Supreme Court allows doctor assisted suicide in specific cases. 1993 Rodriguez decision ruled against giving terminally ill the right to die with dignity.


People with grievous and irremediable medical conditions should have the right to ask a doctor to help them die, Canada's highest court says in a unanimous ruling.

Great, now Canadian Doctors can freely get away with killing old people.
There are psychopathic doctors just as there are psychopaths in any
other profession. Are there any checks and balances to ensure that
doctors don't arbitrarily decide to free up some beds ?

My inner self tells me that it is a great privilege to be here now. Most of our hardships were agreed to before we came here. When we seek an early out, we deprive ourselves of the growth that comes with pain and suffering.

Yet we have free will and should be able to cancel our contracts when the pain exceeds our ability to cope.

There's no stigma for leaving early. We have all eternity and can try again later.
