Congratulation to the French for their daring by taking down an ex President of the Republic

Sarkozy has been placed Under police custody until court date for a possible trafic of influence when he took agreements with Kadhafi in Lybia, Kadhafi having most probably financed the election of the French President.

His lawyer is also Under custody and an other ex French President

Berlu is already looking after Alzheimer patients in lieu of jail. He comes in with candy in his pockets and goes home exhausted.

Sarkozy is only being detained for questioning so far. That's 24 hours extendable to 48 hrs, but still pretty humiliating, pending a trial. I forget the details of this particular case - he has so many. I think it is because he had been promising a judge a promotion for keeping an eye on his case. He knew his phone was being tapped and usurped the identity of a former school friend to get a new cell phone.

Apart from that, his main rightwing UMP party is close to meltdown, financial and otherwise, because of his presidential campaign budget being almost double the legal limit

Poor little Berlu'...3 hours a week pushing wheelchairs is exausting work for a man his.. uhmmm.. stature! And yet, he is still in politics, on the TV regularly... and not wearing a striped pj (yet)! GRRRR!

The deals he made with "ghedaffi" are mind boggling... even for the Italians.. like sending all of the "boat people" immigrants that would arrive here to Libya where they were "sold" into slavery there, and like selling him 4% of the biggest Italian bank stocks and much more... now who do they belong to????

Deals with kadhafi? The whole reason tptb sent their pit bull al Qaeda to kill him was because he was a threat to the petro dollar and centralized banking with his gold for oil and interest free economy.

Unless this was a grassroots move from the people, to me this seems like a cover up of some sort and Sarkozy is just a casualty, or he is being silenced in jail for either not playing along or pissing on the living room carpet.

Your point is worth making - but I want to say that that (threat to the dollar) was certainly not the whole reason NATO bombed Libya, nowhere near it. The west had been gunning for Gaddafi almost since day one of socialist Libya. I'm just pointing this out because the US dollar seems to take center stage in debates within the alternative community and often to the exclusion of other important factors.
