this as they already have all that data via NSA intercepts... but it is definitely possible.

Crays are supercomputers, and a supercomputer is not necessarily designed for throughput. It is more designed for number crunching - think: cryptography, artificial intelligence, weather forecasting, molecular biology, and similar. For throughput, you need a mainframe - IBM, Oracle, et al.

In addition to that, such throughput is dependent on many things, not just the processing speed of the target machine. The network's own throughput performance is important, but also the amount of available RAM on the target machine - which, granted, wouldn't be a problem for the NSA or a similar organization - as well as on the source machines, and crucially, the read speed and random access time of the hard disks (or solid state disks) on the source computer(s). The latter is most likely going to be the bottleneck in such an operation.

That said - and take this with a grain of salt - I think it's rather the CIA with whom Facebook is affiliated, and not so much the NSA. At least, that's what I've heard and read.

Like it makes a difference that it's the CIA, right? Well, actually, it does, because today, in post-Snowden era, everyone's got their eyes on the NSA, while the CIA is just as dangerous and has a legal mandate to operate (only) outside of the United States of America. So while we're all looking at the NSA, the CIA could be doing the exact same thing, but in a different format.

As much as I applaud Edward Snowden's courage, I think that he was allowed to get that information out, and for a reason. Diversion tactics, and it gives the mainstream media something to ramble on about, while lots of other stuff is going on behind the scenes which would, by virtue of its covertness, arguably be more dangerous, more incisive and more shocking than anything Snowden has so far revealed.

That is actually a very good question, Camilo. Facebook is certainly a controversial entity due to the allegations on the one hand as that they would be working together with the US American intelligence community, and on the other hand the claim that they have supposedly stood up against the NSA and the US Department of Justice on account of revealing user information - which I am personally not convinced of. The same thing is said about Microsoft, and I don't trust them either. Furthermore, there are also rumors - and I do emphasize that they are rumors - of Zuckerberg's affiliation with an extreme Zionist movement.

I was registered on Facebook for a few years, now already another few years ago - I've actually been away from Facebook for longer already than that I was a user there. My main reason for leaving was that I could not reconcile myself with their vantage that anything I posted on my profile page was their intellectual (read: imaginary) property, to do with as they please: my photos, my comments, who my friends were, my name and address, et al. And this arrogance was underscored when I left by the fact that I could not delete my account - I could only deactivate it, and all it took to reactivate it was to log in again, which I had to do a few times in order to disable a few applications which kept on spamming my mailbox.

There were other reasons as to why I left Facebook behind me, such as the very broken privacy system, the advertising and the silliness of many of those applications, but the arrogance of claiming their ownership of my personal information was the decisive factor.

Good point Aragorn, but Cray can help with that as well http://www.cray.com/Products/Storage/Sonexion.aspx

Up to 1 TB / sec I/O within a single file system. Impressive.

Or perhaps one of their Big Data solutions:

Cray have expanded their game far beyond just compute power.

You do not need push outage to download some info you can do it when it is on. Reverse logic is biggest handicap for conspiracy fun.

But you can use this info as a " Some one blocked NSA's usage of face recognition function for 30 min to create an escape window" conspiracy

Haha. Come on now. So is a forum such as this, and any other network that communication and bulletins make up the main means of attraction.
