MERCURY & VENUS at CRITICAL DEGREE
    https://angstoic.com/2020/09/mercury...itical-degree/

"Accomplishing the incredible will be no accident.

The imminent shift in the polarity of the mind/heart vectors will see us stepping up the game, at least for the sake of our own amusement. ☿♎ will switch us to more aesthetic thinking, bring better judgement and discrimination, tactful moves and a clever sense of form, balance and symmetry in discussion. Matched by ♀♌, we feel a greater confidence, big generous heart, and an appetite for daring love games and playful flirtf---ery."

Cosmic Bus Lunation Report [episode #2037] – Gemini Quarter Moon

"Going into the Last Quarter Moon, both Sun and Moon become immersed in Neptune's sea of psychic sensitivity, and information becomes difficult to decipher, boundaries blurred and it gets almost impossible to make a clear, rational decision.

Meanwhile, the organised world of law and order seems to be crowding us with all kinds of peer-pressure, to which we will either rashly react or respond accordingly.

There's something huge happening here, all you need do is keep it in perspective. At least keep your head out...

Enjoy a short excerpt from today's episode:"

    Smeared Lenses: THE WEEK AHEAD:
    Sep 7-13
    https://angstoic.com/2020/09/smeared...head-sep-7-13/

"Nobody can deny that our world is going a little ‘nuts’ these days. Our ‘informed’ societies have slowly descended into such a state of absurdity and cognitive disorder that it now seems an impossible task to both ignore or bring things back into some semblance of the cohesive sensibility we used to know and love. Who can predict which way things will turn out when so much of what we hear seems distorted by our own inability to see things clearly?

Is it because of a worldwide, silent, invisible disease that could kill any of us at any time and destroy the lives we assumed were so solid? Are we not, after all, the most technologically advanced humans of all time? How can we possibly be so vulnerable to being randomly annihilated by a virus, or by raging state-wide fires, flash floods, or random law-enforcement accidents or the actions of a crazed fellow human? Surely those things only happen to others, in those other countries or past regimes – merely statistics on the evening news or in our history books.

No matter how hard we try, we can’t ignore the very real possibility that our busy, money-centred, denatured routines are taking a severe hit. We are being forcibly reminded of this everywhere now. This current, 2020-state-of-emergency absurdity is not so sudden to us, however. It has merely escalated gradually to critical proportions ever since Pluto swung into Capricorn in 2008.

Pluto in this cardinal earth sign has come to show us how naive and obnoxiously ambitious it is of us to assume that we have been granted any level of immortality. Perhaps it is our obsession with status, money, rejection of joy and gratitude and our predilection to cynically moralise and judge everything to the point of schadenfreude which has reduced much of our humanity to a genuine hardness of heart.

Since Saturn and Jupiter also entered this harshly existential sign, we are each slowly coming to terms with the fact that perhaps there is no escape from our human frailty; that death is indeed life’s one inescapable ‘underlying condition’ and our susceptibility to sudden death can absolutely and all at once render our lives perfectly meaningless. Nobody who assumes to be even 20% ‘awakened’ to any ‘alternative’ or ‘higher’ state of consciousness, especially those more ‘spiritual’ types, can deny that the human race is now facing its most serious dilemma yet – one where extreme disintegration of our species (or at least the fear of such an outcome) can bring out the absolute worst, most rotten side of human nature.

As they square Eris, the genie of strife and discord has been let out of the bottle and there’s just no way that we can put it back. Perhaps in our self-centered arrogance, we merely forgot to be modest, thinking that everything is possible for us, that we are exceptional, that we can continue to do business the way we always have, make arrangements to travel and attend rallying campaigns, express extreme political opinions. How dare anything or anyone negate our retirement plans, cancel our journeys and strip us of our right to debate? Did we put all our eggs in one basket?

We are completely nuts… at our wit’s end. Our planet has gone insane and out of control and this online obsession we are having with idle gossip and malignant or unproven assertions, presenting unverified ‘facts’ and splodgy statistics as ‘gospel’, is descending humankind itself into an instrument of propaganda. It is certainly not reporting. It is a mania to corrupt and minimise the reputation of anyone who professes to be an authority on anything. Certainly, those who know understand what the real epidemic is here. It is our infatuation with partisan media and its flagrant attempts to manipulate us.

On some level it is understandable. Pluto’s deathly stranglehold over Saturn (straight-laced convention) and Jupiter (religiosity and academic law) have this year generated an uncompromising urge to try to rationalise and synthesize what is accepted as known ‘science’ into some form of an official narrative. Those who try to assume order and control by trying to discredit and eliminate all things abstract and abstruse seem increasingly polarising. Much of what we hear from others does not measure up under closer scrutiny. And, in the strictest sense of empirical analysis and investigation, they do not. We are in a period of utter chaos and confusion.

It is possible that, at heart, we all consider ourselves to be honest human beings in the sense that we don’t intentionally go around lying to people. Except… in so far as we ourselves are not willing to face the truth. This doesn’t make us deceptive, but it does mean that sometimes, for the sake of convenience, we indulge in going along with things that aren’t true. That’s what happens when we are not fully in possession of the truth and not willing to engage in the rigours of finding out whether or not what we are about to say is the truth.

The sad reality is that, whether we are lying to ourselves or to others, the alternatives are difficult. For often, to tell the truth, to change our opinions, to alter our actions when it doesn’t fit neatly into our preconceived plans or with our character could prove catastrophic and humiliating. Hence, we appear to be prisoners of our own hubristic ego-complexes.

The shrewdly analytical Virgo Sun’s sympathetic alliance to this harshly existential agenda that is going on in the ambitious Capricorn only lends credence and jurisdiction to any personal or ‘state-sanctioned’ campaign to pervert and distort any inconsistencies and deviations to our official narrative. And I say “our” not “theirs”. Our governments and other patriarchal institutions are only there because we keep supporting them, counting on them to provide us with social structure and purpose. Virgo sometimes refuses to see the forest for the trees. It harps on details, statistics and minutiae and holds a most short-sighted view in spite of the whole picture.

In short, the side of us which wants things to stay orderly and predictable is struggling with accepting all the possible unknowns and mysteries that are fiendishly encircling our globe in the form of disease, aeons of social disparity and human rights violations, wild political unrest, intellectual muddling and confusion of data, public character-smearing, schadenfreude and the ominous threat of emerging economic imbalances and currency collapse. Of course, one would argue that these uncertainties have always been present, but it is our growing awareness of these which is now reaching epidemic proportions.

This week’s story begins in the midst of the outer-planet chaotic swirl that now appears markedly beyond the steady reins of any one individual (or party).

If you are of the kind who likes to keeps things under control, then you are likely pulled (or coerced) towards the extreme of passing harsh judgments and executing plans whose consequences could hold diabolical consequences to any future expectations. Extreme moves often result in equally extreme counter-movements.

For instance, few people are comfortable with accepting that there’s now really no hope of ever returning to some preconceived or historically-defined sense of social order. None of the political systems of the 20th century (democracy, socialism, communism, fascism, etc.) seem to be working today. The ‘old normal’ is now patently falling away, and to try to argue that we can replace it easily with a ‘new normal’ is also patently naive, or at least ignorant of the myriad of variables that are messing with our currently crumbling systems.

We all have our opinions on what must be done, but these often fall apart under any serious scrutiny or debate. Managing earthy resources is one thing, but to the opinionated freaks, psychic gurus and techno-geniuses out there, those who hold old-school power appear to be completely unscrupulous, authoritarian and insane. Which invites an equally as crazy opposing reaction. In between the two extremes of light and darkness lies the solution.

Unless you are somehow ‘centered’ and balanced in all of this, meaning that your interests are not too heavily invested in one or two specific outcomes for the ‘foreseeable future’, it might feel as though you’re irreconcilably torn between your delusional nostalgia for yesterday and some fancy dream (or dystopian nightmare) for what tomorrow may hold.

One thing is certain: Nothing is certain. Which leads all current expectation toward an unfortunate state of disappointment and despair.

So let’s take hold of this moment for a moment. Let’s look at the astrology:

The warring factions between the Capricorn sector, which seeks some sort of twisted, clandestine version of total domination of everything known (or else), versus Aries, whose fight is to at least protect the right to stay impulsive, do impulsive ****, whenever, wherever is starting to throw matters into a completely disjointed state of mid-cycle turbulence. We’re really only at the first-quarter phase of a two-year period of intense activity to reform our society and we have seriously hit a tumult.

Mars is currently getting red-hot as he slows down to retrograde. By Sep 9, the fiery god of war will reach 28°08′, almost the end of his domicile. Like leaving the iron on the hot coals for too long, these next few weeks will show our tempers flaring to white-heat levels."

MARS RETROGRADE: Kicking Oneself for Not Having Acted Appropriately

In Aries, Mars appears like he’s going to battle this out on his own, daring to go where no soul has ever gone before if only to test the limits of his own audacity. However, he is not alone there, for also near the end of Aries, at 24°24′, is his famously snubbed sister – Eris, goddess of Strife and discord. Eris has been at war with Pluto lately. It’s an extremely morbid duel, one which will continue well into the next couple of years, with the mantra of ‘evolve or die’ often manifesting in the most explicitly literal ways.

The Mars/Eris alliance is pivotal in the way the rest of this year pans out, and those feeling neglected, forgotten, snubbed or cancelled will beg for an extensive explanation as to what, where, why and how things are going to work out for them. Nobody wants to be left behind in the race for survival.

Meanwhile, many of us here are aware that the evolution of humankind is undergoing a massive, forced, mandatory upgrade, and we can squabble and fight all the way to the most advanced biometrics labs, vaccine clinics, technological engineering solutions, satellite surveillance systems and cashless currency agendas, but whether we go nicely with our most futuristic masks on, or get thrown into destitute hardship for resisting and wanting “rights” we may never have possessed in the first place, is irrelevant. In the end, we are all going to be faced with one very crucial decision – the choice in whether to evolve or to perish.

As his fervour intensifies through September, Mars’ impish resistance to being controlled and constrained is met with enormous social pressure, frustration, harsh judgments, ‘selfishness-guilt’ and state-applied inhibition at the mean hands of the apoplectic Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto stellium. In Capricorn, the peer pressure and “doing the right thing by society” has become a fear-sponsored tyranny, leading towards an environment of hyper-policing and super-shaming.

Following the T-square to Venus, the dehumanisation of natural, individual urges and interests such as intimacy, sex and the ability to see and touch one another from a place of instinctive love and affection seem quaint and irresponsible. With every new level of restriction, we are sensing the gradual obliteration of romance and spontaneity. Those of us who sympathise with the wave of collective fear and its increasingly hard-line measures are playing into a state-dominated tyranny somehow. This is how all great periods of global authoritarianism commence. Gradual forfeiting or denial of basic human liberties creates monsters which will devour us whole. This is one way of ‘liberating’ our individual souls.

Needless to say, with a stationing Mars (Wednesday), the individual urge to act impulsively could erupt into violent displays of anger. This could express itself either as domestic violence, street-brawling, or even widespread spontaneous rioting, which itself only succumbs to the auspices of martial-style laws and secret, systemic surveillance, which, due to its clandestine nature (Pluto is invisible to the naked eye), we might not even know is occurring.

“You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you mad.”
    ~ Aldous Huxley

As Mars comes to a station, so does Jupiter (Saturday). These two planets form a dead midpoint over Pluto this month, just as the Mars/Pluto midpoint sits on Saturn. These, and other similar midpoint pictures involving Eris are absolutely gruesome. Just observe how extreme or arbitrary applications of force expand into wildly subversive or vigilante activities, provoking legal and martial reactions within all sectors of society. Tremendous powers being used against one another calls for tougher, more extreme force. This is often the only way society changes, in drastic ways – through the application of brutal force. Needless to say, it can feel a little scary and traumatic, particularly if we get all caught up in it.

Meanwhile, the Mutable Last Quarter Moon in Gemini forms a tight T-square to Neptune, producing a heightened sense of awareness to the chaos and confusion that’s going on. Here, we observe that the more we try to analyse and decipher the news-reports, facts, numbers, data and information that are circulating among us, the more we can slip into altered states of disturbance and dismay.

Mistakes and misunderstandings are happening ever more frequently in our ‘trusted’ media sources and on ‘official websites’, where information is supposed to not only be reliable but affects our critical decision-making processes. More and more often, these mistakes are huge and embarrassing ones, reflecting a now-common but highly corrosive atmosphere of mind-manipulation and deceit. Under any degree of scrutiny, most of the ‘facts’ with which we are being presented commonly confuse the term “confirmation” with “unproven assertions” or “unverifiable claims”.

This is because it is impossible to present any absolutes. The deeply-felt impact of nebulous and ill-definable exterior planets like Neptune, Pluto and Eris are creating chaos, distrust and strife – surreptitious forces behind all disagreements, divorces, scraps, skirmishes, fights, battles and wars.

Strife and discord, by its very nature, cannot be brought under control. Once the “apple of discord” is thrown into the picture, all order and control, however total and absolute in its attempts, is rendered ineffectual.

The outcome of this pan-demonic chaos can not be predicted. The only ‘absolute’ it offers is the utter devastation it will leave in its wake. No alarms and no surprises there. It’s what humanity is totally up for (and you are so ready for it)."

(Super)Virgo New Moon: Who are you in (Super)Service to and who (Super)Serves you?
    9/16/20
    https://app.getresponse.com/view.htm...hv4&z=EQQQQaM&

    "Greetings Fellow Travellers,

As the dark moon enters Virgo, she approaches our earth at extraordinary proximity, about to form the first of three consecutive Supermoons, New Moons that are closer and more potent than usual, not only swelling our tides but nudging us, in no uncertain terms, to "get it together".

We all know it. This first super-lunation, in Virgo, is such a harbinger to pull ourselves together, pointing us to look at health, routine, work, efficiency and effectiveness in dealing with physical and practical obstacles - adapting our lifestyle to suit the current trends, refining, and fine-tuning, clearing and throwing out impurities with the objective of being a 'better' person to serve others and society.

We are feeling enormous pressure to remove obstacles and distractions from our lives, focus our attention on more efficient methods and means by which to improve our personal path. However, we are also challenged by the evolutionary needs and soul desires of the collective as a square for this lunation to the Lunar Nodes reveals a severe misalignment between our individual ego and common humanity's quest for truth. Is truth something that is objectively definable or, in the post-modernist sense, subject to each individual's perceived interpretation? This question rattles us as a sentient species. The imbalance created here at this point in history merely tests how much our individual aims, as indicated by the Virgo Supermoon, are currently out-of-sync with what the universe is wanting from us. This creates an enormous disconnection and divisiveness between us.

The Virgo Sun's recent opposition to Neptune has left us in quandary, a subtle sense of confusion as to where we stand. It's hard to be sure of anything.

Yes, we are evolving. We are being called out of the wild forests of Sagittarius and tweeted to join the Media Jamboree over in Gemini. The Gemini North Node summons us to show how we can best maintain communicative contact with others. We do this by listening. This is not easy when the South Node in Sadge makes us prone to assume that we already know everything and we won’t be told. In fact, as far as ‘truth’ is concerned, we have made up our minds. We will make the announcements, regardless of the facts or arguments on what anyone else thinks.
Understandably, the analytical Virgo has a problem with both Gemini and Sagittarius. She sees the war between reason & intuition, facts & morality as just a lot of hot air that circulates expansively but doesn’t ever land – it is not grounded and therefore not useful in a practical, earthy way.

Yet, the mighty force of this Virgo lunation is such that it responsibly lends us the shrewdly discerning qualities of her mutable/earth modalities. We are called to have a careful look at what is happening, see what we can make of it. Yet, when Virgo energy is not handled correctly, it can develop into a fear of criticism and scrutiny of facts, which can easily turn into callous and summary discrimination towards others.

Virgo can thus swing us into a full-scale rejection of knowledge and information which we do not understand. A quincunx to a retro Mars can stir defensive feelings toward those we hardly know, simply on the basis that what they have to say feels impractical, illogical and unworkable. A sesquisquare from Uranus in Taurus agitates even further irritation and hostility to the lunation, especially aggravating those who possess a stubborn resistance to the technology and insights driven by exponential increases in computing power and by the online availability of vast amounts of data. From software used to discover new technologies to algorithms used to predict our cultural interests, technology has made possible new products and services that are exponentially working to increase the efficiency and pleasure of our personal lives.

Mars acts as a stymie here. Initially, we don’t understand the cause of the inner unrest and aggression or the tension it projects towards those around us. We might become very touchy and need little provocation to get extremely irritated with others, flying into a rage without a good reason. These feelings of aggravation have to be worked through, with the set intention that practical action must be taken to avoid feelings of isolation, loneliness and lack of purpose. This, of course, is very challenging, given Mars' sustained square to the Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto 'conspiracy' in Capricorn.

An earth trine to this lunation from the authoritarian Saturn/Pluto is interesting in that it pulls out the stick on those who are skilled and fit enough to work hard. Those willing to dominate today's marketplace through the application of tight, state-sanctioned planning and a determination to be a greater contributor to society are promised reward here. The Virgo/Capricorn synergy is about building upon the effectiveness of proper, state-sanctioned plans and of being clinically thorough, both in our preparation as well as execution of those plans. It is also a call to those who are feeling ‘left out’ to start working on new ways to contribute in order to support themselves and their citizenry.

Saturn/Pluto reminds us that our world is on the brink of a technological revolution, one which will fundamentally transform the way we live, work, and relate to one another. In its epic scale, scope, and complexity, the transmutation of our societies will be unlike anything humankind has experienced before. At this stage, we are uncertain about how it will unfold, but one thing is clear: our response to it must ultimately be integrated and comprehensive, involving all stakeholders of today’s society, from the public and private sectors to academia and civil society.

Naturally, big gains will come through serious discipline, greater austerity and important denials. This is especially difficult for those who hold contrary or suspicious views towards authority and those disseminating information. Uranus in Taurus accelerates the speed of current breakthroughs at an exponential rather than a linear pace. It is disrupting almost every industry in every society, and the breadth and depth of these changes announce the transformation of entire systems of economic production, management, and governance.

Whether you’re leading the brigade or are feeling somewhat excluded, you are ‘inspired’ to do the necessary work if you are to transmute your capacity to be fitter, healthier and more productive citizen, pushed by an unprecedented pressure from the status quo. At this point, it is debatable whether everyone is feeling the shift towards a greater system of meritocracy as being as democratically rewarding as it may promise. Just looking at the systems in government currently installed in the Kremlin, Beijing, Washington, or any other capital, one wonders whether the amassing of authoritarian power at the expense of individual freedom is the only end game.

There are those who 'believe' that the Capricorn attitude of ambitious goals and authoritarian status stinks of patriarchal tyranny and oppression, a force which only seems to benefit a most narrow intersection of the community and leaves out the rest. As Mars now retrogrades back towards Eris, it generates a very scorned and resentful square towards those who are in power.

We sense two significant forces at odds here: One is impelling us towards personal improvement while another pulls us either backwards or forwards on our path to soul maturity.

Uranus is also receiving a square from Venus, which indicates some degree of uneasiness about how today’s progress tends to favour the providers of intellectual and physical capital—those innovators, shareholders, and investors in the digital market, which ultimately impacts the value of individual autonomy and sovereignty. This then impacts our sense of self-worth if we become disillusioned and fearful that our labour and workmanship will not be as valued, affecting the potential of our income and that of our children.

Mercury in Libra, ruler of this Virgo lunation, squares Jupiter, opening the discussion in an attempt to ameliorate the great imbalances facing today’s social dilemma.

After 4 months in retrograde, Jupiter is now stationed at 17°♑24′, turning direct. The great god of optimism and opportunity is now ready to move out of his ‘fall-sign’, where he has seen many of us inclined to take the exact letter of the law too literally. In Capricorn, Jupiter is inclined to generate opportunity by playing along within the architecture of the hierarchical system, looking for legal loopholes in the written legislature, almost in denial to the spirit of nature’s immutable laws. This has unfortunately created some grave inconsistencies in moral conduct, business ethics, and even in the responsibilities of high office.

Jupiter's pass over his retrograde shadow for a third and final time affords us the wisdom to see the injustices, crimes, and hypocrisies of those in positions of wealth or clerical responsibility. Those whose personal ambitions for greater power, status and prestige by exploiting loopholes and clauses in current constitutions and electoral processes, while being utterly neglectful of their duty to society, will make one last grab for total control as Jupiter approaches Saturn/Pluto (Nov-Dec).

This Virgo supermoon, as well as the Libra and Scorpio lunations that follow in the coming months, will see governments increasingly facing pressure to change their current approach to public engagement and policymaking. Their intense ambition to maintain a more centralised role in conducting policy will only create a fierce backlash from the public. New sources of competition are on the rise as if in protest to the old order.

As Jupiter and Saturn progress into Aquarius (Dec 2020), the redistribution and decentralisation of power that new technologies make possible will also force government systems and public authorities to modify their behaviour in order to ensure their survival. How they do this depends on our collective activity.

The Virgo lunation hence braces us for the hard work that lies ahead. We must prove that we are capable of embracing a world of disruptive change, and we must (en masse) force our governing systems to suitably adapt their structures to the levels of transparency and efficiency so that we are all able to maintain our competitive edge. This is a necessary shift for the masses if we are going to make it into the new age. If our current systems cannot evolve, we will face intolerable trouble in integrating ourselves into the new labour and health markets, a disruption to humanity's structure that could leave many people feeling further left out in the cold."

( And here is a little addendum to this past week's astro report from Ang, which is retrospect, is spot-on for me, at least...):

    https://angstoic.com/2020/09/sun-opposition-neptune/

"Be mindful that the world is subtly shifting into turbocharged hypercriticism.

While tangible in the short run, heightened discrimination, belligerent pedantry, threatening-by-numbers, medical bullying, death-alarmism and all-round do-gooder freakouts contribute to an atmosphere of micro-tyranny and intimidation.

Ultimately, this shuts down creativity, destroys momentum, ceases productivity and, although not visible, causes long term psychological damage. If you’re the sensitive, artistic or ‘spiritual’ kind or just really insecure, be discerning where you plonk yourself."

Learning to Speak Up to Tyranny and Injustice:
THE WEEK AHEAD – Sep 21-27
    https://angstoic.com/2020/09/learnin...ead-sep-21-27/

"In the final days of September 2020, the Virgo Sun will reach the Equinox (Tuesday 22nd), inaugurating into Libra. This crossing marks a significant shift in the Solar cycle, heralding a change in the direction of the Sun’s rays falling on Earth. Here, at this sacred turning point, we are called to open our eyes and ears to the world of others, realising that what they have to offer is equally significant.

Passing this critical point, the all-powerful Sun now begins to glare his illuminating beams more on the southern half of the planet and less on the northern half. In the mundane sense, this augurs the official end of summer in the Northern Hemisphere while in the South, winter is over and spring begins. Astrologically, it marks the shift of consciousness from personal to social matters.

    The Shift into Libra
Humans immediately experience the energetic shift of the Equinox. We become aware that matters of meaning must now concentrate less on the domains of personal knowledge and more on those perceptions that involve others. Our most important life choices over the next six months will tend to involve the will and desires of others. If we want to reach a more harmonious equilibrium in our relationships, we must learn to negotiate and compromise our intentions so they are workable in context with our social world.

The cardinal/air Libra Sun awakens us to the public spirit. We are inspired to make a conscious effort to be more respectful and friendly. Policies, law enforcement and politics will play a bigger role. Our inclination to adapt to others will shine through. Our little affectations and vanities become instantly revealed and our need to be unique and important to others becomes evident. Whether authentic or contrived, our efforts to be charming and pleasant will ring through. In any sense, we show a greater interest for peace and good relations; for aesthetic beauty and art; for fashion and deportment; for ease and comfort; cordiality and graceful manners. We are called to loosen the selfish grip on our own interests and though we may waver and vacillate between our interests to satisfy ourselves and our attempts to please others, we are thrust to make an effort to “get along”.

    “Getting Along” vs “Going Along”
However, let us not kid ourselves. Let us place this Libra Sun into 2020 context. Seldom before has this inspired Libran urge to restore balance and order into our social and political affairs been so challenged. Even with his ruler Venus in mutual reception, the authority of the Sun to make fair decisions will be extremely challenged during the coming month.

Essentially in the sign of his fall, the Sun is at his most indecisive/ineffective in Libra. The generally Sun operates best when under more decisive signs (Leo, Aries). To make matters even more dire, he will have to stand against the long-escalating tensions occurring in the cardinal duel between planets in Aries and Capricorn, which for the next two months refuse to give way easily. Their positions have become deeply entrenched around the late degrees of their cardinal placements (22°-26°). Here, the war between the self-centred freedoms of Aries versus the obedient conformity to Capricorn’s insistence for social order is building into a state of massive civil discord and oppression.

As we may be observing, our society has degenerated into (chiefly) two camps of extreme willfulness and unyielding judgements. Whether we are personally affected or just a concerned onlooker, one may wonder as to whether people wish well or choose condemnation upon one another. Planets in cardinal signs want to go their own way, accomplish their own agenda, often at the expense of the way of others.

Libra, also cardinal (initiating) but in the cool, idealistic element of air (intellect), lends us important tools that we can hone in our lives to work out who means well for us and who just wants to mess us around. In the balancing act, we must immediately work out who in our lives wishes us well, desires the very best for us – not only because they care, but because it benefits them too. We are encouraged to at least come to the table, listen to other peoples’ side of things. Even if those we’re dealing with seem critical of us – and the opinionated Libra is famous for prompting or providing unsolicited advice, we must determine whether the critique and assessment of others is well-meaning; ie. in the best interests of our finding peace and harmony in our lives.

We are still fresh out of the Virgo New Moon, where we learned much about the usefulness and practicalities of the discernment process. In the past month, we have learned to better discriminate between those who are useful and those not facilitating our better intentions for health and expediency of process. We have learned to cease activities and cut ties with fruitless distractions, annoying people and our often unconscious tendencies toward self-sabotage.

The Libra Sun now highlights the elements in this world that are not good for us, people who do not wish to see us well, who wish to throw our lives into disorder, for whatever selfish reason. However, we may not necessarily be so bold or decisive enough to call these out in real-time situations, sensing that we may lack the skills to handle any incursions upon our relative well-being.

The danger here is that we may choose to sit on our hands, crippled with inaction, uncertain as to how to respond – often looking to our ‘leaders’ or other authorities to guide us; to demonstrate or teach us of the guile and tact necessary to restore a more ideal outcome for ourselves. Sadly, our public figures seem either paralysed or silenced in their capacity to say what they think, or they are deliberately holding their tongues because their own position or secretly-held self-interests seem threatened or compromised. The question is, if nobody speaks up to the obvious inequities and injustices now, then when? If we are not prepared to express our honest reaction to how things are upsetting our quest for balance and peace in our life, then in which life are we expecting to make things right? We need to watch this reticence to express ourselves, given so many planets are in retrograde. Everything not done now will come to haunt us, sooner or later.

Sure, you may say that you are reasonably comfortable – as comfortable as one could be during these ‘apocalyptic’ times. You may be content to watch it all burn down around you as you sit there, high up in your tree, happily ‘going along’ with everything that is being expected of you, staying relatively ‘safe’ from all the destruction going on down there. The problem with this is that you are soon left with less and less and the effect on your free spirit as a ‘citizen’ becomes gradually demeaning, diminishing your sense of personal power, your social leverage and capacity to speak up for what eventually threatens to devour you too.

In the melee happening in Capricorn/Aries, we see how much the contention between personal rights and freedoms versus the state-sanctioned rules and laws has been dredging up a lot of anger. Conflicts that not only affect the ‘common strugglers’ of this world but weighing in upon the squabbles between great national powers and mighty corporations – entities which claim to determine the happiness and well-being of all its constituents and patrons.

Mercury leads the crusade here, and this week we see our little scout at the critical degrees of this cardinal challenge. By Tuesday/Wednesday, we see Mercury’s squares to the Saturn/Pluto stir up enough mental shrewdness and ingenuity to at least tackle some of the most restrictive problems in our quest to speak our mind with the aim of restoring some liberty and peace in our lives. In this conflict, we need to to look deeper into things, investigate matters that are holding us down mentally, ask questions that will satisfy our thinking enough to reason with an impossibly irate Mars.

Mars in Aries, especially in retrograde, exhibits a rather combative egoism which, when aroused by the well-meaning ‘queries’ and ‘suggestions’ of a sprightly Mercury does not easily exercise restraint during discussions. Mars’ usual spirit of autonomy feels already thwarted and constrained during these times.

We may, hence, not easily appreciate others telling us what to do – however well-meaning. There is a fire within us which, whilst temporarily smothered or stifled somewhat, is still ready to rage for not having acted appropriately when it should have. Under any provocation, the slightest upset or ‘judgy-sorts-of words’ we may easily lose our temper in communications or negotiations.

    Empowering Horoscope Messages for
    Mars Retrograde
It, therefore, stands as a dire warning for this week: Try not to lose your patience when things are apparently not as you might wish to see them. You may be demoralised, awfully regretful for having done rash things (or not having acted) as you ‘should’ have; you may even feel cowardly.

The opposite is also true here. If you refuse to stand with the mob, to ram against the status quo, refuse to march with the posse, you may feel better about yourself for preserving a sense of dignity and self-respect, as indicated by the Venus in Leo.

There is no question, as Saturn/Pluto maintains its iron-fisted conjunction through the next few months, that totalitarian systems are being installed in 2020. These are means of control which, throughout history, seek to grind insecure individuals to the ground, make them agree to lies, accept any corruption and abuse of power. Exercising unyielding force on the population is a very effective means for leaders to make them compliant and agree to anything, however crazy and uncouth.

This week we might start to see the impact of how, through a series of micro-aggressions and gradual impositions on our individual liberties, we have (since March) blindly complied to create a political atmosphere filled with little signs of how our subjugation to ‘the state’ has gradually diminished our capacity to be all that we could be. Anger turns to hate when we discover that others are not meaning us well after all, and I will discuss how this is likely to play out in the coming weeks on this week’s cosmic bus (join me Thu/Fri, usual time).

For the time being, be mindful that there is incredible pressure on us all to comply and be constrained by increasingly draconian and secretive powers through the ministries of governance, law and morality. We must be mindful of the pressures upon your prerogative and be utterly discerning about who means well for you and who wishes you harm. We must also try not to act rashly, saying things or acting in ways which only mirror their hatred and unkindness. If we wish to avoid being pressured into a position where we end up hating those who force their unwanted toxicity and unreasonable demands upon our personal freedoms and liberties, we need to pick up our own skills of judgement, tact, and guileful political manner.

We are learning not only to see the truth but to speak it artfully. Here, we must come to fight any infractions upon our personal autonomy without fear of consequence or punishment, before it is too late. We have only this life, this precious moment to align our intergrity with our inner compass, realistically speaking. Let us not blow this.

Blessings, and may you have an amazing week xx"

    "It’s come to this…

Big-worded tirades to your housemates in the kitchen, mega-rants on social media, peaceful marches and even rioting in the streets have fallen on deaf ears. It’s done nothing and you know it.
Nobody can stop the slew now stacked against the old matrix system formerly known as ‘3D-reality’
Your efforts of campaigning, protest, even breaking the law and getting your ass arrested has been useless. Stop pretending you can affect change by “doing something”.

That’s because you’re now up against the machine. It has ZERO feelings, especially for you.

    How to stop it?

Mass civil non-compliance. Mass, because if we don’t ALL do it, we’re pretty much screwed.

Stop reporting to work for the corporate machine.
If you’re not being allowed to work for yourself, then you’re virtually degraded into a mind-numbed integer of their program.
Stop clocking into work for it.
Stop turning up to wear their badge,
Stop donning their uniform, loading up the digi-bullets into their digi-canons, arming up a wipeout machine that will ultimately plunder your fellow citizens of their last dime and leave you utterly soul-deprived.

The only way to stop this filthy mudslide; to restore balance to this planet; bring some relief upon your nerves; some dignity into your soul is to boycott servicing the machinations of this death-march towards certain corporate-controlled digital despotism."

    Capricorn Moon pass across Saturn/Pluto

"The Cap Moon’s pass across Saturn/Pluto again,
mixing to create her fog of delusion and counter-delusion.
Powerfully treacherous forces and conspirators undoubtedly at play,
    yet they seem to have no faces and no names;
only black cats sprawled ominously all across the way,
like spilt ink smeared across the pages of tomorrow…

Interesting to see the arguments that keep us diametrically opposed during this period. Who is right and who is righter? Can we really learn to embrace the difference in others’ opinion (knowing that neither they nor we know anything about today’s phenomena); humour each other’s incomplete (at best) ‘beliefs’, and see through the intersectional mental constructs that perpetually divide us?"

    NEWS ABOUT THE NEWS
    https://angstoic.com/2020/09/news-about-the-news/

"This is a good time to mind our poise and our composure. The Libra Sun calls for more tact and diplomacy, for if you slip and lose your cool, you stand to fall, disgracefully.

MERCURY, already in his retrograde shadow, has entered Scorpio – home of the acerbic, fanatical mind. Among several other dynamic tizzies this month, Mercury will station directly opposite Uranus for much of October. Ugly, violent scenes and ‘accidents’ are not out of the question for those who inadvertently get too caught up f---ing around at the extremes, seemingly disengaged from their centre. By now it’s possible to know how to keep those at a manageable distance without diametrically opposing or becoming one of them.

This is a good time to mind our poise and our composure. The Libra Sun calls for more tact and diplomacy, for if you slip and lose your cool, you stand to fall, disgracefully.

Among the myriad of socio-political and environmental crises that we may see festering out there, known and unknown, it is important to remember that the real ‘epidemic’ going on around us is merely a reflection of a severely complex phenomenon, one with many variables. All this is merely a projection of what is going on within, and unless we dare to employ our inner Sherlock/Jung/Fauci, we may fail to come up with any workable solutions – only unresolved pits anger and rage. This can be dangerous.

... I am already observing, especially among my beloved tribe, a greater migration away from toxic think-hubs, and this itself is an indication that people are making more sensible efforts to filter out the virulent crap that frequently pervades and distracts our beautiful, brilliant minds.

Please stay as respectful as you can, heedful that those around you, love or hate them, are but a mere reflection of our own narcissistic vanities.

    "Greetings Fellow Travellers,

As many of you are aware, we are heading into a critical period in the weeks and months ahead. No secret that the entire of humanity is now passing through a period of sociobiological realignment and, though we get a gauge of the severity of such a reformation from the prevailing transits of 2020-21, the complexity of the variables affecting change is difficult to delineate, let alone the course which humanity will take through this period.

We must by now be consciously aware that we have some serious decisions to make about our lives. Both individually and collectively, we are undergoing a vivid 'Dark Night of the Soul', and it is clearly evident that we must do something about managing the numerous dualities that are riddling inside and out among us. The conditional, 3D world of Saturn is itself coming to a close. As with the collapse of every empire, there are those who perish and those who choose to accept the necessary changes and evolve accordingly.

I wish you all well on the journey ahead. Blessings xx

Balancing the Scales of Justice: The Month Ahead – October 2020
    https://angstoic.com/2020/09/balanci...-october-2020/

"With the Sun now traversing into the progressed degrees of Libra, our conscious awareness is vividly exteriorised onto the world around us. We are purposely on the lookout, not merely for those who mean well for us, but for those who wish us harm. However, what becomes vividly translucent this month is that our social world is but a mere reflection of our inner selves.

As humans, our interdependence on others is vital to our sense of being. As we learn to adapt to those around us, we gradually atone and attenuate our interests in such a way that we are giving and receiving the level of love and appreciation that we feel we deserve. The consciousness about what we need to work on is the key and we rely on feedback for improvement, constantly. How we judge this, without ego is crucial to the development of peace and joy in our lives. Within each of us lies the duality of good and bad, light and dark, beauty and pain, choice and regret, cruelty and sacrifice. Through our relationship with others, this dichotomy is given a sense of perspective, a reference point to our innate identity. In energetic terms, others form a relative ballast ie., someone to keep us in our place, remind us of where we stand in the scheme of things.

An energetic equation is happening in Libra. Through the hither-and-tither of the social engagement, we become somehow mindful of the relativity of our being and the unique perplexities of our interpersonal projections.

    The Cardinal Melee
Those following the stars may be aware of the profoundly conflicting planetary transits coming up in October 2020. These are particularly accentuated in this month’s two lunations, tipped over the edge around the Friday 16th New Moon Supermoon.

Planets in cardinal signs are principally concerned with the present and insist on initiating their own activities. This can produce an especially tense atmosphere for all cardinals, particularly Libra, who does like to lead by seeking the cooperation of others rather than trying to go it alone. Capricorn’s attitude of extreme cynicism, fear, inhibition, chastisement, censure, etc., as indicated by the prevailing Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto stellium, makes cooperation and agreeableness very difficult. Similarly, the Libra Sun is opposed by the highly smitten, selfishly reactionary Chiron, Mars/Eris in Aries.

Of course, we will make every effort to see these energies and bring them into balance. However, we also see the full consequences of what happens when we let dark, self-centred and ambitious forces run amok. These unchecked energies not only reflect back to us the fragile nature of our truth and sincerity in relationships, they also threaten to put the whole of society and the balance of nature at risk.

The Sun in Libra is essentially at his weakest. Against the dignified Mars/Eris and Saturn/Pluto, it tends not to bring out the best but the most ruthless elements of our nature as we struggle to ameliorate the gross imbalances and defend ourselves against the seemingly relentless callousness of pernicious forces trying to seize total control.

    Gateway to the Reconstruction.
Of course, the auspicious events of October (and November) are only the precursor to the great social revolt and reconstruction of 2021, where squares between the patriarchal forces, Uranus vs Saturn and Jupiter, dominate throughout the entirety of next year. Yes, in greek mythology Uranus (Ouranos) was the father of Saturn (Kronos), who in turn fathered Jupiter (Zeus). Interestingly, each son castrated and banished his father in order to claim control of the dominion. These are the age-old issues of the patriarchy that still remain unhealed and underfoot today.

Anyway, the tension building from decisions we make over this next month will spill into the coming months (and years). If you’re the conservative kind, one who opposes change, then whatever you depend upon for comfort, security and normality are likely to be ripped away from you, possibly abruptly, even violently.

If you buy into radical innovations and technologies, drastic and progressive new ways, then your lack of patience, immaturity, inexperience and incapacity to attend to the more practical consideration of your ‘experiments’ will also likely lead to sudden ruin and disgrace.

2020 has just been an incubation period for all this.

In performative terms, 2021 is a year where authoritarianism of the most obscene, absurd kind is likely to erupt, threatening to divide the inhabitants of ‘middle earth’ amongst one another. Disagreements will not be easily tolerated. Egotism and hypocrisy reach epidemic proportions.

Those who find themselves in leadership positions (everywhere) become either the most idolised or detested human beings in our known history. These demagogues come into power because they are supported by those whose advocacy or enforcement of strict obedience to authority; whose ideas about social dominance; whose prejudices; whose tendency to form like-minded mobs, and whose sense of being deprived of something to which they believe they are entitled somehow makes them absolutely ‘right’. What becomes left in the ensuing scuffle is beyond recognition, at least in social terms.

Uranus in Taurus is known to produce periods of unparalleled economic turmoil – sudden, dramatic ups and downs that wreak havoc with people’s sense of security and stability. As in the 20th century (1935-42), the more tense transits to Uranus agitated collective neuroses all over the world, especially over economic depressions which had wiped out peoples’ savings and jobs almost overnight, diminishing their self-worth and leaving them hopeless. It was a period when communist/socialist ideologies, which espouse a more equitable distribution of wealth and power, gave rise to movements which profoundly transformed existing economic and strategic power structures, overturning powerful sovereignties and reorganising the fate of entire nations. Needless to say, the last time Uranus was in Taurus produced Adolf Hitler and WWII. Today, we are at least blessed with the gift of hindsight.

With the world’s population now nearly four times that of the 1920’s, we are likely to endure an unprecedented period of economic crises and social upheavals as we struggle to regain balance. Changes to your own financial situation, your material stability and values; your entire sense of self-worth and inner need for stability become profoundly affected. Your personal earning capacity and attitudes toward money fluctuate so greatly that life undergoes a series of dramatic twists and fortune reversals.

Through the crises, 2021 will produce a tsunami of thinkers who decry capitalism, seeking to overturn the very basis of the existing economic establishment, freeing up the world’s resources and dispersing them more evenly among all people.

    Dealing with the Present
How all this happens, of course, is a matter for our weekly ‘bus’ discussions. Essentially, enough distress and public uproar at the seeming inequities, abuses and incompetence of governing bodies (and cashed-up corporations) who hypocritically refuse to play along with their ‘rules’ or pay taxes will create a groundswell of dissent, which sooner or later finds the means to change financial policies and force institutions to play along with a more open and equanimous set of rules of engagement.

“Do you see the consequences of the way we have chosen to think about success? Because we so profoundly personalize success, we miss opportunities to lift others onto the top rung…We are too much in awe of those who succeed and far too dismissive of those who fail. And most of all, we become much too passive. We overlook just how large a role we all play — and by “we” I mean society — in determining who makes it and who doesn’t.”

    -Malcom Gladwell, Outliers
All this shake-up is necessary. Brace yourselves. Somewhere within, we need to get over our hidden (shadow) selves. We need to think less selfishly when we endeavour how to best pursue our extraordinarily unique aims and ambitions in order to support ourselves and those we love.

    Mercury in his Retrograde Shadow
October will forcibly expose an inordinate amount of darkness out of us. It will also help us see just how much stubbornness and toxic thinking is going on, both within and between us. Mercury, already in his retrograde shadow, has entered Scorpio – home of the acerbic, fanatical mind. Among several other dynamic tizzies this month, Mercury will station directly opposite Uranus for much of October.

Ugly, violent scenes and ‘accidents’ are not out of the question for those who inadvertently get too caught up around at the ideological extremes (left or right), seemingly disengaged from their centre. By now it’s possible to know how to keep those ‘fanatics’ at a manageable distance without diametrically opposing or becoming one of them.

This is a good time to mind our poise and our composure. The Libra Sun calls for greater tact and diplomacy in how to move forward. If you slip and lose your cool, you stand to fall, disgracefully.

Among the innumerable socio-political and environmental crises that we may see festering out there, known and unknown, it is important to remember that the real ‘epidemic’ going on around us is merely a reflection of severely complex phenomena, tinged with many variables. All this is merely a projection of what is going on within, and unless we dare to employ our inner Sherlock/Jung/Fauci, we may fail to come up with any workable solutions – only unresolved pits of anger and rage. This can be dangerous.

Essentially, we must learn that the degree to which we are affected by the exterior world and the people in it is a proportional manifestation of the energy that we are putting out there. Where attention goes, energy flows – so check out where you’re pointing that thing.

Those beings who can choose to come to light, merely observe, silently; still-fully, without the pull to become engaged in this unholy development of putrid judgement and discordance; who can exercise loving wisdom and respectful adaptability to the whole evolution of every species, composing themselves responsively from moment to moment, will survive not only to flourish but, through finding one another, hold a sacred space for what wondrous things may come upon this plane, after the fall…

Blessings, and may you have an amazing month xx "

Subject: Making the Decision of Your Life: FULL MOON at 09°08′ ARIES
    9/30/20
    https://app.getresponse.com/view.htm...hv4&z=Ew3wMMH&

    "Greetings fellow travellers,

No Full Moon speaks loudest to our indecisiveness, lack of focus and desperate urge to look outside ourselves for someone or something to prop us up; to blame or help solve our inner problems and inadequacies like the Aries Full Moon. A decision is needed, and one way or another, 'right or wrong', we must make the leap.

Like every Full Moon, the primary, most personal energies in our lives are splitting. One might say (under the current climate) that they’re tearing us apart. Our conscious side wants one thing while our instincts are pulling towards the diametric opposite. Since this lunation is all about relationships – particularly those that mean the very most to us – we are forced to make critical choices on how to proceed.

Does the person, thing or ‘other’ that we depended so much on really serve our best interests, or is it time to call it a day, move on, and clear the patch for a new and better interest? Is our uniqueness being appreciated as much as we might like, or is it just becoming too much effort to upkeep the interdependence? Are we in a complementary arrangement or is our current situation really letting us down?

These are serious questions which come amidst a flurry of extremely difficult circumstances, as indicated by the larger transits (Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto squaring Mars/Eris).

It may very well seem like the end of the world anyway, and with the Moon’s conjunction to Chiron, there is an irrepressible urge to make a break with the inadequacies of the past and seek salvation, healing and respite somewhere completely new… even if the ‘new’ looks suspiciously identical to the old.

The point here is that we may have to cut ties with our dependencies, at least long enough to see just how dependent we’ve become and how, by taking a whole new approach (see next fortnight’s Libra Supermoon), we are thrust into looking at our relationship to the exterior world in a more pragmatic, less reliant, ineffectual and procrastinating way.

Something always has to give on a Full Moon, and whether we are aware or not, we are making an upgrade. Whether we make the right decision or not, the universe, which has no fixed agenda – just love, rallies around that decision. In essence, there is no right or wrong, only the cosmic field which is there to support you, whichever direction you wish to take.

There’s much to mull over here as we continue this journey towards the most exciting moment in our collective human experience.

Blessings, and may you have an amazing Full Moon xx "

VENUS IN VIRGO (Oct 3-28)ASTROLOGY OF NOW/
    https://angstoic.com/2020/10/venus-in-virgo-oct-3-28/

Romance can sometimes mean sharing your succinct critique of things you like (or dislike) together with a partner; doing the tidy-up and cleaning together or for loved ones; cooking; something thoughtful and painstaking or technically complicated, even repetitive; helping others to fix or heal or sort out their act; even providing love/sex more as a service or a convenience if it pleaseth the romantic partner.

There tends to be a level of neurosis in the love-affairs with those who are native to this placement. This is because Virgo, ruled by Mercury tends to short-circuit the affairs of the heart, and in the most afflicted cases we see over-fastidiousness and critical analysis of all that is ‘good’ being torn to shreds, leaving the Venus Virgo type typically lonesome and frustrated.

"SPOILER: When Venus enters Virgo, it’s always something… some little detail getting in the way of the romance; the thrill and enjoyment of the moment. You’ll find a way to show your affections, simply devote your heart (and spare time) to the service of others.

"MA℞S squares a stationing SATURN and with the SUN opposing CHIRON, there’s something about bearing witness to a moment in history so gruesome, brutal, and bizarre that could leave our gentle souls as hardened and callous as those cops who have to pick up all the scraps after an awful car crash.

No normal human being could endure such a sullen, anguished period on a daily basis and still stay sane. The part of us that has to get through these harsh, austere conditions learns that it’s best not to feel, to toughen up, maintain a stony-faced whimsy toward all the shocking and upsetting things we humans are capable of doing to one another.

For some ‘cosmic’ reason, we are practising the art of not-feeling, and it may be that some of you Mars/Saturn peeps are better at it than others, since you’ve had so many opportunities to learn.

    MARS square SATURN/PLUTO

By the end of the weekend, forces will have mounted to launch full-scale restraints upon that which they deem to be impure, contaminating or corrupt. Many noses may be put out of joint…

WARNING: Since The Pisces moon is also conjunct Neptune, I advise that all you bleeding-hearts stay right out of the trenches today."

    Mercury Slows to Oppose Uranus
    10/6/20
    https://angstoic.com/2020/10/mercury...oppose-uranus/

"MERCURY SLOWS and this time next week will be flying retrograde. In a few hours, he will OPPOSE URANUS, forming the iconoclastic mentality that only relishes confuting others’ myths and illusions with its brilliant logic and irreverent wit, challenging authority and mercilessly cutting through the shim-sham of unquestioned social dogmas.

Nothing is sacred, but then, all the greatest breakthroughs were made by some daredevil who, in their time, was considered a heathen, heretic and anti-christ… simply because they transcended the world of judgements. Risky, but hey… what’s the point in playing the safe card when you’re going to go someway anyways?

Along with other transits this will be one of those weeks/months that turned everything.

Mercury Opposition Uranus: “F--- Your Opinion – Just Give Me the Facts”
    https://angstoic.com/2020/10/mercury...-me-the-facts/

"Mercury will oppose Uranus exactly three times over the next six weeks and thanks to its retrograde on Oct 14, the god of communication and ideas remains within ~2° orb, opposite the great disruptor, Uranus, all throughout the 5th-22nd of this month.

This usually indicates a climactic period of high-level neuroticism and fixity of mind which, whilst contrary and erratic, its sustained effects mean that the logic, especially of others, is hard-to-follow and can often switch position violently from one attitude, idea or belief to the extreme opposite within moments.

Mercury’s intent to be absolutely persuasive doesn’t let up in Scorpio, but this violent inconstancy of mind (and there can be several flip-flops) generates such tremendous interpersonal conflict that we just come to give up entirely with individuals whose schtick not only seems unreliable, uncomfortable or hard to believe, but downright frightening.

This sustained dynamic throughout October enervates our threshold of tolerance for those ‘know it all’ types and their unapologetic ‘truth-telling’ assaults. Of course, we come to see that our utter disdain for the projected opinions of others, especially if they should conflict with our own, is merely a mirrored reflection to our own fixed views, and it is our mind’s delusional adherence to a certain idea – be it based in science, math, economics, religion or ‘magic’ that attracts the kind of convoluted arguments and debates that whip up commonly into a twitter-war kind of furore.

How do we resolve or moderate these challenges in our communications with others? The first important step is to acknowledge that we have an issue in trying to understand one another, to admit that we are prone to see things in ways which are difficult to explain in current terms. The fact that we don’t have the data, facts or even language to explain things to one another is a problem, and we must do our best to calm that inner erratic agitation in our minds, just long enough to see that we are neither here nor there, so far as getting our message across.

We are in a communicational no-man’s-land, about to cross the wild frontier, just like the folks of radio and automobiles (late 1920’s) and those of the first telegraphs and railroads (1840’s) when Uranus had again first entered Aries and later laid down new pathways of travel and communication through Taurus."

Playing Our Cards Close to Our Chest: The Weekend Ahead (Oct 9-11)
ASTROLOGY OF NOW, The Week Ahead

"As above, so below they say. Well, if our heavenly players above are putting on quite an ambitious performance, one can imagine how that’s all playing out in your life.
By 18:00 UT Friday, the Venus-ruled Libra Sun will try to give off the impression that everything is fine, although squares from Jupiter and between Mars/Pluto are super tight, with some attempt to ease tensions from Venus and the Jupiter sextile to Neptune. This is seriously not time to be lulled into a false air of contentment or exuberant fancies though. There are possible perils for being too complacent.

No matter how we paint this, things are not fine and dandy, or at least not for those who feel like the crap has gone on too long. We may conceal our true feelings at the Cancer Quarter Moon, but the cracks are beginning to show around the whole ****-show. Regardless who you are, we’re are all a little sensitive and psychologically exposed right now. For the most part, we have nothing to worry about, but we may still wish to protect our privacy, even if still keeping up appearances.

The Mars/Pluto square comes with warnings to put our furies and passions to good use, or at least keep them under wraps for the slightest little microaggression could ignite a fearsome reaction.

We are heading into dynamite times with the next couple of moons. It, therefore, behooves us to stay aware of our centre, engaging outwards only when we’re sure where to appropriate our energies to achieve the most rewarding results. Some stuff to watch this weekend:

    SUN/JUPITER SQUARE
Firstly, let me say there are no winners in this. The Libra Sun, teeming with desire to make a favourable public impression crosses the punctilious Jupiter in Capricorn, who knows nothing about anything unless it’s written down in a rulebook somewhere.

There’s a lot of foolish assumptions, political stunts, false optimism and ill-considered ploys to appear better than things really are. The propensity to go over the top with over-inflated displays of wealth, well-being, academic wit and high-ground morality could backfire badly since the Sun and Jupiter are both in signs of their fall. Any ulterior motives are exposed as the weakened Sun will soon square up against the brutally ruthless Pluto, then Saturn.

    MARS/PLUTO SQUARE

Force is force. It overrides any careful planning, diplomacy, and peace. It bullies its way through even physical boundaries and, with Mars in Aries, storms its way into places where even angels fear to tread. Mars is retreating, so the usual might-makes-right, do-or-die attitude we see here is because he’s feeling cornered, a thing we must watch. Mars is a fierce warrior, even in defence. Conflict between the established powers and one’s personal struggle can turn extremely brutal, especially if Mars feels trapped by anyone with designs to impose their draconian ambitions. We have to be mindful to avoid letting such situations get out of control.

Regretfully, if pushed too far, we may see violent, even punitive behaviour, similar to that seen at the first Mars/Pluto square back in mid-August. As we remember, the whole summer in America was indelibly marked by political violence on the streets of many cities, made even crazier by a pandemic and inflammatory friction between protesters against racial injustice clashing with police, unidentified paramilitaries and armed vigilantes.

In many western countries, there were fierce street reactions, public explosions, skirmishes and hostility over corruption and abuse of power by authorities, police enforcement officers and angry protesters, prompting fears about the growth of political violence under democratic governments. Situations may again flare up to the extent where martial law may be called in, especially once Mars squares closer to Jupiter over the next week.

Fortunately, there is some glimmer of ‘hope’ in the air, for what it’s worth.

VENUS opposite the the MARS/PLUTO midpoint

Venus in Virgo tries to create some peace and love by offering her services, doing the correct thing to sort out the tension. Her influence here may soften the harsh, repugnantly bullying Mars/Pluto tactics. But her efforts are mostly made by promising gifts and incentives as some form of bribery to quell a possible upheaval.

All of this happens during a month when the Mercury/Uranus opposition begins now to generate a sharp exchange of intellectual uncouthness. It points our attention to verbal tactlessness and ‘little accidents’ in the mail. There’s an electrical-data-epidemic of ‘telling it like it is’, even when it isn’t; refusing to co-operate or have one’s mind swayed by others, even though we may change our point of view several times throughout the course of arguing a single point.

On the back of this, there is the old “here’s hoping” if we follow the magic footsteps we might get to Shangri-La, aspect.

    JUPITER SEXTILE NEPTUNE
In the background of this virus which has been running all year is this aspect between two of the mightiest gods. Although with Jupiter grounded in Capricorn, there’s not a lot of freedom to travel too far into Neptune’s Piscean waters. There’s plenty of sentimentality or plain gush for those things we miss, but infection to Neptune’s nebulous ways of undermining our ego keeps many of us at bay, especially when Pluto and Saturn, and Pallas Athena are watching over Jupiter’s sobriety and stuffy officiousness.

Grounded prayer, yoga, meditation, wishful thinking and dystopian fantasies about future societies are one thing but, in the more negative sense, tuning out altogether or becoming engrossed in implausible theories and convoluted beliefs can be a recipe for massive disillusionment, preferably before the big crash in January.

Of course, the next big event coming up for us is next week’s Libra New Supermoon, the closest this year. That’s happening at 23°♎54′, on Fri Oct 16, at 19:32 UTC, and you can see by the chart, it’s going to be a hairy one .

Blessings, have an amazing weekend xx"

    MERCURY Stations Retrograde Opposite URANUS
    10/12/20
    https://angstoic.com/2020/10/mercury...posite-uranus/

"In 24 hours, MERCURY will station at 11°♏40’℞ to go retrograde. Opposite URANUS, it serves as a reminder of how much we don’t know as much as revealing inconsistencies in our thinking.

Through our interactions, we discover how much we stubbornly adhere to what we think we know, as well as limit our growth and development when we resistantly ‘think we know everything’.

The linear narrative inside our heads (and our mental pathways) is not only being seriously disrupted, but over the next several weeks we must also undergo a period of deep retrospective inquiry into how many of the ideas we’re working with are either adopted to conform to those of others, or simply rejected outright by our intuition. Manipulation and persuasion of our minds must be a matter of consent.

Either way, it doesn’t pay to stay fixed-minded about anything. What we are keen to develop here is the ability to dig deeper, get to the source of information and either challenge its motive for distorting and manipulating facts or be somewhat satisfied that what we are perceiving will stand to ultimately guide us to the truth.

Do not slouch. Use both your intuition and your mental faculties to question any ideas that don’t seem to make sense. Everyone has a hidden motive behind why they share information with us. Ask questions, be prepared to listen and ask further questions until you understand their agenda. Similarly, be prepared to answer for the thoughts and ideas that you come to espouse. Cut ties with thoughts that are implanted in your mind simply to sell you a product or fixed outcome.

We need to get to the truth. This will take some intrepid investigation on your part.

After a period of retrogradation through Scorpio and back to Libra, Mercury will again turn direct on Nov 3 at 25°♎54′, finally reaching Sagittarius on Dec 1. One way or another, humanity is about to uncover some startling truths."

    Shattering all Pretences and Preconceptions:
THE WEEK AHEAD – Oct 19-25

    https://angstoic.com/2020/10/shatter...ree+Newsletter

    "Greetings Fellow Travellers,

A little stress now and again isn’t inherently harmful, although it can take time for the body to calm down and restore itself back to calmness. However, the prolonged, accumulated stress that we are experiencing this year, for instance, can and does result in considerably harmful physical, psychological and social consequences This is leading us all not just to an inevitable crescendo of anxiety and depression, but into the pernicious aftereffects of being in a state of hypervigilance and irritation.

It is, by now, no secret to you all that the Saturn/Pluto combination (cruelty, hard labour), which rears its dreadful head among us during its most dynamic aspects every decade or so, is trying to squeeze the living crap out of us. I say good. I say good to all the hard dynamics, but especially this one since, for all its harshness and outright ruthlessness, it always delivers the most precious goods. Placed against Eris though, we get the sense that this isn’t just another one of nature’s little shoulder-tapping, arse-kicking transits. Here, we get the sense that this is bigger and more epic than anything before, and with big-shot Jupiter also in the mix, we come to see why 2020 isn’t just another one of those run-of-the-mill “stressful years”.

Not everyone is feeling it, of course. Some (very few) people have already done an enormous amount of ‘lightening’ work, ridding themselves of any attachments which are seen to be more of a liability rather than an asset through this remarkable transition into the new epoch of ‘light-speed’.

However, there are many still stuck in the trenches, refusing to let go of their positions, knowing full well that these are fast becoming untenable and unsustainable. Even under the Libra Sun, whose blessing upon us to ‘call-out’ the gross violations and abuses imposed under a Pluto transit, we did not stand a chance when it squared up against Pluto and his dark, foreboding stranglehold on Jupiter/Saturn just last week. The pressure mounts quite heavily on those who remain fixated to their ‘stuff’.

There is a process here which seems interminably unstoppable, and like all Saturn/Pluto transits, the worldly product is one of pure alchemy because it penetrates matter into its empirical core -its molecular structure; DNA; tribal mannerisms; cultural normatives; scientific principles, are all affected. Something enormous is occurring that in the next 12 months will recalibrate all matter into a higher form of being and interconnectedness (or eliminate it completely).

Hence, the journey of all species and matter here on this earthly plane is currently (yes, we can safely time it to ‘now’) undergoing an immensely seminal pressure-packed cocooning stage, from whose inordinate stresses must emerge a higher form of quintessence, one which is clearly distinct from its lower forebears. Though the transition might be viewed in sympathetic terms as wholly sad, inscrutable and often rather cruel, this is the way that nature goes about its business of producing ‘miracles’.

Even the brightest stars must ultimately face their inevitable extinguishment and from this, we must know that all entities – individual or collective, by definition – must eventually confront their natural or “supernatural” nemeses and either rise to their conditional challenges to transform or meet their ultimate nullification by the forces that govern over these divine processes.

This is the story of our lives right now and when we see the transmutation taking place, both within and without, we must come to realise and accept that ‘things’ will never be the same. Nor should we want them to be. Either we will come to align with the empirical and fundamental changes or be prepared to encounter the most unspeakable grief and torment if we fix our minds to resist or deny the change.

It then becomes an expounding mystery how, in 2020, we are still driven to define ourselves by our gender, colour, creed, sexual persuasion, cultural privilege, political affiliation, affluence etc. To be drawn into heated discussions along these terms in such an age reveals just how regressed or limited our understanding is of life’s indelible principles, and this is no less mitigated by our obsessions, distractions and follies into the more insipid and banal elements of our shared reality.

This week’s transits only accentuate the massive global crises underway, and as the Sun moves into Scorpio (Thu), ruler of both Mars (lower) and Pluto (higher), we start to see the change – the death and rebirth processes that entities must undergo to ensure their survival into the next phase of the experience. The Sun joins a retro Mercury here, who, at the end of the first decanate of Scorpio, has been locked into an obstinate war of stubborn, yet coercive ideas vs Uranus. This, whilst stressful beyond logical comprehension, produces the kind of impetus that will catalyse our minds to process the kinds of extreme metamorphosing stimuli that we are about to witness in November, on all fronts.

In this, an earthy Venus in Virgo attempts to ease the extremes of pressure we are experiencing in our love-lives and relationships with those to which we feel an immense connection. You might, for instance, see that there is a tremendous separation between you and the world you value (and which values you). You may feel disconnected with the people who love you and mean well for you. Whether this is due to nature’s violations of otherwise peaceful, everyday processes, or personally wild aberrations in how we choose to express our desires, passions, sympathies or apathies – our relationships are still in danger of being defined in ways which are limited, conditional and mean.

Only true empathy for the things we love or even despise (or love and despise us) can bless us with the spirit of unconditional love. Venus’ current opposition to Neptune reminds us that we can not hope to manifest the higher-dimensional heart space we so yearn for by drowning our spirits in whimsical reverie, unrequited pleasures and shallow pursuits (with or without the aid of booze and drugs and other “magical” accoutrements). Substance comes from the heart.

As Venus trines the Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto, squaring the Nodes, she serves us with the reminder that to get through this excruciating metamorphosis of becoming ‘lighter beings’ we must focus on having more meaningful relationships – relationships of depth. This requires sacrifice, in that we must relinquish our romance with the superficial and banal. Experiencing true relationship depth takes work, time, effort. If we spend all our time on Instagram or quibbling over the tritest and most insipid topics, we miss out on asking the big, meaningful questions.

I am both astonished and similarly unsurprised at the inefficacy of Mars to rouse the impetus and fighting spirit of most humans, especially the more masculine, who seem to cower and wilt under the current pressure, particularly in social terms. In one sense it indicates just how incapable, weakened or emasculated we feel when we fight purely for ourselves, and then only when our egos are threatened to the point of exasperation or ineffectiveness.

Mars is almost entirely out of the picture this week after a square to Jupiter sees him quivering in the corner, lambasted by a series of moral and litigious threats to his attempts to stick himself out there, ahead of others. Following a two-month period of retrograde motion, he now begins to slow, summoning up the strength and courage to act more in sync with his time. By the time Mars turns direct (Nov 13), we will start to see (only too late) what happens when we don’t act in synchrony with our inner spirit; when we fail to be brave in the face of indignation, lies and outright manipulation in honouring our integrity.

Will it be too late? Never, but as we’ve said before, retrograde Mars shows us where we develop anger and resentment for not having acted more swiftly or in ways we probably will come to regret. For this, we must pay the ultimate price, especially if we have forfeited the opportunity to demonstrate that we are indeed competent and capable of accomplishing the most extraordinary feats, just to survive, even when facing an almost certain extinguishing of our inner flame.

I am particularly interested in Friday’s First quarter Moon which occurs precisely at 00°♒36′, the very degree of December’s epic Jupiter/Saturn conjunction. I will see you live on the Cosmic Bus this Thu/Fri to speak about this, as well as the explosive Taurus Full Moon at 08°♉38′ (Sat Oct 31, 2020) whose near-perfect conjunction to Uranus zaps us all into the higher dimension of present-tense with astounding alarm.

Needless to say, we can only imagine what shocks and revelations are in store for us all – knowing that anything that we can conceive in our minds is likely not to happen. (Uranus has a way of ruining even our most searing prophesies and brilliantly calculated expectations.) For the time being, let’s remember not to play divisive games and put each other into categories based on attributes over which we have no control. We must also learn to move on from placing historical guilt and resentment for stupid or atrocious things we or our forebears and ancestors may have done. We need to look beyond these if we are to come to see each other in present-tense ways.

Blessings, and have an amazing week xx"

    ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    10/19/20

"Jumping to conclusions, making snap judgements, trying to persuade others to ‘think as I do’ (even though those thoughts aren’t convincing), plans that go haywire and just all-round mental skullduggery persist in our interpersonal dealings as Rx MERCURY slows to again oppose URANUS.

So why is it so hard to trust a word you hear, especially those coming out of your own mouth?

    Because this is it now.
Our future is being wiped out so we (none of us) get any ideas on how ‘tomorrow’ may look. There is no tomorrow. I know it’s disconcerting, but it’s nature’s way of ensuring that no story gets to have its perfect ending. No agenda can succeed without the obligatory hitches. We are learning – the hard way – that our old narratives can no longer follow a clear, linear beginning, a middle, and an end. Time is becoming non-linear and hence, so is our reality.

The ☿ ☍ ♅ shatterfest is about introducing the great ‘not knowing’; being ready fo change; taking this moment (now) and making the most of it, remaining clueless about what is about to happen next. If you are of the ‘expecting’ kind, expect only disruptions, freakish upsets, cracks and breakages.

"NEPTUNE and JUPITER have really done a number on poor VENUS lately who, in Virgo, speaks to our longing to be acknowledged by someone for our sacrifice and generosity. Do we expect too much for our efforts to be loving and kind? DO they even deserve our love; mean well for us, or are we merely being exploited, misused or taken for granted?

True appreciation can be hard to come by these days. Everyone seems consumed with keeping up defences, fiercely fending physical boundaries, beliefs, resources as MARS clashes with SATURN/PLUTO/JUPITER.

Feeling unloved or avoided can have its benefits.

The less admiration and respect we get from others, the greater our chance to develop the relationship with our inner gratitude. Sometimes unrequited love and thankless environments are actually useful that way. They help us break through any pretences and discover an inner thankfulness and self-appreciation that cannot be matched."

    JUPITER closes in on SATURN
    10/21/20/
    https://angstoic.com/2020/10/jupiter...-in-on-saturn/

"JUPITER now closes in on SATURN at the final degrees of Capricorn. By Dec 21, 2020 the two giants will conjunct in the first degree of Aquarius, marking the 200-year end to a series of 20-yr cycles that commenced in earth signs.

    The carnival is over.

The earth is spent. Humanity’s capacity to identify everything by its physical properties, appropriate its benefit purely by materialistic means and to construct a paradigm of reality that is almost completely secular has created a world almost entirely forlorn of any emotional, intellectual or spiritual values. We see how humans have gradually stripped-mined the earth and seven seas of all its available wealth; built nations on the backs of slave-labour and immigrants; exploited the resources of undeveloped nations; used animals and fossilised minerals for fuel, all driven by a gluttonous theory which glorified the ‘more-for-me/less-for you’ ideologies of liberal capitalism.

Hope you enjoyed yourselves. The earth is now all but bare, super-dry, the ice caps are melting and the entire surface is crawling with humans who haven’t a clue how to save themselves. At the end of this epic epoch, we have all been gently corralled into a holding pen, where our ultimate fate will soon be decided by those masters of the 3D-reality who hold governance over all of the materials – real or hyperinflated. These “Lords-of-the-matter” are none other than the rulers of our physical domain, who understand that all of this will soon mean nothing unless it is managed using a different paradigm – one which aims to secure its control by turning its focus to harnessing the intellectual output of all those whose ideas are deemed worthy in the new age.

Join me tomorrow on the cosmic bus [see link for details] as we discuss the current state of humanity’s transition into the ‘New Age’; the TAURUS FULL MOON’s conjunction to URANUS (Oct 31), and the last American ‘election’ (Nov 3), as we prepare ourselves to enter a lighter, more expedient way of living (or come crashing down to earth with a tremendous thump)."

FIRST QUARTER MOON AT 00°36′ AQUARIUS
    10/24/20
    https://angstoic.com/2020/10/first-q...0036-aquarius/

"As the SUN enters Scorpio, the MOON now draws her first quarter on the very degree where JUPITER and SATURN will meet on December Solstice. Observe what is happening with you.

With next week's Full Moon falling on Halloween, we have confirmation that all the pagan holidays will be honoured this year by the phenomenal astronomical alignments in our skies.

We are living in blessed times. We are, in every moment, being showered with remarkable insights.

The sustained MERCURY/URANUS opposition has generated serious awareness, via our conflicts, over the control and sharing of things we own - both nice things and toxic things. These aren't things that others think they can just mess with or take from us, at least not without our consent.

    Time to draw boundaries, right?

Our possessions, beliefs and social entitlements are all something by which we distinctly identify ourselves. We don't want 'others' to assume they have any power to move, remove, alter or claim any control over. Those things are ours and they're precious - they're not for public debate, and we will defend them fiercely as our own.

What if everything you thought you owned could just as be easily uploaded onto a hard drive, much like the way your mind stores thoughts as memories?

Then, doesn't it stand to reason that everything you think you own: your possessions, your experiences, your culture, your sense of identity are simply all in your mind?

What if all property just became a matter of shared intellect?"

Bracing Ourselves for the Big Storm:
    THE WEEK AHEAD – Oct 26-Nov 1
    https://angstoic.com/2020/10/bracing...-oct-26-nov-1/

"Yes, things are messy with no visible sign that order and balance will be restored any time soon. But then, this is apparently what we all want, since nobody is really able to agree with anyone on anything right now. This is what the storm is about – ensuring that none of us is quite the same at the other end. We may try to ‘follow the rules’ until we realise these are largely arbitrary, and the best (and only) option is to go with our gut instinct, even though it sets us up for great uncertainty and chaos.

An awful week of transits up ahead, starting with the inferior Sun/Mercury conjunction in Scorpio. Neptune’s square to the Nodes now sets us up for massive disappointments and inability to show a communal spirit. Mercury immediately retrogrades out of the intense Scorpio back into peace-seeking Libra. Meanwhile, Venus enters her domicile at the other end of Libra, where afflictions to other cardinal planets will mean that efforts to help us restore peace and balance in our lives are likely to fall flat since we are largely dealing with draconian efforts to control and curtail freedoms and liberties. We are hence more likely to merely go along with what we are being told is “the right thing to do” in order to avoid causing any arguments and unpleasantness.

We saw this ‘default to agreeableness’ already over the past month, where a crestfallen Libra Sun struggled to see us make strong, resolute decisions. The Sun’s own cardinal crosses against Mars/ Jupiter/ Saturn/ Chiron/ Pluto/ Eris meant that we fumbled and fudged our way through, trying to stay agreeable, not having the conviction to stand up to contrary forces, hence losing a lot of integrity in the process.

Expect more idle-sounding politics and less and less push back as retrograde Mars continues to subside without putting up any direct and appropriate action. Our little warrior has had a tough slog over these past few weeks. He has been all but shut down and locked away by the constraining G-forces acting upon him in censuring Capricorn. His only hurrah before mid-November, when he finally turns direct again, will be his opposition to Venus (Nov 10), which only emboldens our need to negotiate some interim treaty that’s fair for all.

Venus (our feminine) now sees Mars (masculine) as beaten, broken and locked away – a pitiful, emasculated sod. She braces herself to take on the harsh Capricorn cluster, now warring with Eris around Nov 15. Deals will be done, but they are only to pacify the woeful state in which we find ourselves after abjectly failing to stand up and take appropriate actions when it was necessary. We did after all say that Mars in retrograde will produce enormous regrets and much resentment.

For now, we see Mercury heading towards his own station (Nov 3), squaring Saturn for the entire first week of November. Strict consequences for our liberal ideas and views mean that the bad news causes much mental anguish. Those of you prone to worry could be plagued with negative thinking and arguing over matters which you know you cannot win, although you may become more adept at building a stronger argument for those ideas worth disputing.

Mercury (in purple) stations direct (SD) on Nov 3
Meanwhile, the Scorpio Sun – master of executing change – gets set to face Uranus, who is in no way having change – unless it is on his own terms. We see this freakish tension manifesting in our relationship to others, where obstinate self-will, hypersensitivity, and insistence on autonomy make things difficult to get along.

Those who seem insistent that everything goes their way only irritate and alienate us further with their recalcitrant behaviour. Do not expect others to change their attitudes unless to spite you; shock you, and then hardly for sound reasons. ‘Trick or treat’ was never to be taken so literally.

By the Taurus Full Moon (Sat), which culminates almost precisely on Uranus, the political atmosphere is likely to be nervous, highly-strung, tense and irritable; a presage for the turbulent weeks and months to come. Those in any position of authority or agency may deliberately flout convention – for no other reason than to generate wow and controversy. This, in turn, produces sudden, extreme swings in public behaviour, eccentric moods and weird notions – an instinctive rejection towards all those who express an over-identification to rigid, fanatically egotistical points of view.

Of course, we fail to see is how we, ourselves, become espoused to attitudes which are themselves unreasonable and a bit ‘crazed’. Hence, this Full Moon is tinged with insights and wake-up calls on how our own impatience and impertinence only stands in the way of producing any truly sustainable solutions, at least affording us the opportunity to put our unique ideas into practical application.

Needless to say, in the prelude to the US election as well as other critical events happening around the globe this week, the world’s nervous system is charged with enormously jolting electrical impulses. We know that something is not making sense, and turn to our intuition to guide us forward. One thing we are losing patience with is Saturn’s pervasive ‘fear’ element. How we reconcile this; how we come to integrate or reject this in pursuit of greater freedoms will determine the fate of our interim journey towards more peaceable and sustainable new options.

Blessings, and have an amzing week ahead xx"

Controlling Our Wild, Unbridled, Inner Beast: FULL MOON at 08°38′ TAURUS
    Saturday, Oct. 31
    https://app.getresponse.com/view.htm...hv4&z=EzcuyIW&

    "Greetings Fellow Travellers,

It doesn't get more intense than this now, does it? This Hallowed Full Moon moment poses an extreme either/or scenario in our lives, to which we must decide how best to proceed. If we look closely, we can see how this lunation offers unprecedented insights on how to restore some peace in our otherwise turbulent, shaky world.

Scorpio is a very controlling constellation. It affects the life-terminating processes of nature; the weeding out of all that is redundant and incapable of serving us in our quest to progress to the next level. It also selects the seed that will carry essential information into the next incarnation. Planets that pass through Scorpio seek to exact change through an intense death and transformation (rebirth) process. They act with ruthless intensity, tenaciousness and a formidable ‘do-or-die’ struggle. Those whose lives are touched by Scorpio transits are altered in extreme, irrevocable ways.

Taurus is conservative, resists change and will not budge. Planets transiting this sign seek to build strength, to become durable and to leave a lasting impression through materialising their energy into physical forms and manifestations.

The Sun in Scorpio brings awareness and consciousness to what needs to change, to seriously address it. He imbues and inspires the spirit of living beings to do something drastic to maintain their sense of survival. It makes us realise that sometimes we must go undergo severe crisis in order to exist. This urgency, tenaciousness and fearlessness to work under the pressure of its authority can be frightening to those who dislike change. Those acting under the Scorpio Sun are deemed by onlookers to be fanatics who take things too far and assume gross overestimation of their powers. Few welcome the change, and then only under extreme pressure. Hence, Scorpions tend to keep their activities dark (secretive) and generally conduct their insidious work under extreme cover.

The exalted Taurus Moon reacts to all things instinctively, yet surely. Her unconscious impulse is to cling tenaciously to all she has acquired, hold it in her close possession because she values and appreciates its beauty and enjoyment. She privately ‘feels’ to remain steadfast and firm in her position; securing her interests; banking up all those things that she holds dear; refusing to change, or give anything away unless it is in her absolute better interests.

We can see by the dichotomy of these two feminine (introverted) fixed signs that this lunation is about holding on and letting go. The antithesis of builder vs. destroyer; calm vs. storm; satiation vs. obsession; peace vs. turbulence; conservatism vs. crisis will hit us most personally. Those triggered by this extremely potent lunation (near or on 08°38′ of fixed signs) are most affected. It is the third lunation and the second Full Moon in the month of October. It is packed with surprises.

Uranus conjunct the Full Moon at 08°41’℞
I have spoken extensively about Uranus in Taurus in other articles and in our cosmic bus discussions. Uranus is a supernatural force, which means his effects are not easy to determine by natural, scientific means. Being so tightly linked to this lunation (within 03′), we can expect extremely erratic motions, both internal and external, which only accentuates the climactic, drastic and unpredictable impact on our daily behaviours and lifestyles.

The Taurus Moon does not behave in her usual calm, measured manner here. Uranian energy produces a tremendous strain on the emotional body. Our impulse towards conservatism is accelerated and there is a stubborn adherence to resist change at any cost. We don’t want to lose what we have and there is no way we are willing to relinquish our position, even if it seems irrational and unsustainable.

Uranus is here to teach us that all ideas and relative points of view are not our own. We can either use or abuse the profound insights. Uranus in Taurus blasts us with the revelation that we must eventually let go of everything we own; detach ourselves from those things we claim to possess and which hope to possess us.

It’s time to stop fighting against the demons and pariahs of this world. The noble fight to transform our world is not out there, with others, it is within. That’s not to say that the demons and pariahs don’t exist out there – in fact we have every evidence that they are everywhere we point our attention towards. We need to stop reacting, blaming and witch-hunting against the world and turn our efforts inwards, towards restoring discipline to our powerful desire nature so that our Solar centre becomes more powerful and integrative. We can only fight the darkness with light, and that is not something we can borrow or steal from others. Nor can others feign to be the light for us. We need to tame that wild rebellious spirit, harness those scattered energies, ease those highly-strung nerves which are only detrimental to our health and well-being and towards maintaining loving relationships with the world."
