    Default Poems for the Spirit

    Walk from Your World

Walk from your world not from others.
Walk your own pace, keep your own stride.
Fear not if others will approve.
Wear the security of your universe with confidence.

The power you create is the loyalty to yourself.
Fear not your doing of deeds.
Depowering comes when you can't trust your own game.
    Trust yourself, others will too.

    What is the real universe?
Yours, everyone else's or the hard dirt with rocks jutting,
Do you slow or not communicate because you may get hurt?
Is the power of the ten thousand foot cliff more powerful than the idea of it?
    Think about it.

When you go in a room are you afraid to reach to everyone there?
Why? If you can reach to everyone there than that is what you are doing.
The illusion of everyone accepting you is Yours. Or not.
When you walk the hard ground who is perceiving that space and time?

Feel the power of your own space and universe.
If you don't who else will?
Life is looking, life is deciding, life is creating.
    Do it.

To go into agreement is the trap one is trying to get out of.
Agree with yourself and your dreams.
If your viewpoint of self is less than it should be,
so goes life for hardly any fee.

Walk your own walk and talk your own talk.
You think others won't approve, only if that's your thought.
Life is interesting when you make it so.
If you wish to be a leaf make sure you tell the wind to blow.
Walk from your world all the power you need is right there.
God would want you to do it that way.
    So do not balk

    Hello my fellow Avelonians!
Today is such a beautiful day that I had to share a poem FROM my spirit FOR the spirit
Such a beautiful day as the day we are having here in Sydney deserves to be honoured with an ode to my twin, as he makes me feel more content and complete than any beautiful-weathered day could:

And just like that, at 12 a brand new day came.

Another day to spend with him, my twin-soul flame.

I look into his eyes and see myself every day.
Not trying to sound vain but I just can’t look away.
Every time I’m blessed enough to look upon his face,
Everything just melts away; the time, the date, the place.

My whole life I was looking up to see a shooting star,
Now every morning I look over, star! There you are.
A smile just so damn vibrant all my cells jump for joy,
Every time I spot his grin I see him as a boy.

I lament all the time we spent apart before we met,
But somehow I know when life’s done our love won’t be done yet.
Now that we have found each other nothing could compare,
To the light he’s brought to me, to heaven he’s my stair.

The world just needs to feel the love between us when we swoon,
I wish that I could send some of it high up to the moon.
So god can use the light of night and send some of it down,
And all of earth could feel this love and all the hate’d drown.

Nothing evil can exist with loyalty so strong,
He’s my private melody, the beat to every song.
He is every blessing, every lesson I have learnt.
He is the re-builder to each bridge that I have burnt.

I want to see him in my sons, the world needs more of him.
And if my daughters had his heart, never would they feel grim.
Even if they felt so dark their souls would all still shine,
For still they’d carry round that deep love that is his and mine.

I feel like I was searching for him from before my birth.
When I wasn’t searching my soul still would search the earth.
When I found him, every bit of pain suddenly made sense,
All the things I’d been though instantly became past tense.

Everyone I know said that he’d be so far from home,
But then voila! I found him in my yard, my garden gnome.
The circles which I ran in in my past were overdone,
I couldn’t understand why I stayed in them past the fun.

I wanted so much to get out but for some reason stayed,
And when he came right out of them all of the sense was made.
His lips don’t have to speak a word, their curves tell me enough.
His teeth don’t have to clench, I always know when he feels rough.

He could be 24 hundred thousand miles off the earth,
Yet still we’d feel each others pain with fullness and with girth.
His gumption mirrors all of mine, a hearty soul at worst,
We hunger to explore this world, he shares my parching thirst.

We fantasise of the same things and did before we met,
I haven’t found one thing in him I don’t understand yet.
Skin so different from my own but still so nice to me,
His type of skin was my obsession pre we came to be.

Now I know why all of my self favoured all things dark,
The first time that I met him was at night within a park.
I was born with a birthmark the same colour of his skin,
Before I knew his name he’d marked me like a dented tin.

Even if I was to straighten my tin from it’s dents,
Always would a mark remain, he’s put in his two cents.
Even if he left and by some chance I met a man,
He could never fill his shoes or love me like twin can.

Even if I married someone else one dreary day,
And I ran into twin, every vow would wash away.
Even if he died and left a gang of kids behind,
I’d love them like they were my own because his heart has made me kind.

I thought that I was kind before, but now I’m selfless too,
Because to me he is like your own heart is like to you.
Vital; for without your heart you know you’d surely die,
Vital to me is his love, if lost my soul would cry.

Hard like diamond, soft like skin of every newborn child,
I was once a shrew but with one look he turned me mild.
Once so lost in love affairs which meant no more than dust,
He came and swept the dust away and with it went all lust.

Now all that remains is self respect and fulfilled needs,
He came into my garden and he pruned away the weeds….

    A Leaf or the Wind

In life you have a choice
You may see the trees or the forest
you may swim in a lake or the sea
To be a leaf or the Wind you make a choice.

You may be happy or sad,
    or asleep or awake.
    You by viewpoint alone
can often decide if you were effect or cause
for the reason of that Fad.

You can say you guess you are to blame
or you can delineate the reason for your fame,
    Your viewpoint says
If you are a leaf or the Wind.

You may blame all others and existence
    For the trouble you're in

Or you may say I'm not a leaf
    But I am the Wind!

Some may say this is unreal or crazy
Some may say it is only a pipe dream,
But in truth it is what we do
Effect or Cause is a decision,
To be a leaf or the Wind is only your vision.

I Know YOU can DO it

    When life looks all bleary,
    blurry and bad
    Have Faith
    In yourself
    and your abilities.

    When other have betrayed
    and dropped their promised hats
and the credibility of their word
is lower than dung eating beetles.
    Have Faith,
all others are not that way.

    When it looks so low
    it can't ever get lower
    Have Faith,
It only goes up from there.

    When the bureaucratic system
    has stopped you, beat you
    and wants to make you
    a ward of the state.
    Have Faith,
    There must be some organization
    somewhere-sometime
    that is organized
    for survival.

    When the world looks like
    it can't possibly survive
    with such myopic, greedy
    Sobs
    living and running it
    Have Faith,
    Somewhere-Sometime
    there's been a
    decent planet
    out there.

    Despite Everything,
    Despite all
    Despite all barriers

    Have Faith
    In yourself,
    In Others,
    But most of all
    Have Faith in
    Your Dreams.

    Question: How do you make
    Your Dreams come true?

Answer: YOU - MAKE - YOUR DREAMS - COME TRUE!!

So never give up my friend
    And don't blame another;
    Cockroaches, dung eating beetles,
and hissing snakes can be stepped on
    or ignored.
    It's YOUR choice!
I know you can do it!!

For all those who have a mother....Earth

Mother, I have never travelled to the centre of you
but I want to know you intimately
    as a lover would.
    Every spick and every speck.

You have always been here for me and now I am here for you.
I want to be close to you like a babe inside the womb
so that I may feel the rhythm of your heart
    beat-ing.
You who have loved us with so much compassion
whilst we tread the earth like you don't exist.

We don't see and feel you and yet it is for your pure grace and your unconditional love
that we breathe the air so very carefreely.
    Your soils are our perfume
Your water, our elixir of life.
Let us dam up all this motherlove and pour it into our souls
to be held eternally. Just one mother.
