Quote Just to be clear: when I talk about Lady Gaia I am not talking about the planet but the spirit or spirits that haunt it.
Oh, okay, that's new to me.....for me Lady Gaia is the planet, the whole body, her spirit, her consciousness included.
When Lady Gaia needs to choose for herself, she will merely shrug us off, like evil spirits, which we certainly are to her.

Quote You'd better call it an embrace, Agape Where would you be without it? Hmmmm?
Quote Somewhere else in Universe Tint. No tricks or treats from last year are going to change that
Thanks, Agape, very good...ha ha...Starry Tint.

What about...coming together...meeting of Spirits, who are they than you and I, they do have unique expression and outlook at things,
they cross this world from past to future ..

Why at certain times, well, it goes again with natural cycles of the nature here, else we'd never stop working ..

meet in the circle and lay down your bows and arrows ..

Respect the Source of Creation in you and me,

to know the truth you have to remain serious ,

Believe me Agape, i am very serious, just because my words do not explicitly explain what I mean , does not mean I refraine from loving those here and now as well as those past long ago or recently. We all have our own way to deal with our feelings and to be in touch with those beyond.
Yours is non better then mine.

    Blessings my friend

Hey dear Beren, thanks for your thoughts, I think I understand what you mean I am not concerned though.
Quote We should take responsibility of what we think and act so we can grow up as humans. But if we stray here and there and state : "Oh it`s just fun..." are we then responsible or ...?
For me it's not JUST fun, Beren, it IS fun, together with the huge responsibility to know my intentions and where I direct my attention. I am learning, by the way.

Life and being alive is meant to be enjoyed, so why not celebrate All Souls day, the remembrance of dear ones that passed away? Samhain originally was a time of inner journey, envisioning intentions for the new year, for evolvement of one's spirit and community life. Did you read Cal's article, where she points out the meaning of dressing up, Beren?

Nowadays lots of scared people love to identify themselves with weird, twisted, scary stuff, "encouraged" by the media....... Of course, as long as we are scared the **** out of us, we don't consider taking our responsibilities and step into our power...which scares the **** out of most people too, by the way

Quote For example recently we had threads about spirits and their attacks on people or at least tough experiences with them... And now people freely in the excuse of fun are running into the hands of the very spirits that attacked them or harassed them...just because it`s FUN!
Yes, isn't it contradictory? That's what being human is, no? I certainly know about being attacked and these experiences are treasure boxes for me. That what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger. I think enjoying the spooky stuff, commercialised and all, is only a mask, a show of how it is to be alive now, with lots of twisted truths, Beren. Can you remember listening to exciting stories, as a kid, enjoying the suspense and grizzly elements in it? Loving and hating it at the same time?

Isn't this time of year, in the energy of Scorpio, a great way to learn to know the untamed beast inside of us? The best remedy to befriend this beast is by laughing with it, laugh at yourself and share a joke or two.
The beast is desperate to learn making jokes and lighten up! The bloody animal inside feeds on what you offer it: fear or love....that's what I believe strongly.

Quote And I guess you know my stance here, that I am against religions and their things since all are copy cats from ancient times. They just switch names and robes but their spirit is which betrays them.
Halloween is no way different despite in what cloak it`s robed today.
Thanks for pointing out so clearly, Beren Copy Cats...HA! Nice! Wow, I agree with you. The difference for me, regarding Halloween, is the creativity we can use to shape our own form of celebration, worship, paying of respect, to life and loved ones, which isn't allowed in most religious institutes.

Thank you all for throwing in your thoughts and goodies...much appreciated! There's someone here who learned about Samhain for the first time in her life, the meaning of it in her family history. I found her message this morning, drinking my first coffee. What a great start of All Souls Day

She burns a candle on Halloween day, the 31st of October, for a very lovely special reason....so endearing to share this little ritual, as I've done that too...for a very special beloved someone. Love really brings small miracles in my life and I am so grateful for that Spritely Tint.

Hey all, Halloween may not be on a Sunday this year, but I'm bringing this thread back because this is the first year I am celebrating Samhain! Has anyone else out there celebrated? Here's a short definition I found:

Quote Samhain celebrates the “Feast of the Dead” a farewell celebration to the God, who as “Lord of the Harvest” and then “King of the Hunt” sacrificed himself at the time when the earths bounty was depleted and his animals were being slaughtered to provide sustenance throughout the coming winter months. The Goddess begins her descent into the underworld in search of the God.
