Not sure if anyone mentioned this one:

The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein

Great bit of history on the development of Problem Reaction Solution (she calls it "disaster capitalism"). The first or second chapter is about MKUltra and is used as a lead in to the rest of world economic history. I'm enjoying it immensely, despite the fairly unpleasant information which is presented in the first half. Hoping it gets to more "solutions" but it certainly opens your eyes, and uses documented historical evidence to make the case.

“I am not from the East
or the West, not out of the ocean or up
from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not
composed of elements at all. I do not exist,
am not an entity in this world or the next,
did not descend from Adam or Eve or any
origin story. My place is placeless, a trace
of the traceless. Neither body or soul.
I belong to the beloved, have seen the two
worlds as one and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that
    breath breathing human being.”

The most important book you could read in my opinion is "Three Magic Words" It will truly change your life.
I think anything i could tell you about it would not do it justice.
    "No New Taxes"?

george greens handbook series , thought they were a load of tosh and tried to de bunk them. spent six months trying ,it was funny coincidences at first (or that's what i put it down to)but as i continued it became uncomfortably obvious that what was happening was very real.
so halfway through my life i found i had to discard most of what i thought i knew and start again.

    thanks george.......i think ?

Most Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett books are absolutely essential to perfect your cynical approach to day to day life and better understand basic human stupidity:
-Hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy series
    -Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency
    -The Discworld series

On p2 of this thread, Dragonfly recommended "The Gods of Eden" by William Bramley.

"William Bramley" seems to be a pseudonym for Tore Dahlin, an excommunicated scientologist. I agree with others that he gratuitously injects his own (?) homespun beliefs about spirituality and God, which mars an otherwise interesting book. Read the book then read these links about him:

Tore Dahlin appeared on one of the Ancient Aliens episodes, can't recall which one or which name he used for himself.

Strat, not necessarily for you, but certainly for anyone who might still be coming to terms with what might actually be possible in our world and what is 'impossible', dysinformation, or mere hoax. And certainly revealing for anyone you know who is just breaking free from the world-view they were brought up with. This book, recommended by Dr Stanislav Grof (surely one of the greatest of modern researchers), can open almost anyone's mind:

    'The field', By Lynn McTaggart

    http://www.amazon.com/Field-Quest-Se.../dp/0060931175

And these two, IMO, are ultra critical when it comes to getting your personally derived efffluent into an advanced state of order.

Journey of Souls, and Destiny of Souls, Both by Michael Newton. What is REALLY bizarre, is that if you go to find 'journey of souls' on goggle and then search books of that title..and then click on the Google book link, a book on Teenage Witchcraft comes up in it's stead! I had to keep trying different ways to get to the correct preview pdf.

    http://books.google.ca/books?id=P61u...page&q&f=false
The preview is the first 56 pages, which is a considerable amount of data.

    http://books.google.ca/books?id=6Cvb...0souls&f=false
This preview is the first 77 page of the book.

I am presently reading the Thiaoouba Prophecy (Abduction to the 9th planet). ALL I can say about the book is "WOW". It sure opened my eyes and answered a lot of questions about the mystery's of our planet Earth and the human race. I started reading it and couldn't put it down.
