Default Muhammad Rafeeq - Perspectives of Moral Political Economy

I've just finished listening to a recent (July 2014) and particularly engaging conversation between Daryl Bradford Smith (Iamthewitness.com) and international banking consultant, Muhammad Rafeeq on the subject of global finance, the 2008 crash etc...

I basically know squat about this subject but I couldn't help but be impressed by the level of dialogue between the two men. Here's the conversation. Perspectives courtesy of financially savvy Avalonians would be greatly appreciated.

For a somewhat shorter introduction (the above conversation is just over 90 minutes) of Muhammad and his economic philosophy, here's some Youtube footage from 2010 where he talks about alternatives to the current global financial system:

the greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated --- Gandhi
