You will find 10s of videos about the same fear porn with no reference to any specific event in 28 May 2016.
Such as this video interview with Ron Paul for example:

Ron Paul has given us solutions to our economic problems which can easily be blamed on our corrupt government.

What did you hear in this particular video that mentions May 28th? This is just Ron mentioning the reality of a centrally planned economy running on fiat money. It will eventually collapse, it is designed to collapse.

I've watched three of these videos now and no mention of May 28th. I guess the real mystery is where did May 28th come from and who is attaching it to all of these videos. Austrians do not give dates because human action can not be predicted, which is why it is wrong to try to control an economy with central planning.

I'd actually agree with that. This is not a rebuke! But there's a kind of line to be drawn, maybe, for us all (and this is far from a unique example)... if we all posted baseless scary unfounded predictions or statements we saw on YouTube, the forum would quickly be choked to death.

It is not quite choking to death but it is mired in repetitive conversations about things that will probably neverhappen. Nothing against Pathwalker, as I have seen him post some good threads. I've posted many threads about topics and groups I no longer agree with.

Instead of a 'No thanks' button (which could cause ill feeling), maybe posts with more thanks could be bumped to the top of new posts, or something. Just an idea.

Most of these "May 28" collapse videos are posted on one of a few Youtube channels, such as Economy News Today or Money News.

Both of the above two Youtube channels were created ("joined", on their Youtube "about" page) on Dec 22, 2015.

The videos on these channels, with various "May 28" titles, which I viewed were re-uploaded older videos, some from three years ago, with no, none, zip, zadda zilch mention of May 28, 2016 in the video content. That channel was just taking existing Youtube financial videos and reuploading them, changing the video title to a new scary title mentioning May 28.

Either someone is messing with our heads, or someone has a messed up head of their own, or someone is just posting click bait to see how many hits they can get ... or some combination thereof.

... it all seems to me to be a total waste of our time, except to demonstrate once again how easy it is to (at least momentarily) hook into the fear center of our brain.

Believe what we will, but a global debt of $555 Trillion can never be resolved, ever. There must be a day of reckoning. It must collapse and likely by design. As you say, it could be many things. It appears fruitless to spend time trying to make sense out of these kinds of YouTube videos. This particular video I found quite interesting, because I thought Ron Paul made some pretty good points overall in absolute terms. I do agree about what he said, so many things are so upside down. Apartments increase in value because money loses value, so then the price is driven to a level that requires a loan from the bank that a normal guy on the street with a normal salary cannot pay off in a life time, yet at the same time there is no signs of inflation anywhere. It makes absolutely no sense. What makes sense though is that these kinds of things do not make it more difficult for the "slave owners" to control "the slaves". It appears to be this grand illusion played out against all people to make them all suffer. So to keep people distant from this truth, you have all kinds of fake things going on at the top layers there to distract, confuse, keep them busy etc. It's deceiving. But I am seeing a "different force" that is there for you and I, who is there in truth and love - on our side. This force is beyond the fake and is at an incredible intelligence level at the core of the physical manifestation process, that locks into your "truth being". That's the key, to be in truth.

I am so annoyed about campaigns like that and all the other hoax/meme BS that I am thinking of developing a browser extension that detects it via a content fingerprint and displays debunk/explanation links automatically every time such a meme is detected in the browser.

Doing the content fingerprint is a lot of work and needs some server infrastructure. Maybe that could be crowd funded.

The links and comments for the videos/images would be crowd sourced too. Although no central authority, but allow for different opinions. Just show those opinions automatically for a video/image that deserves those.

I find it very hard to believe a lot of what is posted on YouTube, to me it is FEAR PORN and just people trying to get a lot of likes and people to sign up to the untruths they spill out to the waiting public.
Another bit of loyalty through FEAR.

another way to look at it is that the cabal is trying hard to saturate genuine leaks with ridiculous fake claims to events & dates. they been doing it for years and the result is that noone believes anything anylonger. the target is perhaps to make us all as disorientated as possible when the time comes.

And that is why REAL disclosers of truth should either be fully committed or silent until they have the courage and means to properly disclose their truth. Without logical and substantial evidence primed for that personal/collective experience…how can anyone of any worth and fortitude take any of it serious?
If the proponents of “said” truth can’t even assist in disclosure, yet they continue to make sly attempts to stimulate false beliefs about unconfirmed matters…how can you (anyone) not see this as devious intentions? Seriously…

View all recent topics/current events/news (here, there, everywhere). Now view the history of the presenter, view their contributions, view their characteristics, consider what they did and didn’t do for you, consider how much that has changed your views/actions/emotions/activities/services…now you should see how that has helped to lead you to a life of unjust servitude.

Another example can easily be seen in how all the disempowering, yet, unconfirmed fear porn is consumed and accepted much more than the empowering (yet still unconfirmed) material.
Many of us are deeply trained to be afraid… unaware at how we’re subconsciously projecting our hopelessness into reality…this can also be seen in most of the threads in this forum. A whole lot of claims of being happy and at peace...yet... you see so much despair, denial, deferment, dependency on others. How is that not a sign of conditioning? We're hardly representing a place of guidance for the blind seeker…as many blind seekers are grouped and outfitted with blinders, a saddle and left with carrots dangling in front of their faces. This all can easily be seen from a place of objective observation; Yes, and its quite startling witnessing some of these clever mind traps that are often setup by the victim instead of the hunter.

I can see how Youtube is being used for mind control. You click on a fear propaganda about a catastrophe on a certain date. A date is needed to generate anxiety and fear. The the sidebar has many more videos on the same date, probably with many added llikes. You can never forgot the date, and as the day approaches you become uneasy and agitated. Negative emotions are all they want from you.

Well there is a lot of talk of a crash. I don't think it is fear to let people know that things look worse than they did in '08. And considering what we did the last time, this time the scary tactics that are discussed in the old videos that some scammer is using to try to make money, could end up happening.

It seems to me that the May 28th date may have come from beforeitsnews. It's Putin of course.

I did a YouTube search on "28 may economic collapse", got 159 000 matches, but most were related to economic collapse in general. It appears lately someone is using multiple YouTube channels to bombard the public with some expectation on 28 may being the day of an economic collapse. Pretty obvious manipulation attempt by someone...
