    Wild Orchid,

    That was a quick reply...
I really like the horse and water painting.... It is so real looking.

I do have other paintings and drawings but have a hard time doing the process of uploading.

Do you know a way to put the images on this forum that is not too hard to explain.
If so please let me know and I'll put a few paintings or drawings on here.

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you. Yes there is an easy way.
You could sign up with one of the online image hosting sites. Search for them online, many of there are free. Dropbox is a good one. https://www.dropbox.com/. You can upload all your images there. Then when you post on PA you can simply link (Insert URL) to the image and it will show in your post. I hope this helps.

I hope you will excuse me for being wary but how safe is it to put your work on a URL like that?

Sure that's true, nothing is "safe" on the internet. Once something is out on the internet it can potentially be ripped off, and that includes having them posted here on this forum. At the same time you cant assume everyone that offers something on the internet is bad or criminal. You have to make a call if you want to share your work for others to see, or if you want to keep it 100% safe. In that case don't post anything. If you decide to post make sure your images are watermarked or have a copyright note on them. Dropbox is password protected I have used it for years.

East Sun, your painting is wonderful I can fall right into it. I share a work I started last night. The acrylic is not yet dry - when thoroughly dry the colours will become clearer. Tomorrow I take off the green masking tape around it and see what further to do with this.

Ah, maybe asking how I did the piece was not asking for a literal step-by-step.
Perhaps it was along the line of, "How are you today?" In any event, I have figured out what to do with this piece next and am rather excited to work on it tomorrow. Think it might be "smashingly good".

I took a piece of wood, painted it with black gesso, put masking tape around it, set it on some bottles to raise it up off the table in case of leakage, poured acrylic self-levelling gel onto the board out to the tape, took bottles of "interference" acrylic paints (they reflect different frequencies of light because of the coating thickness on the tiny mica particles in them), then took a toothpick and moved it through the wet mass. You don't see the interference colours in the beginning, and they show up best on a dark background. More colours may be revealed as the acrylic dries further.

This was an idea I had. Now I have to figure out what to do with this piece. I'd like to know if East Sun used acrylics or oil paints. I am quite taken by his image. I meant it when I said I could just fall "into" his scene. Well done.

    WHIM OF A WOMAN
    By Gtwin

The wisp of her words leave him lolling in white.
The words of her whim leave him dazed in the night.
The smell of her neck leaves him thinking in daze.
The world of her flight leaves a lingering haze.

He waits for her echo to pass through a call,
& when the call comes his whole world’s made to stall.
A woman of magic from hair to her hips,
the sweet sound of loving drips off of her lips.

A red hue of wisdom surrounding her mouth
while the pitch of her feet is a song from the south.

Suffusing her feminine whimpers to him,
he picks them right up with the strength of each limb.
Surrendering each of his needs to her vagary,
each in her hand so with her he is never free….

    Hi Meggings,

I used acrylics on canvas, nothing else. I almost missed your question.

You are naturally creative. You inspired me to get out of a dry spell. Thank you!!!!!!!

East Sun, are you drawn to Beethoven? What caused you to choose him to draw?

I'm thinking of people from those years long ago, for as I stepped out of a theatre tonight I passed a group of men talking on the sidewalk. One was speaking quotes from THOMAS PAINE and I stopped in my tracks. It's not the sort of thing one hears on the street:

"The World is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion."

He was villified for his "Age of Reason", in which he challenges institutional religion. When he died in 1809 in the USA, no one came to his funeral but the widow of his good friend from France. Paine had supported her and her children after the death of her husband.

Sorry, Beethoven got me meandering into those times and places.
