Enlightenment: The Ego, what is it? How to transcend it.

Electricity--the current thought.
The smallest battery cotains and discharges electricity.
The wall socket does the same at a higher voltage.
The transformer again a higher voltage
Source the highest voltage.
All electricity.

Everything material in this world is consciousness condensed into matter.
The unseen becomes the seen in many shapes and forms--all are of the same substratum--condensed consciousness.
So regardless the human and the Ultimate, the same consciousness the difference being the "voltage"
the vibration--frequency--name it what you will.
The six volt can truthfully say " I am electricity"
Self can say "I am That"--God Realized--Brahman take your pick.
There is no separation, though there may be a difference of amplitude.
All from the smallest to the largest--the least to the greatest -- all of the same substance.
So the spiritual quest is to throw off all that condenses, limits, prevents realizing the ultimate Truth.

So this is another concept that I have to release--smiling broadly.

Having come so far as to discover
all appearances to be unreal,
the final obstacle is the identity of the seeker.
The seeker says, ‘I just want to be free, I just want to be
who I am. That is all I want now, nothing else.’
He says, ‘Please remove the last obstacle,’
not knowing that the obstacle is he himself.
But all of this has only been our dream-talking,
dream-walking, dream-seeking.
Now through the Master’s guidance and grace,
one must twist oneself loose from this conditioned
identity as a seeker by recognising that it too
is observable, and is therefore phenomenal.
Take time to be anchored in this
because this recognition is crucial.
The seeker remains dissatisfied and says,
‘You never answer my questions.’
The question and the questioner have been
answered but can the ‘seeker’ accept an answer
that reveals its unreality?
He says, ‘Wow, but without me, how can I be found?’
And I say, Without ‘you’ how can you be lost?
When this is grasped, one has found the master key
to awakening.

Good to see Mooji being so clear on this.

My challenge is that many enlightened have a spontaneous awakening, almost "accidental"--that includes Mooji--then they give suggestions as to how to achieve Self realization
As far as I can see one can be come "accident" prone and then its down to Divine Providence.
Cant earn it, cant make it happen, however the ground is prepared through some study, meditation, neity neity--etc
Then perhaps Self is revealed to have been always present.

Prior to!!
The penny has dropped.
Eckhart Tolle said that your are the field of consciousness in which everything appears.
I had a limited understanding of that.
Then much later listening to The Swami I got the depth of understanding.
I am, as silent awareness, prior to all manifestation--its not that something is there and I suddenly become aware of it NO!! I am Consciousness preceding and remaining (eternal) before and after any appearance.
Things come and go in awareness--awareness is unaffected by any of it.
An in depth contemplation on this will show it to be true.
Many things that enlightened teachers point to are literally true.
Eckhart said "There never was anyone there to hurt you"--there is no other!!
No subject nor object.
All is One conscious appearing as the many.
The Bible says much the same in Genesis
"God became all that is without diminishing it self" or words to that effect.
