And, Omniverse, is this game about (seemingly) opposing concepts or can they be similar and complimentary, or both, or anything... Where any of the rules communicated to you? And did they have winners in the end or is it just a leisurly mind exercise?

They can be really anything. They can relate to each other or not. And they do have winners at the end if they are competing. As for rules it's hard to remember them because they were spoken to me at differing times but here are some:

no: of/and/the
It can be specified if the game is 3 words or 2 words(2 is most popular).
Acronyms can be used as one word/concept
