Default Symbolic victory....UK ....MPs vote overwhelmingly in favour of recognising Palestinian state

This won't change anything in the 'status Quo' of middle East politics , that needs
a change of policy in the US and Israel itself , but a symbolic victory if nothing else
for the beleaguered Palestinian community. The UK establishment is still fully behind
Israel and that won't change any time soon I don't think. I'm not anti Israel just
worried where the right wing Zionists in charge have taken them , and the gradual
expelling of more Palestinians from their homes and land. The Israeli lobby were not
    pleased with the vote.

MPs vote overwhelmingly in favour of recognising Palestinian state

    Tuesday 14th October 2014 at 11:34 By david-icke

‘MPs have voted overwhelmingly in favour of recognising Palestine as an
independent state after a four hour debate in the Commons.

Ed Miliband, the labour leader, avoided an embarrassing rebellion from his
backbenchers after party grandees intervened at the last minute to change the
    proposals.

A total of 274 MPs voted in favour and just 12 against the motion calling on the
government to “recognise the state of Palestine alongside the state of Israel”.’

‘UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has expressed his frustration at Israel’s
settlement program, which plans 600 new homes in East Jerusalem. The new units
are set to expand four existing settlements in the Palestinian city.

“I once again strongly condemn the continued settlement activity by Israel,” the UN
chief told journalists after a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah in Ramallah.

The Israeli government also plans to seize one square kilometer of farmland near
Bethlehem, “intended for the construction of settlement units, parks, a synagogue
and agricultural roads,” according to a report by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.’

Israeli minister: World may be wasting its money on Gaza (because we plan to blow the **** out of them again)

    Tuesday 14th October 2014 at 08:58 By david-icke

‘Vast sums to rebuild the Gaza Strip in Cairo Sunday will have made worthless
donations if the people of the Gaza Strip return to terror, Transportation Minister
    Israel Katz said Sunday.

Katz, who is one of the ministers closest to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu,
issued the warning at a gathering of some 2000 Likud activists outside his Sukka
on his ranch on the Moshav Kfar Ahim in the northern Negev.

“The Gazans must decide what they want to be Singapore or Darfur [which rhymes
in Hebrew],” Katz said. “They can pick between economic recovery and war and
destruction. If they choose terror, the world should not waste its money. If one
missile will be fired, everything will go down the drain.”‘

Rumors Swirling About Israel’s Shocking ‘Endgame’ Plan for Palestinians in Gaza

    Sunday 12th October 2014 at 08:48 By david-icke

‘What is Israel’s endgame in Gaza? It is a question that has been puzzling analysts
and observers for some time. But indications of the future Israel and Washington
may have in mind for Gaza are emerging.

Desperately overcrowded, short on basic resources like fresh water, blockaded for
eight years by Israel, with its infrastructure intermittently destroyed by Israeli
bombing campaigns, Gaza looks like a giant pressure cooker waiting to explode.

It is difficult to imagine that sooner or later Israel will not face a massive upheaval
on its doorstep. So how does Israel propose to avert a scenario in which it must
either savagely repress a mass uprising by Palestinians in Gaza or sit by and watch
them tear down their prison walls?’

Ban Ki-Moon visited Gaza today as efforts to rebuild the city began, describing the devastation as
'beyond description', and was also shown Hamas tunnels used to attack Israeli troops

The conflict this summer killed an estimated 2,100 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and another 72
Israelis after tensions in the volatile Middle Eastern region spilled over.

‘The head of the UN has described the destruction of Gaza as ‘beyond description’ as he visited
the city today following the war between Israel and Palestine this summer.

Ban Ki-Moon was shown entire neighbourhoods of Gaza which were flattened during bombing by
Israel, just as efforts at rebuilding the city got underway.

Ban was also shown Hamas tunnels used to attack Israeli soldiers, calling them ‘shocking’, and
adding that Israeli citizens should not have to live under the threat of missile strikes.’

Israel losing support in UK because of settlement building and Gaza offensive, ambassador warns

    Wednesday 15th October 2014 at 09:04 By david-icke

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

‘Britain’s ambassador to Israel has warned that the Jewish state is losing support in the UK, blaming the
summer offensive in Gaza and increased settlement construction in the Occupied West Bank. His remarks
came as a former Conservative minister described the situation in one Palestinian city as “apartheid”.

The ambassador, Matthew Gould, issued the warning hours after MPs backed a motion to recognise the
state of Palestine, albeit in a non-binding vote. Speaking to Israel Radio, the ambassador said the vote
in the Commons showed that public sentiment was moving away from Israel.’

Forbidden Liberty: British MP’s Vote ‘Yes’ to Palestine, Israel Now Fears Public Opinion

    Wednesday 15th October 2014 at 09:03 By david-icke

‘There was never any ‘roadmap to peace’ as ringleaders in Washington would have you believe. That’s
why nothing has happened in 30 years since “peace negotiations” started. Israel made sure it went no
where by insisting that Palestinian statehood, or any other form of liberation from occupation or apartheid
would come about only as from negotiations with the Israel. Meanwhile, Israel stayed busy building its
Berlin walls and increasing its manifest destiny condo communities to gerrymander its own conveniently
    undeclared borders.

The formula is simple: Israel gets bigger, while Palestine gets smaller. While they’re add it, they might as
well demolish some 30,000 Palestinian homes and kill a few thousand women and children. Not too difficult
to see when you take off those cheap AIPAC-issued 3-D glasses.’
