Ernine its good to see you here again, I missed you.

Im not going to give a long response prompted by your thoughts.

Stephen Wolinsky is an eye opener.

No such thing as spirituality--enormous baggage in that label --you are supposed to be kind and all the other things.

I have put a video of his below and from that you can see where he is coming from--he makes sense to me--not saying he is right but may well be so.

In your True identity you are perfect--improvement is not possible--not required.

    Best wishes
    Chris

What gets posted covers a spectrum so there is seeming contradiction but its all levels and what opens one's door may not open another's.
Basically you cant earn Self-realization--every attempt, the seeking , takes you further away from what you already are.
So trying to act loving kind "spiritual" creates stress and guilt at not being able to match up what you think you should be, when you are already That--even the persona is as You intended it to be.

The other side of it is, the seeming other is under the same "spell" that you are.
Nisargatdatta called it all a mirage--so we are all mirage persons--smiling

Your into Tom as well? I found Tom about 12 years ago. I read Robert Monroe's "Journeys out of the Body" in high school, but never new Tom was a big part of the formation of the Monroe Institute. He can be a little long winded but I like his work.

Moral codes may regulate a man's impulses. Being a batfan, this is one of my favorite scenes. Batman's code of morality which is not to kill controls his temper.

Spiritualism like Materialism takes many forms of which not all is what we would view as externally apparent.

They both point at but intrinsically are not the point.

It's like if someone were to ask me what the Point is, what I would tell them would not be the Point but words and ideas that are pointing.

Everything is pointing so there is no Point (even what we know as the Point is pointing).

If someone were to ask me to point out the Point and I could perfectly describe in the finest detail such a Point that too would be pointing.

What is the point to pointing you ask? That is a question for the ages. Could in be but remnants of that which is not of this 'pointing'? A reminder not quite fully formed? A silent whisper?

I hear your whisper in the wind old friend, it's good to hear your voice once again.

Michael A. Rodriguez - Buddha at the Gas Pump Interview

This is just a story. I put it into words reluctantly. Please do not compare yourself to me or anyone else. Rather, live by your own Light. In reality, there is absolutely no separation between you and me in any way.

I share my direct experience of boundless Awareness, which is our common ground, to all beings who feel called to work with me. My spiritual path began 22 years ago with Zen and subsequently included deep engagements with Vedanta, Sufism, and Christian mysticism.

I hold four academic degrees, including a master’s degree in Comparative Religion from Harvard, taught at the university level for many years, and lived for two years in a monastery. Although I began my journeyless journey with Roshi Philip Kapleau and Toni Packer, my three greatest influences are Nisargadatta, Mooji, and Rupert Spira.

Based on my exposure to their teachings, my spiritual path culminated after I left academia and had an Awakening during a five-year period of purification and alchemical transmutation where I experienced a series of direct insights into non-dual Awareness. In addition to this extraordinarily dynamic purificatory process of the body-mind during which my insights became embodied in and as the Natural State, I also saw my Self in the silence of the mind as the unbroken eternal continuity of Pure Awareness, what Nisargadatta calls the Absolute; this Realization has never left and is the unchanging Reality of all my changing experiences. Seeking fell away, the seeker disappeared, and all questions and doubts vanished.

As I work with people one-on-one and in groups, I avoid any fixed position by flowing freely not only between the paths of wisdom and devotion, but also between the radical non-dual approach that points to "sudden Awakening" and the many yogic/therapeutic paths that emphasize evolution. In addition to drawing from the world’s wisdom traditions, I integrate literature, music, and art into my work to address the full range of human potential.

For those who are interested, a more detailed description of my spiritual unfoldment can be found on my website.
