Default "Doggerland ".....North Sea's Atlantis : New Study // Time Team Special - Britain's Drowned World

I enjoy learning about history both mainstream and the more intrigueing alternate
views and ideas. Though they are both subjects that once you get into them give
you a feel of where we have come from and where we are heading, its amazing for
me how connected events are and how we seem to live in cycles repeating the
same mistakes and triumphs as we meander along thru this reality.

Also how the conventional time line is moving back towards that mysterious 12,500
year period at the end of the last Ice age when a higher world wide civilisation may
of been lost. That Graham Hancock and others have been speculating about for decades....

‘Archaeologists are searching for the lost tribes of prehistoric Britain – at the bottom of the North Sea.

In a unique and ground-breaking operation, scientists plan to search for evidence of
Stone Age human activity on Britain’s very own ‘Atlantis’ – a vast prehistoric land, once
located between England and southern Scandinavia, which was engulfed by rising sea
    levels some 7500 years ago.’

I'm sure most readers of this forum are aware, but Graham Hancock's "Underworld" talks about this topic in great depth, and covers numerous corners of the world, including Japan and India.

Thanks swoods-blue that's what I was referring to in post 1 above. I just looked in my archive as
I know I have posted 'Underworld' a few times and it was Grahams documentaries that kept up
my interest in these subjects at a time I had many other worldly distractions to keep me occupied.
I looked back 20 pages in my archive and found a few related threads below but not the 'Underworld'
one. Of course I might have posted it on someone else's thread...LOL

In this interview Graham talks about Shamans and psychedelics.....

Shamans are/were found in most pre 'civilised' cultures. So called

I find no problem in there being advanced civilisations living side by side with
relatively primitive ones thousands of years ago or today....

This is a bit simplistic as tribal life had its problems like any other but you can get the point....

"Decoding the Ice Age Floods - Wallula Gap" Graham Hancock interviews Randall Carlson

    Published on 31 Dec 2014
Raw, spontaneous video of Catastrophist geological researcher Randall Carlson and
best-selling author Graham Hancock overlooking Washington state’s Wallula Gap on
the Columbia River, near the Oregon border. This mile-wide bottleneck restrained
the waters of the Ice Age Floods 13,000 years ago. Hancock interviews Carlson on
the details of the events that scoured the Channeled Scablands and the interview
explores the idea of a comet striking the ice sheet over Canada. First in a series –

Raw recording as Randall Carlson spills catastrophic knowledge spontaneously to
visitors on the trail at Johnston Ridge, overlooking Mount St. Helens in south
western Washington. He questions the entrenched theories regarding the Ice
Age Floods that roared across the state 13,000 years ago, connecting their source
instead to melt-water from an extra-terrestrial object’s direct impact into the ice
sheet covering British Columbia to the north, citing the 'Black Mat' and other
evidence. The controversial “Younger-Dryas Impact Hypothesis” is undergoing
fierce scrutiny, but Carlson has been independently pursuing that avenue of
research since the early 90’s, and is now prepared to instigate more vigorous debate.

multiple flood-flows combining into an 1100 feet-deep lake behind Wallula Gap,

Scientists finally put a face to Cheddar Man, Britain's oldest complete skeleton
from 10,000 years ago.DNA shows early Brit had dark skin

A cutting-edge scientific analysis shows that a Briton from 10,000 years ago
had dark brown skin and blue eyes.Researchers from London's Natural History
Museum extracted DNA from Cheddar Man, Britain's oldest complete skeleton,
which was discovered in 1903.University College London researchers then used
the subsequent genome analysis for a facial reconstruction. It underlines the fact
that the lighter skin characteristic of modern Europeans is a relatively recent
phenomenon. No prehistoric Briton of this age had previously had their genome
    analysed.

As such, the analysis provides valuable new insights into the first people to resettle
Britain after the last Ice Age.The analysis of Cheddar Man's genome - the "blueprint"
for a human, contained in the nuclei of our cells - will be published in a journal, and
will also feature in the upcoming Channel 4 documentary The First Brit, Secrets Of
    The 10,000-year-old Man.

Cheddar Man's remains had been unearthed 115 years ago in Gough's Cave, located
in Somerset's Cheddar Gorge. Subsequent examination has shown that the man was
short by today's standards - about 5ft 5in - and probably died in his early 20s.

Prof Chris Stringer, the museum's research leader in human origins, said: "I've been
studying the skeleton of Cheddar Man for about 40 years

"So to come face-to-face with what this guy could have looked like - and that striking
combination of the hair, the face, the eye colour and that dark skin: something a few
years ago we couldn't have imagined and yet that's what the scientific data show."

A replica of Cheddar Man's skeleton now lies in Gough's Cave

    Ancient Britons 'replaced' by newcomers

Beaker pottery starts to appear in Britain around 4,500 years ago

The ancient population of Britain was almost completely replaced by
newcomers about 4,500 years ago, a study shows. The findings mean
modern Britons trace just a small fraction of their ancestry to the people
    who built Stonehenge.

The astonishing result comes from analysis of DNA extracted from 400
ancient remains across Europe. The mammoth study, published in Nature,
suggests the newcomers, known as Beaker people, replaced 90% of the
British gene pool in a few hundred years.
