Default RT bank accounts closed in UK

Russia Today (RT) has announced that National Westminster Bank (NorWest) is closing all RT accounts with them, and that the entire Royal Bank of Scotland Group, of which NatWest is part, would refuse to service RT. The letter from NorWest to RT said that the decision was final and that it is “not prepared to enter into any discussion in relation to it.”

References:Notice that the HollywoodReporter article linked above adds the word "Kremlin" to the beginning of it's article title, and adds a (gratuitous, in my view) slam against Russia in the last paragraph of its article: "It's not the first time RT has hit the headlines in the U.K. Two years ago one of its London-based hosts resigned over what she said was slanted coverage of the downing of Malaysian Airways flight MH17 over Ukraine." None of the other reports, by RT, India sources or Zerohedge, try such an anti-Russian slant.

UK: RT's UK bank accounts blocked by NatWest

    Published on 17 Oct 2016

The UK bank accounts of the Russian television channel RT (formerly Russia Today)
have been blocked, editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan reported on Monday.
NatWest, the bank that RT had an account with, sent a letter to the broadcaster
noting that the entire Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) group, which NatWest are a
part of, would refuse to serve the news channel. No reason has been given.

    ===================================================

    This is an updated article.....

RT: NatWest to close Russian channel's UK bank accounts

NatWest bank has frozen the accounts of Russia's state-run broadcaster RT, its editor-in-chief says.

Margarita Simonyan tweeted: "They've closed our accounts in Britain. All our accounts. 'The decision
is not subject to review.' Praise be to freedom of speech!"

An MP from Russia's ruling party has said the country's Parliament will "demand an explanation" from the UK.

RT says the bank gave no explanation for its decision.

It said the entire Royal Bank of Scotland Group, of which NatWest is part, was refusing to service RT.
The broadcaster, previously known as Russia Today, says NatWest wrote to its London office saying:
"We have recently undertaken a review of your banking arrangements with us and reached the
conclusion that we will no longer provide these facilities."

Julian Assange apparently has had his internet cut. Not sure if it's related but it is mentioned in one of the videos linked above. He sent out 3 strange tweets that everyone is calling a "Dead Man Switch" which would release massive information if anything were to happen to Julian. Powers making moves to silence media and whistle blowers.... Something big is brewing. Could it be connected with recent Yemen bombings and escalating tension with Russia or perhaps an incoming financial collapse?

there have been rumors (websites) that Russia is preparing for war and that all Russian nationals need to leave foreign countries and return to home- I have no idea if any of this is based on actual fact- but I find it strange that RT accounts with the NorWest bank will in the future be closed and no discussion of this will be available- so what's really going on?-

normaly when a war starts it will start in the spring/summer of a yr. due to facilitating ground troop mvt's (thanks to the weather)- so if all this is true, what is planned?- am just wondering-

Assad forces backed by Hezbola and the Russian air force have been
preparing to retake east Aleppo . This is why John Kerry is in London
and the odd goings on with Julian Assange and with RT and Nat West.
The US said they were going to cyber attack Moscow and it may have
started yesterday with Putin in Brazil.

Russia have been preparing for a possible war from the defencive
stand point for a while . But I think it will be the US or angency / Ally
'false flag' that is more likey to start a major conflict. Though I do
not think this will happen , unless by accident or rogue elements.....

#BankXit: Long-term NatWest client closes account in retaliation for action against RT

RT has received an outpouring of support after NatWest bank’s decision to close the accounts of its British office. Among the messages sent to RT was one from a NatWest client who has decided to take personal retaliation against the bank.

Here’s what the man wrote to RT:
“I have been a NatWest account holder in the UK since 2003, today I just emailed them the following text:
“According to today's news you arbitrarily intend to cancel the bank accounts of RT NEWS, as this is my preferred news source it is my intention to arbitrarily cancel my banking services with you and I sincerely hope that my account cancellation is joined by thousands of other like-minded account holders, I don't suppose you could recommend another banking service could you, perhaps one that sticks to banking and not politics?

    “Sincerely, Tony West”
If you share these sentiments or are a NatWest client who has doubts about the bank’s policies following its decision against RT, send us your story at bankxit@rttv.ru.

This makes me think the UK is going to be a sacrificial goat in the up coming plays,

disconnected from Europe for may reasons with a separate currency as not to affect a devaluation of the euro, the public being lied to on a daily basis through the news outlets .

Lead by the nose and so many do not see it.

    I agree with Oliver Stone.

This is a (Hidden) Media War.

Oddly, National West (NatWest) disagrees. In a statement from 9 hours ago, NatWest says it has taken no action w.r.t. Russia Today. From 'The Scotsman' (Scotland's national paper) ...

"Claims by Russian broadcaster RT that the Royal Bank of Scotland group’s NatWest arm has frozen its UK bank accounts have been denied by the bank.

RBS said that it had not closed any accounts belonging to RT, formerly known as Russia Today and claimed that a redacted letter from NatWest published on the broadcaster’s website, related to a different company.

It is believed the company involved is a supplier of the firm with no obvious financial links to RT.

RT earlier accused the bank of curbing “freedom of speech” and claimed that the alleged decision could be the beginning of new British sanctions against Russia.

RBS insisted that RT’s bank accounts “remain open”.

A human being is a part of the whole, called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

This might actually benefit RT as they can deal with a new financial institution and avoid getting caught up in the probable RBS fall,
