cases heard at the European Court of Human Rights, researchers have claimed.

The AI predicted the verdicts to an accuracy of 79%, according to the scientists involved.

AI is increasingly being used in fields such as journalism, law and accountancy.

But critics said no AI would be able to understand the nuances of a legal case.

the universities of Sheffield and Pennsylvania, does not spell an end to lawyers, the
    researchers said.

Think of virtual reality and you will probably conjure up images
of fantastical landscapes in a game or film set.

But VR can also be embedded in reality to give people more
understanding of the world around them.

Increasingly it is being used as a tool by journalists, teachers,
healthcare workers and retailers. The BBC took a look at a few

Expert says we are moving towards 'computing at the speed of thought'
The first computers cost millions of dollars and were locked inside rooms
equipped with special electrical circuits and air conditioning.

The only people who could use them had been trained to write programs
    in that specific computer's language.

Will artificial intelligence mean the rich get even richer?

    Published on 6 Feb 2016
Will artificial intelligence mean the rich get even richer? Superwealthy are
ALREADY using robo advisors to manage their stocks. Would you trust your
finances in the hands of a robo-advisor?

Wealthy investors have been flocking to automated services in recent years,
and even some major lenders are planning to integrate this technology.
Robo-advisors come at a much cheaper rate, often charging half of what a
traditional broker would, and could be managing as much as $2.2 trillion in four years.
