As they flew down the line they could see visual signs of the Fault on the surface. Kevin came in over a forested area and had to climb in elevation to stay above the hills and mountain peaks he could see in front of their course. Kristyl could see the snow covered peaks and thought about when she was little how her parents had taken her to places that had snow and they would play for days while skiing and sledding. Those memories had been so long ago. The further toward the east they flew the more mountainous and forested the terrain became. They saw small towns below but no traffic was visible on any roads they could see. The entire area to the south was mountains and forests. Bill had been looking out the side window and mentioned something about a place called the Las Padres National Forest that was north of Los Angeles. “This could be that place.” Logan asked about the road he could see to the east of them. Kevin told him that it was called the I-5 and it ran from Canada to Mexico. “It is the main highway that people use to move up and down the west coast.” As they came closer to the road they were still over the mountainous and forested area, when the nuclear device detector started beeping. Kristyl adjusted a dial and it clearly beeped solid. The device was showing to be just ahead of them and buried around 300 meters below ground.

Kevin found a secluded area that was outside of the small town where the device seemed to be placed. The trees were sparse and appeared to be a mixture of ponderosa pine with large oak trees and oak brush. There were other deciduous trees in the area. Kevin landed the chopper in a small canyon of large boulders and trees. Kristyl had marked the location of the device and it appeared to be located under the town. They all decided to walk into the town and see the sights as it was. Kristyl had said that her heat signature for humans and animals was quite sketchy as if this place could be abandoned almost. Bill told them that they could use the jet belts to get close and then split up and investigate the town. Kristyl had recorded the device location on a small recorder and as they moved toward the town the recorder kept beeping and getting more concentrated. It resembled the old Geiger counters that were used in the last century that would register Uranium in degrees the closer one came to the radioactive mineral.

Bill directed everyone to a small field located next to a road that ran into the town. “From here we can walk into the town and perhaps not be noticed. I think we should split up into two teams. I and Logan will go as one team while you two go as the other. Kevin looked at Kristyl and hugged her as Bill and Logan began to move off toward the main street. Kevin took Kristyl by the hand and they both moved to the road and began walking into the small town. As they walked by an old fashioned building with a boardwalk in front Kristyl felt faint for a moment and moved to the walkway to sit down. Kevin followed and asked if she was alright. She looked up at him and said that she just needed to sit for a minute. “Something has moved in me and I need to rest.” Kevin sat beside her and asked if it was the baby. Kristyl looked at him and shook her head up and down. Her face had turned almost pasty white but began to return to her natural olive skin color as she sat and breathed easy. Kevin said “we should go back to the chopper for now and let Bill and Logan search for the device.” Kristyl shook her head sideways and said “no you and I are destined to do something here.

Kevin waited until Kristyl stood once more and they both began to walk the street again. Kevin kept looking around and finally had to speak “this town looks and feels like it is deserted. I have not see a car or any people since we walked into the town, have you?” Kristyl spoke quietly and said “I have had that same feeling but there is someone here because I have seen some movement in the windows of a few buildings back. This place is spooky and we need to find that device and get done with it.” “What do you suppose happened here to make the people move away?” As she spoke these words she noticed the movement again in a couple of building ahead of them. It was as if someone or something had been watching them and as soon as her eyesight looked in that direction the shadow of whatever moved behind a building. She picked up her pace and almost ran to the spot where she had seen the movement. Kevin called to her and said “hey wait up” as he ran after her. When she reached the spot or area she had seen the movement there was nothing or no one there. She sat down again on the boardwalk of the building next to the alley way. Kevin caught up a few seconds later and looked down the alley. “What did you see?” She looked up and said “I thought I saw a small person who seemed to run into that alley.” Her belly all of a sudden felt like it was kicked. She let out a painful sound and lay back on the boardwalk. Kevin moved to her quickly and raised her back up into a sitting position and said “we need to go back to the chopper NOW.”

Alisha had been resting comfortably and was moved by the Divine Creator to make her mother aware of the children that were barely surviving in the place that she and her father had come to. She could see them hiding and scrounging for food as they moved from one building to another to keep the wild dogs from eating them. She also could see what had happened to this place in the past that made the once thriving town become abandoned. She reached out and touched her mothers belly and made her feel a slight pain then she began to talk to her in the mind. Mother you are going to see shadows of movement in this place and you must go after them. You will find children that need to be saved here and they must go to the haven where they can grow. These children have been abandoned but they are of the new healing on this world. They have been forgotten and have also forgotten their abilities. Find them and take them home. Kristyl had been listening to her daughter. At first she was not sure what was happening but the gentle touch to her belly and then the thoughts that were flooding her mind woke her completely to the dire situation happening in this abandoned place. She looked up at Kevin and said “we have to find the children and we must take them to the haven.” Kevin was not sure of what was happening at first but Kristyl spoke into his mind and explained enough to let him know that there were children here that needed saving and the sooner the better.

Up the street around one half of a mile, Logan and Bill approached the building that showed the sign of where the nuclear device was located. Logan had seen the device and was ready to go and get rid of it. Bill told him to wait because he wanted to see what was in this building and perhaps learn why it had been picked to burry the device under. The front window glass was broken and the door was wide open. A sign was hanging by what looked like a spike of some kind read “Gen al Stor” . They could see where letters had been and were missing. Bill was the first to enter and stepped on broken glass as he moved across the threshold. Logan followed and quietly jumped over the glass. Inside Bill could see empty shelves with some lying on the floor. The counter was bare except for a cash register of an old variety. He thought that he had stepped through a time warp and entered an old Wild West store perhaps in the late 19th century or early 20th century. Logan moved around and walked into the shelving units to maybe find something that would give them some clues as to why this was an ancient place and maybe find some sort of a date. Bill walked over to the counter and examined the old cash register and saw the shelves behind the counter with some paraphernalia still sitting on them. He moved around and began to exam what was there when he heard a creaking noise coming from the shelving units where Logan had disappeared into. As he turned toward the back of the place a loud crashing noise made him wench and he called for Logan as he moved toward the noise. Logan told him to stop and look for a stairwell. “There is a basement and you must not come any further this way the floor is very unstable.”

Back down the street, Kevin helped Kristyl to her feet and they both moved into the alley or space between the buildings. Kevin had noticed the crevasses in the ground and the damage to the buildings when they had walked down the main street and they had to be careful not to fall in the large crack in the earth as they moved through this so called alley. Kristyl hugged the building side as she moved toward the back. Kevin stayed close enough to grab her if something happened. They both came through the alley and onto another street. It looked like more of a service road or alley than a main street. As Kevin looked around he could see the rear of other buildings and looking further between them he could see another main street. Kristyl told him that they must keep moving toward that other street. Kevin looked at the ground and could see small shoe prints heading in that direction until they disappeared onto the pavement surface. Kristyl was moving across the pavement surface when a small child took off running from behind an old dumpster that was in-between the buildings directly in front of them. Kevin saw the flash of the child and recognized a female as she ran from the alley way into the street beyond. Kristyl called out and asked her to stop. The child kept moving and disappeared from view as she turned to the right and went behind the building. Kristyl began to run herself and Kevin had to start running to keep up with her.

In the store Bill found the entrance to the stairs and started to traverse them. The creaking sound made him stop and then gently take each step at a time. Every time he stepped down to the next step the creaking seemed to become louder. He reached out to Logan and told him that the stairs appeared to be unstable also. He heard Logan tell him that he would be alright if he kept moving slowly. After every creaking and moaning step he finally reached the bottom and stepped onto the concrete floor. Logan was standing about 20 feet away and there was a single light bulb shining. Bill had been prepared to levitate himself if the stairs had caved in but the head clearance was very minimal. He began to exam the surroundings and saw boxes of supplies stacked all around. He moved over to where Logan was standing and saw where the floor above had fallen through. He turned and looked at Logan to see if he was alright and Logan said “I am fine father and I have found an entrance to the underground area that will lead to the device. Bill glanced around and did not see a door way or anything that looked like an entrance. Logan touched him and told him to look down. When he did he still was not sure until the longer he looked he could see a discoloration in the concrete floor beneath their feet. Logan told him that this is where the military had excavated to take the device down. They had covered the hole with cement when they were done and something very bad happened to the owners of the store above. Bill asked “how are we going to get through this concrete?” Logan asked him to step back. As they both moved to the concrete that looked older, Logan bent down and touched the fresher concrete. The area opened up and Bill saw a stair system leading into a dark hole. He turned to Logan and said “you gonna show me how to do that?” Logan smiled and stepped down to the stairs. “This is the way and we must go a fair distance until we find that device.”

Lisa had watched the man and boy walk up the street until they reached the old store. She started to move when a woman and a man entered the street and began to walk her way. Kurt and she had been sent out to forage for the dinner meal. The food was getting scarcer, there were canned foods still in some of the places and they had been eating what they could find for the past few years since all the people had left and they found themselves left behind. She and Kurt and Hank and Debbie had been down at the old swimming hole when the giant earth shaking occurred. They had to run to some area that didn’t have boulders rolling down and trees falling to keep from being killed. The swimming hole became very hot and started to boil as they ran away. They could not go back on the path from town because it had sunk into crevasses and fire was belching from the cracks. Hank was the oldest and showed them where to go to be safe. The shaking lasted for hours and it seemed to her that it lasted for days.

When the shaking had finally stopped they made their way back to town which was around 5 miles from the swimming hole. They had run a few miles further to keep safe and spent a few days surviving in a cave. When they finally got back they found the town empty. They went to their homes and found nothing but destruction. The town buildings were somewhat in tack but a lot of the surrounding homes were fallen in and there were fires still burning in a lot of them. Lisa and Debbie’s parents were gone and Hank’s parents had been buried in the rubble of his home. Kurt found his parents in a car that was half buried in one of the crevasses. It was as if the town had suffered a time warp and everyone had been swept either forward or backward except the ones that they found dead. That was when they found a safe place and began to survive. They had to move a few times because the animals, especially the dogs began to run in packs and were always looking for food. They had been attacked a few times and had to fight off the beasts. Hank had suffered an open wound on his right leg before they killed the animal that had jumped him. Debbie had thrown a torch at the pack and they all took rocks and clubs to them and finally chased them off. It took a month for Hank to recover from that attack but they found other weapons to protect themselves from the animals.

Bill had made a torch and he and Logan had made their way down the carved out stair way. He stepped onto the floor surface of a large cavern and held up the torch to gaze around. The cavern had stalactites hanging from the ceiling and in some places he could not see the ceiling. Logan began walking across the expanse and told Bill that this was the way to the device. Bill could see large boulders lying on the floor of the cavern and there were small pockets of fires spread over the expanse of the area. Logan told him they must hurry because this area was subject to more earth tremors. Bill knew that the fault line ran under the town above but was not sure exactly where. As they moved further into the expanse of the cavern Bill noticed that the slope of the ground was becoming steeper and the heat was rising. Logan stopped and turned to the left. “We must go this way” and as he spoke he walked to another opening in the cavern wall. Bill was sweating heavily but followed the boy. They both entered a small opening and almost immediately the ground became quite steep. Logan levitated and told Bill to do the same. “This tunnel is going to wind around and down and will lead us to the device. It is going to be much hotter the closer we get because the fault is running not far under the device.” Bill understood and they both floated down the winding tunnel.

When Kevin caught up to Kristyl she had stopped on the street around the corner of the building that they had ran beside. He stopped also and barely saw the movement of the little child as she disappeared into an old looking barn structure that was 7 buildings up the street. The street had a large open crack that led from a sinkhole that looked to be about 600 yards further up the street. They could see some cars tipped sideways and some poking straight up in the crack. Kristyl was looking for a way to cross the street and started to move up the street. Kevin could see where the buildings on the other side had caved in with partial collapse of roof and walls. The crack had taken a zig zag course as it opened up along the street and some buildings had lost their front walls. He hurried after Kristyl and told her that they had to be very careful as the ground could be unstable. Kristyl was being wary as she moved forward and could see the foot prints of the little girl. She came to a place where the foot prints looked as it they went straight into the crack but then noticed where the child had jumped down to a solid looking bottom and crossed only to climb up the other side. She turned to Kevin and told him that they must find the children before this place disappeared into earth. The earthquakes have been increasing here and the entire town could be swallowed. Kevin wasn’t quite sure where she was getting all this information but decided to take the lead and get the children she was talking about out of here. They both levitated across the crack and began to walk toward the opening in the old style barn.

The heat had become unbearable as Bill and Logan floated out of the tunnel into another open cavern. The light was bright with open magma pools. The sulfur stench was so potent that they could taste it from the air. Bill was not breathing very well so Logan placed a bubble of air around both of them as they moved closer to the device that was perched on a rocky surface. Logan had wondered if the cavern was this bad when the device had first been placed. The Magma pools were bubbling so bad that the stuff was spewing into the air and landing on the banks around the pools. Logan moved them to the device in the air as they never touched the ground since they had levitated the first time. He knew that the ground was so hot that it would have melted their shoe souls. He could also see cracks in the ceiling forming and rocks and dirt was falling in places. He knew that this place was very close to a major eruption of magma and when that started the device would be ignited by itself. That would not be a very good thing to happen. They stopped in front of the device and Bill saw a gauge on the readout that showed the temperature of the device. As soon as he saw that he knew the thing was so close to exploding that he turned to Logan and told him they had to send this thing away within the next 15 seconds. He pulled his TMG and began to dial the place to send it too when he found himself standing on the street outside the old General Store. He turned and screamed for Logan and the ground began to shake violently. He fell down and tried to get back up with the intention of racing back into the building and going after Logan. As he got to his knees a giant geyser of Magma blew from the ground just down the street and spewed lava out onto the street and buildings.

Two rows of buildings and a street over from where Bill was; Kristyl and Kevin had entered the old barn building and were following the child’s tracks toward the back of the building. The ground began to shake and rumble and three children ran from a back room area and straight into them. Kevin reached out and grabbed the tallest of the three. The boy took a swing at him but to no avail as Kevin ducked and managed to hold him tight. Kristyl had grabbed the littlest girl and swirled around with her as another taller girl barreled into her. They all went down in a tangle onto the floor. The older girl yelled at Kristyl to let her go “WE MUST FIND KURT, LET ME GO” Kristyl held the littlest and let the bigger girl go. The little girl kicked her and squirmed loose. Kevin held the boy and told him that they were there to help them and stop fighting. The ground was shaking very badly and small geysers were erupting in various places. The boy yelled over the cacophony of noise and told the girls to wait. Kevin let the boy go and moved to pick Kristyl up.

Lisa moved close to her sister and Debbie held her close. Hank had yelled for them to stop so they stood still while watching the man walk over and help the woman up. The ground was shaking more than it had in the past and the red hot spouts of fire were becoming more frequent and greater in number as they stood waiting for Hank to tell them what to do. Lisa new that this was totally different than all the times in the past when the earth shook, she had never seen the hot fire spewing from the ground. Two years in the past when the earth shook and they were at the swimming hole, she had thought that was the worst time and it was in the way because all the town folk had left and they had been abandoned. This time felt like the end of the world and her instinct was screaming at her to run away from here. Kurt was not with them and they had to find him before they could find a safe place.

Bill stood up and started to move back to the building when he saw the young boy standing on the boardwalk. He yelled at the boy to come to him as he saw the building begin to fall in. The boy jumped from the boardwalk and ran toward him just as the entire building fell into a giant sinkhole. He held out his arms and the boy ran into them. He picked him up and looked around as other buildings began to fall down and the ground began to open up and swallow them. He did not know what had happened to Logan but it appeared that he and this little boy were in grave danger of being swallowed with the entire street. A large crack was moving toward them down the street so the only thing to do was levitate himself and the boy above this disastrous nightmare. As he floated up he could see the buildings beginning to fall into the earth up and down the street. He reached out to communicate with Kevin and Kristyl to tell them that this town was sinking into the fault and they needed to get back to the chopper and leave now.

The ground was shaking very violently now and Kevin could see buildings falling down as well as fissures opening up and spewing steam and lava geysers. He heard Bill in his mind telling him what was happening on the main street over from their position. Kristyl had heard also and moved to the girls while Kevin reached out for the boy. Kristyl began to levitate her self and the two girls when the boy screamed again that they had to find Kurt. Kevin had already levitated and Hank was above the ground a few feet when a large crack suddenly appeared right below them. The Barn building began falling down and Kevin pulled the boy away from it just before the roof and front wall fell toward them. Kristyl had already taken the girls up and away and was moving toward the main street between two buildings when both of them began to fall into the ground. Kevin pulled Hank with him and reached Kristyl. He took her hand while holding the boys hand and all of them rose up higher and moved quicker into the main street area. Bill was hovering in the air with the other boy when they floated out from the crashing buildings. Bill yelled at them over the cacophony of noise and told them to head for the chopper. In all of this confusion and emergency situation none of them realized that they were not using the Jet belts but rather their own capabilities to levitate and fly. Kristyl heard the little girl yell at the boy that Bill was carrying. “Kurt we were very worried for you, are you alright?” The boy yelled back and said he was fine but it looked like the town was not going to be around anymore after this latest quaking.

Reaching the chopper they all dropped down and climbed aboard. Kevin had left the rotor hot and spun it as soon as they all sat down. The chopper rose from the ground just before two large boulders rolled into the area they had been setting. As they rose every one could see the trees falling and the rocks rolling and the higher the got the more destruction they could see. Once they were high enough Kristyl gasped and every one looked out the front. What they saw was a complete nightmare as the entire town fell into a large fissure that of sudden just opened up. They could see red hot magma welling up and the buildings burning into oblivion. Bill watched as it all fell and the fault was exposed for around 5 or 6 miles. He wondered if it would continue in either direction. Kevin veered off and moved toward the east and south to find another safe place to land. They had rescued four children and it bothered him that there may have been more in that hell hole that they did not know about. Flying to the east they came across the large main freeway that ran North and South. Kevin could see where the road had caved in where the Fault line crossed it. The Traffic was very scarce so it was a blessing that it had not been heavily traveled at this time. He kept moving to the east along the fault line until he could see the expanse of the desert off to the north of their flight path. He moved away from any type of civilization and found an area that looked like he could land where they would not be in any danger of the Fault line. Kristyl asked where Logan was when she regained her wits. Bill touched her on the Shoulder and said “He sent me back to the street when we were down in the cavern below the town. I was going back for him when the street and buildings began to shake and destruct and then this boy was in danger. She turned and looked at the boy and shook her head. When she turned back to look at her gear and monitors she had tears running down her cheeks.

Floating in the air just above the device, Logan knew that it was going to fall into a magma pit any second. He also knew that Bill could not use his TMG in time to keep it from exploding. He had seen the young boy standing on the boardwalk of the building just before it caved in and new that Bill would save him. He was number four of the children that needed to be saved from the destruction that was within a few minutes away on the surface where the town existed. He reached out and sent Bill to the street above and turned and touched the device just as the entire ground surface of the cavern caved and melted in the large lake of molten magma. He and the device moved into deep space and the thing exploded. His corporeal body was instantly removed from his spirit. The explosion was dissolved in the vacuum of space and he was moved into the greater being of the universe. The waiting room was not there for him. He was everything and everywhere all at once. He was with the Divine Creator and of him. He knew he could go anywhere and be anything. Hava and Luun reached into him and he was part of them. He saw all that was and all that would be and he is as now. Time does not exist, it all is now. He watched Bill stand and save the boy. He talked with Alisha as she floated in her new mother. He saw the four children as they regained their memories and joined the healing beings of the earth. He moved through the universe and knew that time is only a concept of the corporeal being.

    ALIEN ENCOUNTERS
The cliff was a solid granite rock face. At the top there were junipers and pines with sparse fir trees. The rocks were grouped in clumps and there were large groves of scrub oak. When Daniel and Theresa flew over the edge the canyon dropped away at somewhere around 5 or 600 hundred feet before the bottom spread at a slope toward a fast moving river. On the far side was a fairly level area of land and they could see a thick growth of deciduous trees up and down the canyon. The level land stretched around 200 yards before the rock face on the far side climbed back up to almost the level of the side they had approached from. Theresa dropped down the cliff face and began to exam it for any signs of openings that might be used to escape from the underground base. Daniel moved over to the other side of the canyon and landed on the sandy bar. He was going to walk along the rivers edge but immediately saw animal tracks that looked like something big. He raised himself up and gazed at the cliff face that he could see through the trees. Hovering about 15 feet off the ground he could see something that caught his eye on the cliff face to the left of his position. He spoke into the mind of Theresa and told her what he was going to investigate and where he was. She spoke back and said she was further up the river and had found nothing. I will catch up to you in a few minutes. He told her that he would wait and lowered himself back to the sandy bank next to the river.
