    Default Edgar Cayce

Edgar Cayce predicted that Russia would become the hope of the world. Link
Through Russia, Cayce said "comes the hope of the world. Not in respect to what is sometimes termed Communism or Bolshevism -- no! But freedom -- freedom! That each man will live for his fellow man. The principle has been born there. It will take years for it to be crystallized; yet out of Russia comes again the hope of the world."

Cayce also predicted the possibility of a THIRD World War. He spoke of strifes arising..."in Libya, and in Egypt, in Ankara, and in Syria; through the straits around those areas above the Persian Gulf."

Russia will become the hope of the world.

A statement that looked utterly absurd and laughable a large part of a century ago is becoming a prayer for the sufferings of so many in today's world. How I wish that this prophecy can become real without the necessity of entering a nuclear war.

I recall reading Cayce went mute, and a hypnotist cured him, but now I cannot find any reference of that anywhere on the internet

Wikipedia says right now that hypnosis -caused- him to be mute, they tried to fix it, but his voice didn't go back to normal

Where did the truth go I wonder, is it hiding?

I went mute before (but only a few moments) and I'm a strong advocate against hypnosis and trances, so I'm extra-skeptical when it comes to Cayce

I consider him the most famous psychic too

As far as I am concerned Cayce was the only psychic who proved the worth of that title. That gift of tapping into the collective human subconscious is a gift, a gift that is bestowed upon all humans, yet a persistent fear based consciousness prevents us from even realizing the potential.

Cayce was "cured" by the hypnotist. I remember that from what I read in 1977.
That is what stimulated his interest in healing others.

Cayce was "cured" by the hypnotist. I remember that from what I read in 1977.
That is what stimulated his interest in healing others.

    Here how it happened:

Quote in March he was struck by severe laryngitis that resulted in a complete loss of speech.[14] Unable to work, he lived at home with his parents for almost a year. He then decided to take up the trade of photography, an occupation that would exert less strain on his voice. He began an apprenticeship at the photography studio of W.R. Bowles in Hopkinsville, and eventually became quite talented in his trade.[16]

In 1901, a traveling stage hypnotist and entertainer named Hart, who referred to himself as "The Laugh Man," was performing at the Hopkinsville Opera House. Hart heard about Cayce's condition and offered to attempt a cure. Cayce accepted his offer, and the experiment was conducted in the office of Dr. Manning Brown, the local throat specialist. Cayce's voice allegedly returned while in a hypnotic trance but disappeared on awakening. Hart tried a posthypnotic suggestion that the voice would continue to function after the trance, but this proved unsuccessful.[17][18]

Since Hart had appointments at other cities, he could not continue his hypnotic treatments of Cayce, but admitted he had failed because Cayce would not go into the third stage of hypnosis to take a suggestion. A New York hypnotist, Dr Quackenboss, found the same impediment but, after returning to New York, suggested that Cayce should be prompted to take over his own case while in the second stage of hypnosis. The only local hypnotist, Al Layne, offered to help Cayce restore his voice.[19] Layne suggested that Cayce describe the nature of his condition and cure while in a hypnotic trance.[17] Cayce described his own ailment from a first-person plural point of view: "we" instead of the singular "I."[17] In subsequent sessions, when Cayce wanted to indicate that the connection was made to the "entity" of the person that was requesting the reading, he would generally start off with, "We have the body." According to the reading for the "entity" of Cayce, his voice loss was due to psychological paralysis, and could be corrected by increasing the blood flow to the voice box. Layne suggested that the blood flow be increased and Cayce's face supposedly became flushed with blood, and both his chest and throat turned bright red.[17] After 20 minutes, Cayce, still in a trance, declared the treatment over. On awakening, his voice was alleged to have remained normal. Apparently, relapses occurred, but were said to have been corrected by Layne in the same way, and eventually the cure was said to be permanent.

Reading about Edgar Cayce changed my life for the better. After decades I still have books on his cures and recommendations.

I believe he was an exceptionally gifted person and hope he was right about Russia.

We certainly need something better than the status quo of these United States at this time.

A friend of Edgar Cayce, TJ (Thomas Jefferson) Davis (related to Edgar's secretary, Gladys Davis) used to come to our swing dances in Charlottesville, VA.

When I heard that Edgar helped raise young TJ, I asked him to tell some stories.

TJ said that he, then a young boy, would help Edgar in the garden, and Edgar would ask TJ to identify some of the nature spirits. If TJ got it right, they would go fishing. If not, they would stay and work the garden.

TJ also said that Edgar told him to go to Charlottesville, VA. He would be safe there.

I have not seen TJ for at least 5 years. He may have gotten too old to dance.

I'd love to hear more stories.

I ran into TJ, back in VAB, around 1975-76 (?). Nice guy. Looked like Thomas J., too.
Was friends with some of the Turners (from Pennsylvania) who were related to Gladys Davis Turner's husband. Small world.

I was reading Jane Robert's "the unknown reality" vol I, yesterday and in it, Seth was explaining nature spirits. Seth states that these beings are mostly invisible to human beings, and that their purpose is to bring and feed necessary higher energy into plant life and nature in general. I found myself shaking my head in affirmation.
Further, The Urantia book calls these beings midway creatures, and pretty much states the same about them.
This is why I love these three sources of channeled material including Edgar Cayce, because they are genius and they all agree with one another.

Which brings me to another point.
    Jesus Christ.
I'm coming more and more to the idea that it would be just easier to do the Christian thing with a reincarnational slant as Edgar Cayce teaches. The Urantia Book agrees on this tenant as well.
The more I study the more I pursue a shamanistic explanation for the world the more I run into the dark, shadowy evil side of the way things work. Our very culture is permeated with a dark fibrous infection, much like the roots of a shadowy fungus that has found it's way to capitalize on our bad habits.

Anyway, Ron, any Cayce story's you wish to share I would welcome.
I loved this one and I thank you for it.
I apogogize if the forum as a whole isn't interested, but rest assured I sure am.
    Thank You

My mother cured her psoriasis with one of his remedies, but now I can't find that reference online either! His information on psoriasis online is different.

I thought he said that it was a blood disease. She cured her psoriasis by swallowing chopped up garlic (garlic pills are no good), I wonder if that'd work on anyone else
