Default Sometimes You Just Need A Change in Life

Some people really know how to live 'off' the grid and be well prepared. One bottle and 2 glasses should do it!

This is a topic I am very close to and I am planning to go off-grid and be completely independent over the next few years-I would say there would be quite a few on this forum who feel the same way. A lot of the available 'Prepper' type websites are a part of the patriot community in America, but there are heaps of people from different countries who are doing similar things - I have started to build a community website for non-USA 'Preppers' and folks who are interested in Off-Grid lifestyles, alternative and solar energy, composting toilets, building your own homestead, water purification, herbal medicines (including Cannabis), hunting and fishing, All this kind of thing - it is at: http://www.offgridsurvival.website and I am looking for contributors, writing articles, posting blueprints, plans, how-to type videos. You are all welcome to contribute if you are interested in off grid and alternative living styles!

I too am preparing for my move. Its suppose to be this year end but since its rainy I decided to postpone it for summer. I had just started constructing one of my gadgets yesterday. I will post it in due time. My strategy is simple. Dedicate the weekends to the the off grid place. Say if I plan to move 6 months from now I should start planting seeds that will be due for harvest when I move and so on. Others things needed I expect to meet along the way.

I am not prepping though for any emergency. This place is simply not for me I belong to offgrid.

I'm not sure what you mean Granny...by building a viable and successful life where you depend on your own resourcefulness and ingenuity it is a contribution to the human story, we each have the right to pursue happiness, whether in the USA or not - I can't think of a better contribution than creating a truly human life off the man's grid!

Yes Bubu, as i say on my site's front page - I am not a part of the 'fear & alarm' movement, I don't push 'doomsday'- I think it is just a reasonable response to the encroaching fascist world state, draconian social restrictions, crime, all of it! I am more interested in a decent compost heap, growing good food, and efficient power generation!
