Default Interview with Peter Moon about Qi Gong

    Hey everybody!

I had the chance to interview Peter Moon, maybe you know him as author of books concerning the Montauk Project. I stumbled upon him, as Bill recommended one of his books (The Montauk book of the dead) for a balanced view about Scientology. So thanks go out to you, Bill!

    Interview breakdown:

Peters journey from Montauk to Qi Gong
History of this Qi Gong tradition
    Energy facilitation
    Breathing
    The darkroom
    Primordial Mind
Bathrooms and their gender - LGBT
    Homosexual magick – velvet Mafia
    Scientology – what´s triggering?
4 Pillars of Qi Gong – vital breath, chi belt
    The Song

    enjoy and cheers
    Christoph

Qi Gong is very useful. BK Frantzis is a good practitioner. Sun Lu Tang (pictured) is one of my favourite historical Tai Chi personalities. Been meaning to get back into it as I've had some backache recently, from too much computer time. it will be interesting to see how Peter links QiQong to the other subjects mentioned, as I know practicing it can unlock many abilities.

I've always been attracted to Chen Style:

Thanks to you too, and good job.

For further reference, the book I'd recommended to Christoph was The Montauk Book of the Dead — a commendably accurate and balanced autobiographical account of Peter Moon's time in the Church of Scientology back in the days before the Church was taken over.

It's a dreadful title — but a VERY informative book for anyone interested in what things were really like in the 'Sea Org' of the Church of Scientology back in the 1970s.

Thanks Bill for the correct title

As he mentions in the interview, he is currently in the process of writing a new book titled "L. Ron Hubbard and the (T)Dao of Insanity" that´s gonna be about Hubbard and Power. Power of the individual.

what I want to underline, why I was so interested in this kind of Qi Gong.
It seems that Peter´s teacher is only the second male in this tradition to have been taught this style, before him and his teacher it were only women.
And he seems to have a no holds barred approach, meaning he´s giving you everything, all the secrets that are often retained to consolidate the power of the ruling circle. Peter describes in one of his books (The Montauk Book of the Living) that chinese masters approached his teacher (Roosevelt Gainey) and said he should stop teaching all the secrets, but his answer was only:
    "Try to stop me!"

Thank you for a fascinating interview; I was really struck by the phrase, . . ." serve their purpose to the morphogenetic grid", with reference to those of us who live quiet, unquestioning lives (a kinder notion than sheeple).

I think his teacher studied it, but don´t know for sure how or if it´s related.

Thank you for the interview! It's good to know that so many young people are becoming more interested in spiritual growth and sharing their discoveries on the Internet.

I've always been interested in qi gong but have not taken any classes, yet. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to learn via YouTube videos? I want to start practicing the basics so I can be more mindful of what fits me best when the time comes to choose a class.

I know google is my friend but if someone can lead me to some of the exercises Peter Moon was speaking about, or any other videos that would be useful for a beginner, it would be much appreciated.
    ISness is my business..

reminds me of me week awake ,. fasting and meditation , was eliminating some background sabotage stuff , then all this dragon related stuff started unpackjing, a whole system of self diagnosis of body and eneregetics , energy meridians, how to assess food to ascertain beneficial effect on body , a mention of the divine golden energy meridian system that was in the process of unpacking from within the human energetic structure ( not sure exactly how that works) was shown so much , just not able to access a lot of it right now
was also introduced to , old power words , single syllable that were like components , each had thier vibration and one could be used to " unpack the rest " feeling the vibration and fine tuning with repetition, lot of breath work too

there was a presence ( all i got was " the physician" ) was shown how to tap into the energy meridians at two points to isolate an evasive energy pattern or program to remove it and introduce a more beneficial energetic
how to analyse elements or components to infuse to restore "correct" function

lots i don't understand in me current state but was just so natural and obvious at the time ( must mention week awake involved no drugs cos it was clarity i was seeking )

Thank you for this very informative interview. I did not know of Peter Moon, but now I do.

The standing exercise he mentions sounds like the horse stance. Master C.K. Chu taught the correct way just as Peter mentions. He has a book on Amazon that teaches the basic ten poses for qi kong. But he calls it nei Kung for internal energy work, which is the foundation for qi Kong.

Peter wants to do some videos in the future. The video side of Roosevelt (bodyenergetics) is currently not working, but there are not a lot of videos anyways.

As far as I know peter will publish some videos about the Qi Gong soon.

Bruce is a difficult personality, but he has information and technique that are rare if not unique. I've been studying his Dragon and Tiger form with one if his senior teachers for many years. Bruce brought forms and information out of China that were forbidden to be taught to foreigners. His Master, Liu Hung Chieh, could have potentially faced severe consequences for teaching a westerner, but he had a broader purpose for doing so.

Bruce is a Lineage Holder in the Wu style. His site is http://www.energyarts.com/

Yes, Bruce can be difficult, like you said... but he's done a lot for people's health. I did Wu Style with a friend when I was younger. I read the stories about Liu Hung Chieh and liked them.

I have been doing his Dragon Tiger Qi Gung for over a year which I learnt through the website course. My neck and shoulder problems have totally cleared up. I find I do get weary of Bruce's presentation style, but he has a lot to offer

Oh man I typed it up and must of closed it grrrrrr. Ok I'm going to type again but maybe a bit shorter. I learned manipulation of chi. I learned to use it in combination with stances. One was pushing your butt inwards towards your groin, while bending the knees and having your feet x amount apart. This in combination with correct breathing and visualising and directing chi to the ground - as if you are one with the ground (like a tree). This is a technique for stability. My former instructor can do it so well, you cannot move him. I ran at him and tried so many other ways I could only move his shoulders, but nothing else.

We did other training, like developing chi with breathing (dan tian https://www.acufinder.com/Acupunctur...+to+the+Center). We practised moving against one another's hands whilst sitting down, using only our chi to create minimal force. I was also taught to sense my surroundings with chi, which my instructor can do very well, but it didn't last on me.. I think this medication I was taking really made it hard for me to develop chi properly, as this chi technique only worked for me when I forgot my medicine. Thank god I'm off that now.

My instructor was Dr Stephen Barton. He trained me for many years as a mentorship. He helped me a lot with learning about people and about what you talk about, how martial art isn't just about technique, it is about common sense and learning to avoid conflict if it isn't necessary. He is a very very smart person. He doesn't train people for a business, I don't think he even trains people at all right now.

I do not remember where he learned this, but it might have been the wing chun academy. He knows a lot of renowned people, including Nino Pilla and introduced me to him and Dan Inosanto at a group training event.

Oh people think I make this stuff up, or that I was tricked to believe the stuff I learned is real. It is just the typical people that are just still brainwashed by comfy lifestyles and think there is nothing more to the world.

hey thanks for your response. As I find out now with these approach it's really about the details.

Side anecdote I learned of today.
Actually Sifu Gainey and BK Francis met, as Bk went out to Coney Island where they usually train, and then just hugged Sifu and said there should be more teacher like him.
some time before that a student of BK showed up and told them they should do stuff different and that they are wrong, but he was then easily overcome by Sifu's students.

Default Re: Interview with Peter Moon about Qi Gong

I'm a big Qigong guy, been practicing Stillness Movement Neigong as taught by Michael Lomax for about six years now.

Initially I started out focused more on visualization/concentration exercises and a desire to astral project, but what I learned over time is that starting out with third eye type practices can be very unbalancing, especially for an intellect heavy Westerner who already has too much energy locked in their head. Qigong helps counter that with lots of grounding and transformation of the body's consciousness.
