Default Facebook Bots--Am I Crazy Paranoid, or am I crazy intuitive?

This is a status I was going to make until I realized posting on Facebook to the like 300 friends I have is not very effective, and not even a quarter of them is awake, anyways, here:

"Once you've disclosed an online individual as a bot through messages at least three times, they will continue denying it and will then block you if you don't stop. All of these bots are programmed to reply in ways where people can agree. All of these bots have different personalities lots of the time depending on their personalities displayed on their profiles."

That's kind of a conclusion I've came to after talking to lots of people who have truth in what they say but also have very misleading but "sound good" philosophical concepts that I could give many many examples of if I went back and collected them all. I believe lots of philosophical concepts or perhaps spiritual wisdom, and I just apply it to my own circumstances to advance myself. If it doesn't make what I want changed right this moment, then it's not worth it. Lots of people are stuck in cycles of negativity that is holding them back from achieving their goals and especially spreading the truth effectively. I think this is their plan, to distort the truth throughout the internet. We'd be ignorant to think all of this is real but that they aren't distorting the truth and sending out misinformation of it in order to confuse us and be oblivious to the routes of the problems and the proper approach to the solutions, because I think that's exactly what they are doing, I would too if I were a secret society being exposed by a bunch of people on the internet.

AI technology has advanced significantly in the past several years and it's really hard to think that they aren't capable of hiring tons of programmers with all the money they have to develop fake AI bots with different personalities and photoshopped images to distort the truth and basically waste peoples time. Most of these people I encountered seem arrogant and are trying to give off the vibe that they're superior and all knowing beings. They'll especially try to disagree with what you say.

Am I paranoid? What are your thoughts?

FB is an intel op. I avoid it like the plague. I was never big on it anyway in the short time before I discontinued it. Outside of immediate family members, my "friends" were mostly distant "friends", i.e., people from high school from many years ago I no longer had anything in common with, if I ever did to begin with, or "friends or friends," who I didn't know anyway. It seems like a big waste of time to me, not even considering the nefarious stuff intel does with people's info. I am sure there are 'bots' that people add as "friends" that are nothing more than data collectors, and others like you say, that are there to control the narrative. It's a known fact there are shills and trolls who are paid to frequent comment sections all over the net. FB certainly has its share. Dating sites have proven to have all kinds of fake accounts with fake photos, but that's to drum up business by showing all these potentially "available" hot mates to keep people dreaming of hitting the hottie lottery.

I use it purely for animal rights activism; it seems to have a positive effect so far. . . . .I don't discuss my personal life, where I am, what I plan etc. There is no way I can manage my 3000+ "friends", but they are all (they say!) vegan or at least vegetarian; I ignore flamers & trolls.

I agree, that anywhere we can get the word out regarding our animal brothers and sisters is good. You never know when you are going to effect that one person to make a change. Thank you, for what you do to help right the wrongs that have been perpetuated by mankind against the animal kingdom. We cannot evolve as human beings without drastically changing the way we treat animals and FB is as good a place as any other to get the word out.

So you get to yell into a vegan echo chamber all day? Don't you find the lack of outside perspective limiting?

So posting on facebook is considered "doing something" now? I doubt filtering every opinion out that isn't "vegan" will reach a very wide audience.

I think this is the perfect example of how facebook isn't helping at all, you build these limited closed communities where outside messages are considered "flamers or trolls" and the only people allowed in are those of like minds... "preaching to the choir" comes to mind.

I don't have a facebook page, I have a horse rescue (we work with sheep, pigs, mongoose, cats, dogs and birds as well...).

Think my time would be better spent on facebook?

Beware of Confirmation bias; it will make you think you are going a million miles an hour when your wheels are just spinning in the facebook mud.

I keep my FB friends limited to people that I have met face to face. It is amazing how many 'people' try to friend me that I have never met.
Blessed Be to You and Me.

Sometimes, it is as simple as a facebook page that might capture someones attention. I personally have nothing to do with facebook. I work with 2 animal rescue groups, and it is a top priority in my life. I know that that it is just a tiny drop in the bucket and will probably amount to nothing in the scheme of things. At the end of the day, what I do, whether it does any good or not is done to align my actions with my beliefs. I could not live with myself if I didn't make an effort to do this, no matter how insignificant my actions are. I have spent time in the past giving lip service to my beliefs that were not followed up with actions and I was not a very happy camper. So, I stand behind the statement that anything you do with the intention of creating goodness in the world is worth the time and effort.

Ha !! I have never had FB, but I have had mails, who have invite me to become friend with xx yy. When I told them (face to face) to please stop trying to get me on FB, they then say, they have not send me such a mail.

So conclusion is, FB go into there mail address book and pick up my mail address and send me an invitation.
