Maybe Larry, the connecting dots and breadcrumbs can be found in posts 14, 15, 17, 19, and 20 - who profits from the oil market experiencing shortages? (those projects in Alberta are multi-billion dollar facilities) - China wanted the oil, Keystone pipeline to the US was prevented.. Saudi wants other producers to not make more than itself - sure sounds like it is a complex issue.. certainly if an oilfield the third largest in the world can be shut-down all the way, with as Ghostrider pointed out (two more major fires) maybe .. just maybe it would kick up prices soon enuf for the rest of the major oil producers.. just wondering as you. The major oil producers WANT a supply shortage..

I think those posts have enough bread crumbs as to the who and why.. Not hearing those dots coming together in MSM of course says something about what is and isn't being conjectured there.

    I just don't think we should rule out anything; but I tend to think if there was a meteor strike (it's non-conspiratorial) causing this I think this would've been printed in MSM;

what makes me so suspicious about this whole hideous event is that the MSM (as if we can trust it) has not stated any particular cause for this catasrophe (or did I miss something somewhere?); no lightning strikes, no suspicion of arson, no meteor strikes, etc. which makes me think there is something much deeper to all of this (most probably internal arson- but WHY?)-

I just find it incredibly strange the MSM has not yet stated one possible CAUSE for this debacle which makes me think there is something more to this catastrophe than we're being told- and it must be HUGE-

    please be well-

Russia offers water air tankers to Alberta to help fight the fire..

OTTAWA -- The Trudeau government has yet to respond to an offer by Russia to dispatch massive water bombers and fire fighting specialists to battle the growing inferno around Fort McMurray, Alta.

The proposal was made late last week by Vladimir Puchkov, the Russian minister of emergency measures.

A spokesman for Russia's embassy in Ottawa, Kirill Kalinin, said Sunday that they continue to stand "ready to help our Canadian partners to fight the ongoing wildfires in Alberta."

The offer involves sending converted Ilyushin Il-76 transport planes -- the kind occasionally leased by the Canadian military -- that can dump as much as "42 tons of fire retardant into fire spots," according to a statement on the web site of Russia's Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.

In addition, Moscow said it has "rescuers and specialists with necessary equipment" ready to help on the ground, if need be.

The not reporting of the cause of the fire does not seem to cause any concern. At least there should be words like "the cause of fire is under investigation". The PTB are becoming extremely confident of their manipulative tool of MSM . They want the people to believe everything told in the news and not raise any question. This is done by acclimatising them with stories that need no explanation and events that happen without any cause. You are in a dream state and in that state, there is no question or doubt or surprise. You accept anything that comes into being. Isn't that great and the ultimate goal for the PTB? One obvious example is the sudden appearance of ISIS. The immediate questions that must be answered are: Who is their leader? What is their ideology? Any manifesto? And isn't it a must for the leader to say something after a big operation? Even a Mr. nobody has a lot to say in social media and why is the leader so shy? For 911 there was at least the name Bin Laden, and he at least appeared in some fake videos. This guy I have no memory of his name, even though I am a regular observer of world events. That is the great irony of our time.

    Contrasts

Some in politics are focusing restarting up $$$ is key for Canada..

Hmm.. About the oil? (not the people??)

'Getting [oilsands] production back online as quickly as possible, it's important not just for the economy of this community but for the GDP of our country (Canada),' says interim Tory Leader Rona Ambrose.

"Once people can return, the focus should be on getting Fort McMurray oil back onto the market. Ambrose said global headlines about the fire, which has scorched more than 2,000 square kilometres, have spooked investors. "

Firefighters managed to save about 85 per cent of the structures in Fort McMurray.

It could take years to rebuild, and Ambrose said that should be the government's priority in the coming weeks and months.

Quote Bob Kuelieg, 63, said he's been living in his small SUV since Tuesday. He's on five medications after a hernia operation last winter and a heart attack in March. But he wanted to leave the cots inside for families.

"The Red Cross says they've raised over $50 million," Kuelieg said, sipping cold coffee from a Styrofoam cup. "They gave each of us $50. What am I supposed to do with that? I don't have a fridge, so I can't buy a lot of groceries. How long will I have to lay, in pain, in my car?"

Some solace of good news --- the city was mostly saved, with the vast majority of infrastructure and 80% of housing still intact. Considering the way the fire engulfed the entire perimeter of the city, the firefighters obviously did an outstanding job.

New satellite images show just how much damage the Fort McMurray wildfires are causing not just in Canada, but also thousands of miles away in the US.

With huge swathes of the Alberta forest ravaged by the fires, images from satellite operator DigitalGlobe show what Canadian authorities have been dealing with.

Although it may seem a given, this map of the area shows what NASA describes as “the unusual heat” generated by the fires.

The heat map shows how ground temperatures soared to 32 degrees Celsius (90 Fahrenheit) on May 3, when the fire was still in its infancy.

It’s not only the immediate area around Fort McMurray that has been affected though, as is clearly shown in this NASA image captured on Sunday.

This photo shows how the smoke has drifted thousands of km eastwards towards the Atlantic Ocean - even reaching the US east coast states of Maryland and Virginia.

    Quote

Meanwhile, British astronaut Tim Peake has tweeted jaw-dropping images from on board the International Space Station which also starkly reveal how far the wildfire smoke has drifted eastwards and now covers “vast areas of North America across to Atlantic coast”.

With the fire sweeping across more than 200,000 hectares (494,211 acres), more than 24,000 buildings have been destroyed and more than 80,000 people have been evacuated.

Footage from Fort McMurray gives a glimpse into just how catastrophic the fire has been in residential areas, and just what lies in store for some householders when they can eventually return home.

Putting out the fire isn’t the only concern for authorities in the area, however.

This image from NASA’s Aura satellite shows the high levels of nitrogen dioxide in the area. According to the US EPA even short-term exposure can have “adverse respiratory effects,” particularly among asthmatics, children, and the elderly.

    Some good news

Hundreds of pets that Fort McMurray evacuees were forced to leave behind are finally being rescued from the fire-ravaged community.

Peace officers from the Alberta SPCA and the Calgary Humane Society have been working tirelessly in Fort McMurray over the last two days to help Wood Buffalo Animal Control Services to remove all of the animals abandoned in the city-wide exodus.

The critters are being transported down Highway 63, and will be cared for at an emergency holding facility in Edmonton until they are healthy enough to return to their owners.

The first truckload of more than 200 dogs and cats arrived in Edmonton early Monday morning.

More exotic pets like snakes, gerbils and guinea pigs will soon follow in the next round of caravans.

Anyone who was forced to abandon their pet during the evacuation of the Fort McMurray area should ensure they have filled out the Emergency Pet Rescue Request form.

Larger critters turned loose are starting to be found largely unscathed..

Many were moved to the Tower Road site north-west of the city, as flames spread towards the southeast. The changing winds carried embers in a 360 degree path and firefighters were doing their best to stop flare-ups.

On Monday, Alberta RCMP and animal rescuers were able to retrieve some of the horses in the city, and had found some horses grazing in part of town which were not ravaged by the fires, and others wandering around in a grocery store.

Where many horses were housed, most of the barns at the Clear Water Horse Club had been destroyed.

Quote Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says while the images are heartbreaking,
some statistics should provide a bit of comfort to residents: All schools were saved and only 10% of the structures in town were decimated.

"I'm told we lost about 2,400 structures," Notley told reporters. "We've saved over 25,000."

Allen says firefighters worked to stop the fire from ravaging downtown, and many buildings, including homes, businesses, schools and the hospital were saved.

Wildfire continues - OilCamp workers who were harboring in place NORTH of Fort McMurray, have been forced today to evacuate - the evacuation order extends up to 30 Miles North of Ft. McMurray.

Quote Around 12,000 people have been urged to leave Canada's oil sands camps near the fire-hit town of Fort McMurray as a resurgent wildfire heads towards them.

A regional official told the BBC that 8,000 people were given precautionary evacuation orders late on Monday, in addition to some 4,000 who had already been advised to leave.

More than 80,000 people fled the fire that hit Fort McMurray two weeks ago.

Restarting the oil fields, something that the Canadian Government wanted as well as the Oil Companies isn't apparently going to happen in the immediate future.. The intent was to get people back to Ft. McMurray to the homes which were remaining unscathed.. However, the fire has had a mind of itself.. It's turned Northward.

Quote Rapidly changing winds brought Alberta’s huge wildfire to the perimeter of two of the oldest and largest of Canada’s oil sands complexes on Tuesday, posing a new threat to an industry that just a day earlier had been preparing to resume full-scale operations.

And hopes that residents of the city of Fort McMurray, or at least those whose houses were not destroyed, might soon be able to return similarly waned. While the huge firestorm’s new path largely bypassed the city on Monday night and early Tuesday, two explosions added an additional 10 houses to the tally of destruction. An estimated 2,400 buildings have been destroyed, officials said.

As the raging blaze, now more than a week old, turned north, skirting the western edge of Fort McMurray on Monday afternoon and evening, a series of small camps holding about 600 oil sands workers were evacuated.
By midday on Tuesday, the provincial government said that just eight employees remained at Suncor and 78 at Syncrude. In normal times, up to 7,400 people work at Syncrude, producing up to 350,000 barrels of oil a day. Most of the holdouts are members of the two companies’ fire brigades.

Chad Morrison, the head of Alberta’s wildfire service, said that the fire was now close to the Syncrude and Suncor oil sands plants. As it made its way there overnight on Monday, the flames devoured a 665-room work camp that had been evacuated hours earlier.

    It's not good. Ouch..

Still growing ... 423,000 hectares now, still encroaching on oilsands facilities.

At least Ft Mcmurray is now in the clear -- with a natural firebreak all around it - the fire can't come back now ... however it still continues to grow and spread ...

Quote The Fort McMurray wildfire in northern Alberta is carving a new path of destruction, destroying an oilsands camp while racing eastward toward more industry sites.

The fire, which has become known as "the beast," grew by a staggering 57,000 hectares in the last 24 hours, consuming 423,000 hectares of boreal forest as of Wednesday morning.

Wildfire information officer Travis Fairweather attributes the "pretty significant" growth to "extreme fire conditions."
"It's really being burning intensely and the winds have been carrying it," he said Wednesday.
The fire forced 8,000 non-essential workers to flee the area Monday night, and a mandatory evacuation order remains in place for all work camps north of the city.

Dare we ask if geo-engineering could be at fault? We know that rain/drought can be 'resolved' on a whim....
If anyone has access to these technologies, why aren't they quenching the fires and destruction of a vast industry?
Unless, it's all for profit...... And therefore the trashing of our environment seems to be 'fair game' for these giant corporate globalist asset-strippers - why are we allowing this?

The latest Canadian Wildland Fire Information System map suggests the Fort McMurray fire has entered Saskatchewan at two points. However, the Saskatchewan government says the southern part is actually a brand new fire that crews are currently battling. (Canadian Wildland Fire Information System)

The massive forest fire surrounding Fort McMurray, Alta., is now confirmed to have crossed the border into Saskatchewan.

According to Alberta fire information officer Travis Fairweather on Thursday morning, the fire is now estimated to be 483,084 hectares in size and is confirmed to have expanded east of the border.

Stepped outside this morning, noticed the very odd looking overcast, and smelled distant smoke in the air.. Not like campfires, but a sinister acid-like smell, reminding me what it is like when lava from a volcano is consuming wood and structure - earthy, acid-like..

Above is a smoke distribution map where it has traveled from the Fort McMurray incident.

No doubt the smoke particles are going to affect the weather, (maybe health)..
