Ancient Aliens - Aliens and the Third Reich - S2 Ep5

I've found this show to be a bit hit and miss, but mostly good information (albeit things I've researched before). This particular episode, even my wife who is a bit skeptical about this stuff found to be quite intersting. Its definitely a good history lesson.

An interesting point to note - History has been posting the most recent episode, in full, the day after the airing. This episode aired on US Thanksgiving (Nov. 25), which in itself ensures minimum viewership - no other shows I watch regularly even bothered to have a new episode this week because they know the ratings will be awful. Its like having a political debate on Christmas day or something.

In addition, The full episode has NOT been posted on the history.com website as of the time of this posting - it generally airs thurs. night, and I watch it on Friday online as I don't live in the US (or have cable haha). Could just be the guys who update the website were off that day, but its interesting none-the-less.

Among the topics discsussed:

- Project Paperclip
- Hitler's "Archaeology" expeditions to find ancient tech.
- The Nazi Bell (Avalon Whistleblower Igor W. is interviewed)
- Secret Societies within Nazi Germany
- Von Braun's work for the US and an interesting disclosure by him to a researcher (which I had never heard before)

The russians got their share of german cientists too.
Still, this serie is very «carefull» when mencioning the alien theories . «Hear say« is not the same as actual proof.

Yes, I agree. There's nothing particlarly earth shattering here - at least not for anyone who is already paying attention to this sort of stuff. To someone who has no idea about what's going on in this crazy world, I think this series is a good point with which for them to "jump in." Hit and miss as I said though, but a lot of food for thought, and where attention goes energy flows - the more people out there thinking about disclosure and truth the better I say.

I'm watching the series too and i realize they are made for everyone. The reason behind them is off course not to prove anything about the ancient aliens but to raise questions and awareness and possibilities to many people especially those who never had any clue about this or those that are skeptical. They show amazing theories, clues and evidences that will simply help pushing the disclosure in people's minds a little more.

I couldn't believe my eyes when those three episodes aired back to back. Didn't even know the shows were in the works, we just happened to find it channel surfing. Yes it's very true that people who hang out in a place like this are going to be well versed in this stuff, but I was just fascinated to see how far they were going to take it. If I mention something of the sorts to somebody at work or to family, the eyeballs roll. Maybe with the seal of approval from the lauded History Channel will add some credibility.

I do wonder like others why suddenly now though. There is a lot of alien stuff out there all of a sudden.

I also watch the show but for some reason i get very skeptical whenever they show anything on TV that is of any significance whatsoever. It's like they put it out there so they are sure to put their own spin on it, because they know that the information has already surfaced elsewhere. It was very surprising to see the show at first though, and i do enjoy watching it though. The Decoded show that comes on after it just plain awful though. Those people are so surprised by every little thing they find out. Even when it is the most obvious thing anybody who has done even 2 days of conspiracy research had run across already. Just awful!!

ps. The guy with the big hair, from Time Magazine that is on Ancient Aliens gets on my nerves also!! lol

If you follow it up you will find it originated from Erich von Daniken ("Chariots of the Gods"), who is doing very nicely out of it and his theme park. Despite the well-known faces from the truthseeking industry appearing in its episodes, I agree it contains a number of inaccuracies and leaps of faith due to insufficient research, or maybe oversimplification for the benefit of the thrill-seeking public. All episodes are worth viewing and if you know how to use BitTorrent you can download them all (series 1 and 2) for free. Maybe this could be a project for our members who use PA's FTP server.

For better or worse, it appears the producers are happy to espouse the theories of Zecharia Sitchin.
