Default Applause at solar plane's first-leg landing in Oman // looks a bit like Phoenix lights

Obviously these events have nothing to do with each other , it just reminded me
of the object flying over Pheonix in 1997. This is an interesting story in itself as
solar plane attempts to fly around the world .

A record-breaking attempt to fly around the world in a solar-powered plane has completed its first leg.

The aircraft - called Solar Impulse-2 - took off from Abu Dhabi, heading east to Muscat in Oman.

With pilot Andre Borschbeg at the controls, the aircraft touched down in Oman at 16:14 GMT after a 12-hour flight.

This is a good documentary explaining the events around the Phoenix lights UFO
experience. Many witness's and experts give their testimonies about what they
witnessed and how it has effected them. It ends up a spiritual happening for some ,
    discussed towards the end.

Solar Impulse: Oman to India journey sets new record
    By Jonathan Amos
    BBC Science Correspondent

Tuesday's flight set a new world record for a solar-powered plane

Solar Impulse, the fuel-free aeroplane, has successfully completed
the second leg of its historic attempt to fly around the world.
Project chairman, Bertrand Piccard, piloted the vehicle from
Muscat in Oman to Ahmedabad in India, crossing the Arabian
    Sea in the process.

Tuesday's journey took just over 15 hours.

The distance covered - 1,468km - set a new world record for
a flight in a piloted solar-powered plane. The vehicle has another
10 legs ahead of it over the course of the next five months.

Included in that itinerary will be demanding stretches when the
craft has to fly over the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
