Default "Bitter Lake" - Adam Curtis's brilliant new documentary about Afghanistan and interventionalist politics

"Increasingly, we live in a world where nothing makes any sense. Events come and go like waves of a fever, leaving us confused and uncertain. Those in power tell stories to help us make sense of the complexity of reality, but those stories are increasingly unconvincing and hollow.”

Thus begins the 2+ hour documentary, which focuses on Afghanistan, a once beautiful stable nation that has been caught in the cross fire between The U.S.A., the U.S.S.R., Saudi Arabia and England.

No mention of the Illuminati, or the Cabal, or the deepest levels of politics, or any need to, although there is a lot of forgotten history that proves to be history altering, such as Roosevelt's meeting with Saudi King Abdulaziz at Bitter Lake, in the Suez Canal, in 1945. Also, it does touch on how corrupt banking cartels have screwed with our politics. Frankly there is no need to look that deep, here. One can see how interventionist politics, even practiced with good intentions, can lead things to go horribly and violently wrong.

This is so heartbreaking to watch. Sitting here crying, watching soldiers and children being afraid of them. A nation being degraded.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. Desiderata - Max Ehrman

Definitely the best video I have seen about the history of the creation of Al Queda and of Afghanistan, starting with the agreement of Eisenhower with the Sheik of Saoudi Arabia and its most backward Muslim sect, the Wahali.

A MUST SEE, MOSTLY FOR AMERICAN WHO DO NOT KNOW ANY OF THIS

It also describes how the bank got free from having to respond to any countries through the oïl money and how the bank started to create debt in the British Isle, then got deals with Saoudi Arabia, etc. And arms agreements with Saoudi Arabia, etc.
