Maybe going to see this one. All the recent movies have been mostly garbage (Interstellar in my mind too), although the last film from The Wachowki's before this one was "fresh" when talking about Hollywood-movies, then again they did had to improvise to get the funding elsewhere for the movie. The one bad thing about that movie that comes to mind was the occasional hilarious make up of the actors.

Just saw the movie. I though the action scenes were a bit too much but the story was interesting.
Its amazing how many bits of all types of conspiracies are in this movie. The royals, reptilians, little grays, angels, hybrid beings...etc.

TERRIBLE MOVIE ~~~DO NOT SPEND MONEY TO WATCH THIS~~~ (imo, of course...)

I had hopes for this movie, and I like the wachowski work, but this movie was just not very good, the concepts were interesting but the terrible acting by some and TERRIBLE action scenes distracted from it greatly (perhaps on purpose?).

However, ignore ALL OF THIS if you are a fan of figure skating,, if you're one of those this will be YOUR MOVIE!

I've personally never seen a large scale figure skating movie, this is a large scale science fiction figure skating movie!

The only really good scifi movie I have seen in years is Interstellar. I have been waiting to buy it so I can see it multiple times to really see how deep down it goes.

LOL. I read Target's post on my phone just as we were queuing for the movie and I have to agree with him. Pretty disappointing. Yeah there's lots of topics we discuss here in the movie but it's all a bit too much.

I mean they really loaded up the scatter gun with everything bar the kitchen sink -

    Astrology
    Earth is a farm
    Elixir of life
    The harvest
    Humans didn't originate on Earth
    Crop Cirlces
    Greys
    Reptilians
    Cloning
    Animal Hybrids
    Supersoldiers
    Implanted technology
    Ascension
Dystopian bureaucracy (did anyone spot the cameo?)
    (theres probably more I missed!)

I don't think it took itself too seriously but I couldn't help thinking it was all a bit Flash Gordon.

It was a fun night all the same and we had a chuckle about it being a "sci-fi figure skating movie" in the pub afterwards.

The soliloquy by Balem Abrasax at the end, where he stated that life is a consumptive process and then proceeded to expound upon that topic, to me, was the deepest thing in the entire film.

I watched it last night. I thought it was pretty damn fun! Yeah, the actions scenes are particularly intense and flashy, but that's okay. I looked at this movie as if it were dedicated to all the forums I visit, a tribute to the weirdos, but with a Hollywood spin/Love story so it would have a shot at making money. I thoroughly enjoy the Wachowskis.

Well, with all of that added in, I'll forgive them if it is not an 'intriguing' film.

Esoterica is exactly that, esoterica. Limited interest for a further limited audience. Sooner or later, we all move to being a specialist of one on a topic of one.

Even if we all need to know, in some way, some aspects of what is presented... the problem is always getting it (the data) into the population so it can seed itself and move forward from there. (never-mind who is seeding the what, for what direction of outcome)

In the end, the topics are so hard, it's like trying to get over the death of a loved one who's been around us for our entire lives (or similar weighting of a cranium and emotion challenging change). This, on multiple fronts. Ie reformation of self. Total. Even then, it is only one door approached in one way, among many.

If they have managed to inject complex esoteric topics into a larger more mainstream audience, I'd forgive a lot, for that alone.

We have heard the term "harvest" before, of course, with Ra and the Law of One.

I hope you are not suggesting there is any truth regarding the extension of life to others from the "harvest" of humanity???

Yes ... multidimensionals feed on our energy ... but that was the first I had heard of that idea.

My oldest son asked me about it (the only other one in the family interested in the "truth") and I told him I thought it was nonsense ...

This is a good point. it really bothers me when Truth-seekers knock certain films because of the graphics. It is the story-line that matters, and we should be studying them for their allegorical value. When one knows what to look for, the themes are hidden in symbols that were designed by the directors/producers/writers to reach the subconscious of the people who watch the film.

Think about it. The average person on this planet has a very short attention span and does not respond well to information that openly challenged their belief systems. If the Wachowskis made the film centered more on the theoretical information instead of intense battle scenes with CGI graphics, the average person would zone out and not pay attention, or their emotions would get out of control and shut down any capacity to objectively think with a rational and logical mindset.

Unfortunately, these intense fighting scenes and love scenes are necessary for the typical brainwashed individual to at the very least sit down and watch the film. The Wachowskis, just like all other aware film makers, understand this. This is why they have learned to encode their messages in symbols that reach the subconscious of people that gets the wheels turning in their heads, so they start to think that the idea was their own.

Most people do not like to feel challenged and cornered like an animal, and usually accept things if they feel that they came up with the idea. By implanting a message in the subconscious, this is one way to do this. Inception, anyone? Think about it and grow up if you are going to dismiss this film because of the graphics.
"Rather than love, than fame, than money, give me truth."

Carmody and Robin are right. If this film gets anyone to start investigating the esotric then it has value regardless of whether I enjoyed it or not. As a tool for introducing these ideas into the mainstream then it works well.

I watched it last Friday and although they have thrown in as many alternate
concepts and speculation from the Annunaki to crop circles , the movie was
'Rubbish' ...LOL I think I read its the first of 4 movies good luck with that.
Most hyped films are a disappointment and it might be better second time
round as the version I saw was Spanish with no subtitles from U'tube and I
had to get it in cinque with a bad English soundtrack from a poor picture
    version , so I maybe being harsh..LOL

The best bit is Sean Bean did not die 'Hurray' although it was a dismal performance
from the king of the Yorkshire accent a bit like John Wayne , Arnie and Jason
Statham , one dimensional action heroes. This probably suggests he will have a
heroic demise in one of the sequels if they are made.

I saw the movie last week it was filled with lots of action, great special affects and wonderful in 3D. The concept of Balem harvesting earth reminds me of RA and law of one, where in RA speaks of the harvest to come also known as ascension. I find the RA material should be taken with a grain of salt. I do not put much credance in it at all. But the movie is a good thriller with lots of action.

I had the pleasure of a sitter and we finally got to enjoy a night out, so of course we went to see this film, 3D IMAX no less. (something we haven't done in a long time)

Knowing it had horrible reviews, my hopes of leaving the theatre in an upbeat mood and not regretting the money spent were not very high. To my own bemusement, I thought it was one of the better sic fi films put out recently. It seems many of the conspiracy

theories that have frequented the net for several years were "harvested" into this film. I can imagine there will be no shortage of eager minds willing to dissect it. While there can be some criticism of some of the acting and how the plot unfolds, I really did enjoy it, for

    whatever that is worth.
