No wonder TPTB in the mil ind complex wanted him dead......40 years ago
it was Vietnam , during the cold war. Today its the Middle East continuing,

I did not appreciate his philosphy when he was alive as I was to young , full of
hormones and finding my way thru the rat race of work and play in 70's and 80's
    Britain.

BED PEACE starring John Lennon & Yoko Ono

    Published on 22 Jun 2012

↓ Read the MESSAGE FROM YOKO ONO ↓

    Dear Friends,

In 1969, John and I were so naïve to think that doing the Bed-In would help change
    the world.Well, it might have.
But at the time, we didn't know.

It was good that we filmed it, though.
    The film is powerful now.
What we said then could have been said now.

In fact, there are things that we said then in the film, which may give some
encouragement and inspiration to the activists of today. Good luck to us all.

Let's remember WAR IS OVER If We Want It.
It's up to us, and nobody else.
John would have wanted to say that.

    Love, yoko

    ABOUT BED PEACE

1969 was the year that John & Yoko intensified their long running campaign for
World Peace. They approached the task with the same entrepreneurial expertise as
an advertising agency selling a brand of soap powder to the masses. John & Yoko's
product however was PEACE, not soft soap, and they were determined to use any
slogan, event and gimmick in order to persuade the World to buy it.

BED PEACE (directed by Yoko & John and filmed by Nic Knowland) is a document of
the Montreal events from 26-31 March 2013, and features John & Yoko in
conversation with, amongst others, The World Press, satirist Al Capp, activist Dick
Gregory, comedian Tommy Smothers, protesters at Berkeley's People's Park, Rabbi
Abraham L. Feinberg, quiltmaker Christine Kemp, psychologists Timothy Leary &
Rosemary Leary, CFOX DJs Charles P. Rodney Chandler & Roger Scott, producer
André Perry, journalist Ritchie York, DJ & Promoter Murray The K, filmmaker Jonas
Mekas, publicist Derek Taylor & personal assistant Anthony Fawcett.

Featured songs are Plastic Ono Band's GIVE PEACE A CHANCE & INSTANT KARMA,
Yoko's REMEMBER LOVE & WHO HAS SEEN THE WIND & John's acoustic version of
    BECAUSE.

John Lennon & Yoko Ono: WAR IS OVER! (If You Want It)

I miss you, John. 27 years later, I still wish I could turn back the clock to the
Summer of 1980. I remember everything - sharing our morning coffee, walking in
the park together on a beautiful day, and seeing your hand stretched to mine -
holding it, reassuring me that I shouldn't worry about anything because our life was
    good.

I had no idea that life was about to teach me the toughest lesson of all. I learned
the intense pain of losing a loved one suddenly, without warning, and without
having the time for a final hug and the chance to say, "I love you," for the last
time. The pain and shock of that sudden loss is with me every moment of every
day. When I touched John's side of our bed on the night of December 8th, 1980, I
realized that it was still warm. That moment has haunted me for the past 27 years
    - and will stay with me forever.

Even harder for me is watching what was taken away from our beautiful boy, Sean.
He lives in silent anger over not having his Dad, whom he loved so much, around to
share his life with. I know we are not alone. Our pain is one shared by many other
families who are suffering as the victims of senseless violence. This pain has to stop.

Let's not waste the lives of those we have lost. Let's, together, make the world a
place of love and joy and not a place of fear and anger. This day of John's passing
has become more and more important for so many people around the world as the
day to remember his message of Peace and Love and to do what each of us can to
work on healing this planet we cherish.

Let's: Think Peace, Act Peace, and Spread Peace. John worked for it all his life.
He said, "there's no problem, only solutions." Remember, we are all together.
We can do it, we must. I love you!

I remember when I was 13 years old I asked my Jehovah Witness adopted father to buy me the album "Imagine". I don't think I had ever asked him to buy me anything before. Of course, he said no. But I never did stop imagining. I cried and was depressed for days when John Lennon was shot. So many of his songs made a lasting impression on me. Working Class Hero is also one of my favorites. Thanks for this thread.

I was eight years old in 1969 and I
can remember the headlines in the
news paper and on the News, as we
only had one black and white TV in
the living room and we all watched
it, but I did not really understand it....

I knew he was a peace icon of the
late 60's early 70's and I liked his
songs, but I'm glad I watched these
vids to understand him better and
he would certainly fitted in to a
    Forum like Avalon imo......

    Although he would be depressed
with all the Wars that have gone
on since Vietnam , though not
    surprised I don't think....

It makes more sense to me now why he was assassinated,
after being part of the group opposed to the Vietnam war along
with many others like Bob Dylan etc....John was probably the
most high profile and with his song 'Give Peace a chance'
helped seal the fate of Nixon and the warmongers....

By the 1980's new wars were planned and the mil ind complex
did not want a figure head like John leading new anti war protests
where ever they may pop up South America, Grenada possibly
middle east , so it looks very plausible he was 'got rid of ' like
many other heroes before him and after.....

'IMAGINE' .....John and Yoko leading the anti Iraq invasion protests
    for example.....

Estimates of 2 million demonstrators marches against invading Iraq,
and still Blair ignored it and with the help of the' dodgy dossier'.
'Bloody Blair' took us shoulder to shoulder with Bush on that money
making venture of the corporate elites. Later 7/7 was used as a
    'false flag' to justify events.

If John was at the head of those marches who knows what might
    have happened.

2007 protest to get out of Iraq....

Protesting wont change anything. We are not dealing with a democratic force, we are dealing with an alien force that is trying to take over this planet. Our protests mean nothing to them, they know that we dont want what they are doing, but they are following a strategy to kill us and making it look like we destroyed ourselves.

We need to stop following their orders, shut down the system, and build an decentralised system with direct democracy, no more centralised power institutions that can be occupied but a holistic system.

anything less will only slow them down a little at best but not change their goal.

Ah well, guess this comment will only make a few ppl laugh at best...
Examine all things and retain the good.

Once they gained mind control taking out targets became much easier I think John Lennon was a case of such if I had to guess.
