Does the silent contactee exist? Since UFO experience can cover a broad spectrum of possibilities can we expect that some cases have been kept completely private? IMO individuals that have taken this approach may know more about the ET phenomenon than we realize. Maybe there are some rules on contact with humans that most races of ETs comply with? If so perhaps contact that is kept private from the rest of the world can go to a deeper level then an experience that is more public?

Yes, silent contactees most definitely exist. In fact there are more of them than the ones who go public...many, many more. If you are interested in the phenomenon of the silent contactee, you need to read John Keel.

This is undoubtably true and maybe there are one or two who are Avalon members, and I can completely envisage many reasons nefarious , benign or a matter of courage that the contact remains private.

I completely agree with selkie. Most contactees will never tell anybody they have had these experiences.

I would imagine that there would be quite a large number of these "silent contactees" not coming forward mainly due to the 'ridicule factor' and the possibility of getting locked up in a 'funny farm'... but those 'negatives' seem to be becoming less and less nowadays, as ETs and UFOs are becoming much more accepted with several new TV shows and such... so one would think that these folks would be more comfortable sharing their stories with others.

here's an important* one, that not too many people know about: this man, who was a protégé of this man (all arranged by this man), he was also the son of this man**, he had extensive contact experiences & wrote about them in his book (the 1st chapter of his book was written by this man). ps. if you read the book, clearly we're on a different timeline.

I sometimes suspect that I am such a one. I have been wondering about it for quite awhile now. The reason I say that is because of certain dreams that I have had, plus the relentless pull toward the unknown that I feel. But I can't be sure, one way or the other, if I have been contacted or not.

There are many. I was forbidden to speak for 4-5 years. Silent contactees will outnumber public ones by 100, if not many thousands, to one.

What keeps the private contactee quiet? Any thoughts to draw the testimonies out? What would be important in distinguishing the validity of the account? We have heard a number of amazing testimonies but never the proof to back it up. Perhaps the lack of supporting proof is one of the causes for the silent witness? Although if someone is having ongoing contact to the point of communication with ET there should be some corroborating evidence? At least an answer to something we could confirm...

Thanks all for sharing. For myself there's a feeling of being naked when there's no footage to go along with the testimony. And I have plenty of eyewitness stuff. People that witnessed something without evidence understand the backlash and even with footage researchers still suffer. That's part of the reason being quiet on the personal observations but learning to overcome some of this because the truth can be amazing to share.
