Independence, dependence, and interdependence

Most often, independence is seen as strong and dependence is seen as weak, but they are both strong and weak in their own ways...and we need a balance (what ever is right for us as individuals and with our partners and at the time - compatibility being so important.)...I don't just feel "thank goodness for independence", I also feel "thank goodness for dependence and interdependence"...all part of being human.

We have been conditioned using the belief that we need to do actions that will separate us from the crowd. This concept has been reinforced by Darwin's survival of the fittest theorem. Hence, we've built a personality that's aggressive enough to make us attain things in a materialistic society. For example, Better behaviour, aggressiveness, and determination to succeed and do better than others have been things we worked on. The problem lies here. It was always about our ego and the desire to do better than others. Hence, the individuality of a person was emphasised by everyone. We need to be better than x, y or z.

Nature operates in a collaborative nature as evidenced by the entanglement theory of Quantum Physics. Proper collaboration can only happen if we view ourselves as particles with consciousness. Having identities which are connected to cultures, personalities, habits, moods or desires bring us further from the truth that we are all the same. Individuality has no future.
