    Orlando, Florida (CNN)

The suspect in the Pulse nightclub shooting in Florida is dead, Orlando Police said. Authorities described the shooting as a "mass casualty situation."

Gunfire erupted at a gay nightclub in Orlando early Sunday, with multiple injuries reported, Florida authorities said.

"Everyone get out of Pulse and keep running," the club posted on its Facebook page about 2 a.m. ET.

Orlando police warned residents to stay away from the area, and urged people not to call their offices. They declined to provide the number of casualties, saying details will be available later.

"This is a fluid scene and we are working on getting you an update," police said.
    'Just bang, bang, bang!'

Pulse describes itself as "the hottest gay bar" in the heart of Orlando.
Hours before the shooting, the club urged partygoers to attend its "Latin flavor" event Saturday night.

Jovial, well-dressed crowds heeded the call in an event that turned into a nightmare.
"It was just, bang, bang, bang!" partygoer Christopher Hansen said of the gunfire.
Ricardo Negron Almodovar said he was in the club when the shooting started about 2 a.m. He barely escaped.

"People on the dance floor and bar got down on the floor and some of us who were near the bar and back exit managed to go out through the outdoor area and just ran," he posted on the club's Facebook page.

"I am safely home and hoping everyone gets home safely as well."

Anthony Torres, who was at the club with friends, said he heard shots as he hurriedly drove off.

"The shots did not sound like a regular handgun, it sounded like it was shooting repetitively and it wouldn't stop," he said.

"So we knew what it was and we left there pretty quick. It was over 70 cop cars that were arriving there ... It happened so quick that people got separated from each other."
Tearful relatives waited outside the club as police cars blinked in the background. Some implored the media to help them get word on their loved ones.

' I saw just a lot of people screaming'

The gunshots echoed beyond the club.

Jose Torres was clocking in to work at the Dunkin' Donuts across the street when he heard them.

"It was something that I never heard before," Torres said. "I had to run inside the store, and I saw just a lot of people screaming, crying. Just screaming and coming out running like crazy."

Torres said he ducked into the Dunkin' Donuts and called 911 as several people dashed out of the club, bleeding. Police and SWAT teams rushed to the scene.
"They don't let nobody in or out," he said. "The SWAT team is inside there."
FBI agents were also assisting at the scene, agency spokeswoman Amy Pittman said.
Authorities have conducted a controlled explosion near the nightclub, according to Orlando Police.

Tom Fuentes, a CNN law enforcement analyst, said controlled explosions are used to breach a door or when a subject is barricaded in a room and police want to use a stun grenade to temporarily freeze their central nervous system.

    Hospitals on lockdown
Authorities urged caution as police officers hovered nearby with weapons and dogs.
A few miles away, the Orlando Regional Medical Center was placed on lockdown, the hospital said in a statement. Only essential workers are being allowed access into the building.

Arnold Palmer Hospital and Winnie Palmer Hospital are also on lockdown out of an abundance of caution, officials said.

CNN's John Couwels reported from Orlando, and Faith Karimi reported and wrote from Atlanta. CNN's Vivian Kuo and Deborah Bloom contributed to this report

Quote Singer shot to death in Orlando as chaos spreads

Christina Grimmie, a rising singing star who gained fame as a YouTube sensation and a contestant on television’s “The Voice,” was shot dead while signing autographs for fans after a concert in Orlando, police said on Saturday.

Grimmie, 22, was greeting fans along with members of the band Before You Exit after a performance on Friday at the Plaza Live music venue when a gunman approached and opened fire shortly before 10:30 p.m., police said.

The unnamed suspect, whose motive was not immediately known, shot himself and died at the scene after Grimmie’s brother Mark tackled him, preventing injury to others, the Orlando Police Department said in a statement.

The singer was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and died from her injuries early on Saturday morning.

“Christina was a talented young artist and we know that her fans and supporters want as much information as possible,” the police statement said. “We will continue to update as the investigation unfolds.”

A New Jersey native, Grimmie first drew attention several years ago for her YouTube videos featuring covers of pop songs. In 2014, she placed third on the “The Voice,” a singing competition on NBC, with Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine as her coach.

Fans took to social media to pay tribute to the singer, using the hashtag #RIPChristina.

“There are no words,” said “The Voice” in a Twitter post early on Saturday. “We lost a beautiful soul with an amazing voice.”

This is the result of access to weapons, when it snaps it's a disaster.

Guns should be illegal for all, but the military should de-weaponize first. De-weaponization should happen from big guns to small guns, in that order.

Whenever these awful things occur, I wonder which ones are truly caused by some lone nut gunman and which are orchestrated events. The government(s) seem to call almost all gun related mass shootings terrorist attacks these days as if it would somehow fit their agenda. Whatever that may be besides spreading fear and wanting to control people.

Actually, this is the result of LACK OF WEAPONS - and it was a disaster.
If the audience were armed, the shooter would not have had a target rich environment. Most likely, he would not have even risked attacking.

It's both lack of and too many.

But more than that it's a twist a stressing, a forcing and fire under the lives of people, a falseness, a hidden slavery and pressuring...as forced upon them by a hidden oligarchy.

The cumulative aspects of the skewing of life and the world... by a group of hidden sociopaths... who use the world as their gaming field as they vie for power and control.

Go after the hidden layers of psychos and sociopaths... and all our problems, big and small, would begin to dissipate.

Never bother with any of this at the surface level, always go directly for the man behind the curtain. Otherwise none of this will ever stop, it will only get worse.

Mass shooting in Orlando gay nightclub: About 20 dead, 42 injured, ‘act of domestic terrorism’

By Ian Greenhalgh on June 12, 2016

    http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/06...tic-terrorism/

Young Afghan-American Moslem slaughters gays in Florida, it all sounds like it was designed to inflame feelings against Islam, oh how predictable

    pulse-orlando-shooting

This tragic incident has several hallmarks of being a false flag attack; the shooter being a young Muslim, the FBI ‘checking’ to see if he has links with extremists, the shooter already dead and unable to answer any questions. It’s all too familiar. The fact it was a gay club may also be significant, given the current hoo-hah in the US political arena over LGBT issues.

Since the initial reports, the shooter has been identified as US citizen Omar Mateen from Florida. 300x300

The suspect behind the gay nightclub shooting in Orlando, which left dozens dead and injured, has been identified as Omar Mateen, the CBS network reported, citing sources. The channel added that the FBI is currently checking if he was linked to extremists.

A correspondent from the WFTV channel said Mateen was 27 years old and was from Port St. Lucie in Florida, nearly 150km from Orlando.

According to reports on social media, he was born to Afghan parents.

Quite frankly, this is almost certainly an event designed to provoke further anti-Islamic feeling in the US and judging by the sort of stupid, ill-informed and hate-filled commentary that is already appearing on various websites reporting on this story, it is an easy sell. This comment, the byline to an article on the shooting is sadly typical of the nonsense flooding the interwebs:

His level of preparation indicates an intention to demonstrate his profound devotion to Allah during Ramadan.

Since when was Ramadan about killing people? How is committing murder showing devotion to Allah? This is just ludicrous nonsense written by someone who is either completely ignorant of Islam or is willfully telling nefarious lies in order to demonise Islam and Moslems.

Mass shooting in Orlando gay nightclub: About 20 dead, 42 injured, ‘act of domestic terrorism’

A mass shooting has taken place in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. About 20 people have been killed and at least 42 taken to hospitals, police said, adding that a SWAT team killed the shooter.

The incident took place at the Pulse nightclub.

“This can be classified as a domestic terror incident,” Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said.

“Approximately” 20 people were killed and at least 42 people have been taken to local hospitals, Orlando Sheriff John Mina said at a press conference, adding that the shooter was wearing some “type of device.”

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer added that “many lives were lost.”

Nearly 320 people were inside the nightclub at the time of the shooting.

Police said on Twitter that the shooter inside the nightclub is dead. The sheriff also confirmed the attacker was killed by a SWAT team. He was armed with an assault rifle and a handgun, officials said.

The Orange County sheriff called the nightclub shooting an “act of domestic terrorism.”

“At this time we’re looking at all angles right now,” an FBI official said.

He was asked if the shooter might have possible connections with extremists. “We do have suggestions that that individual may have leanings towards that particular ideology [extremism]. But right now we can’t say definitively so we’re still running everything around,” he added.

Twitter users said they heard multiple gunshots in the area.

One more witness, Brett Moots, told the New York Daily News that he saw people “being taken away with bullet wounds [to] their arms and abdomen.”

According to a reporter from the Orlando News, the shooter was wearing a bomb.

Pulse nightclub wrote on Facebook: “Everyone get out of Pulse and keep running.”

People took to Facebook to share information on the shooting. Under the Pulse club post they wrote that the attacker had an assault rifle and was barricaded inside with hostages.

Javer Antonetti, who went to the club with his brother, told Orlando News that he heard many shots. He managed to escape, but his brother, who was on crutches, remained in the building. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said. “Police told me he’s safe but he’s still stuck back there.”

“Everyone was getting on the floor,” another witness, Rosie Feba added. “I thought it was just part of the music, until I saw fire coming out of his gun.”

Apparently the shooter was a LICENSED registered Security Agent. Authorized to have assault weapons, probably legally as part of his "job"..

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/06/12...nightclub.html

Quote The gunman was identified as Omar Mateen

A licensed security officer, Mateen also had a Statewide Firearms License
Had people been armed (Florida does allow private handguns), someone may have been able to stop Mateen before he killed and injured so many people.

The real problem is the way human beings think , of you don't believe like me , I must kill you to rid the world of evil mentality... Religion enslaves so many to a life of suffering... The so called spiritual people think killing, war. Death, destruction, suffering is spiritual... Nope fruits of the spirit are love, peace kindness patience, longsuffering. Temperance. Meekness freedom, understanding ... The religious leaders have corrupted the thinking patterns of the masses... its not a gun issue, for a person determined to do evil will use any tool available... the answer is earth humans learning the true past concerning Muhammad and Immanuel and the sons of heaven, who they really were and their message of peace, love, harmony and freedom, its always corrupted by evil men to control other men who thirst for power and might, that mentality keeps re-incarnating here on earth, its up to us together to evolve above that madness, move beyond old thinking patterns and allow the man in the mirror to be responsible for himself, and not follow evil powers...

What I'm surprised by, is that Florida is a "concealed carry" state, and that there was not a small group of armed employees or whatnot, at the club itself. For instance, kitchen staff or DJ's, office people, and so on, with immediate access. A club of any nature..in a concealed carry state... makes such thinking and planning a norm, prudent, and I daresay... obvious.

All that surveillance in there and yet they couldn't have stopped even this attack. People are being played like a damn fiddle. It's not just the religions nor the insane culture, there are also hidden powers at play. News like these will be bombarded to our consciousness and then some things like Hillary's email & Benghazi scandal won't get as much attention as they should. They know exactly how psychology works and use it to their advantage with the help of the mainstream media. These things have been happening for years if not decades now and it's sickening. People are being lied to and their consciousness and attention is being directed to a certain direction, it's like a mind virus.

I'm not saying this couldn't be a real genuine extremist attack, but I always have my suspicions about these things.
