    Default A lively active region

With a large active region currently in the northern hemisphere of the Sun, there has been a flurry of small solar flares over the past day. This larger active region may actually be comprised of four different active regions that are very close to each other forming one large, interconnected active region with multiple magnetic poles. This magnetically complex region has lead to 12 B-class and 1 C-class solar flare over the last 24 hours. Make sure to check out the daily and past 48-hour movies to see this rapidly evolving active region!

Why is there a block in the upper left hand corner?what are they covering up.
They have a nice winged object in there to.
And another object in the lower left hand side.

Thanks Richard for sharing, a few intriguing questions though.

In the Lasco C3, anyone know what is the thing under the man made item to the upper left hand corner (11hr position)? And anyone know what are the two stars, one at 7hr, lower left corner, the other, above to the left center (9hr) ?

    Many thanks to share.

    All my blessings.

A few of this were talking about this. First, no idea about the box. Second, the one at 9 o'clock is Mercury, the one at 7 o'clock seems to be Venus.

    Right on Beth!

The Box? Forget about it. It's not there.
    Or is it?
Maybe they do that sort of thing all the time just to give the Conspiracy Theorists something to chew on.
    Or do they?
