Putin Congratulates Trump, Says Russia Is Ready To Restore Relations With The US

by Tyler Durden Nov 9, 2016 8:02 AM

Perhaps the most beneficial outcome resulting from last night's loss of the Clinton Clan's loss, whose "charitable" donations to the Clinton Foundation from generous donors such as Saudi Arabia just ended, is that with Hillary not in charge, the probability of World War III has been taken off the table. This was confirmed early this morning, When Russian President Vladimir Putin - whose relations with the US and Barack Obama have deteriorated to Cold War levels - congratulated Donald Trump for his election victory on Wednesday, and said he expected relations between the Kremlin and Washington to improve.

The Kremlin announced that Putin had sent a telegram to Trump on Wednesday morning expressing “his hope they can work together toward the end of the crisis in Russian-American relations, as well address the pressing issues of the international agenda and the search for effective responses to global security challenges.”

Additionally, speaking at the presentation ceremony of foreign ambassadors' letters of credentials in Moscow, President Putin said that Russia is ready and looks forward to restoring bilateral relations with the United States, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, commenting on the news of Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election.
“We heard Trump's campaign rhetoric while still a candidate for the US presidency, which was focused on restoring the relations between Russia and the United States.”
He added that “we understand and are aware that it will be a difficult path in the light of the degradation in which, unfortunately, the relationship between Russia and the US are at the moment."

Speaking about the degraded state of relations between the countries, the Russian president once again stressed that “it is not our fault that Russia-US relations are as you see them.”

    Other Russian politicians joined in.

Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has also expressed hope that Trump’s victory in the presidential election will help pave the way for a more constructive dialogue between Moscow and Washington.

“The current US-Russian relations cannot be called friendly. Hopefully, with the new US president a more constructive dialogue will be possible between our countries,” he said. “The Russian Parliament will welcome and support any steps in this direction,” Volodin added on Wednesday.

Commenting on Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia will judge the new US administration by its actions and take appropriate steps in response. “We are ready to work with any US leader elected by the US people,” the minister said on Wednesday.
“I can’t say that all the previous US leaders were always predictable. This is life, this is politics. I have heard many words but we will judge by actions.”
Sergey Zheleznyak, member of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party in parliament, hailed Trump’s “deserved victory” in a statement on the party’s website.

“Despite all the intrigues and provocations that the current U.S. government put in front of Trump, people supported his intention to address the serious problems that have accumulated in America, and to move from confrontation to cooperation with Russia and the world,” Zheleznyak said. “I hope that between now and [his] entry into office as the new president of the United States there will be no tragic events and the new U.S. administration will have enough political will and wisdom for civilized solutions to existing problems."

Russia’s second biggest party the Communist Party also issued a statement Wednesday morning, expressing hope for more cooperation and calling Trump’s win “astounding” and against the “elite clans” in the United States. The party leader was more lukewarm on the news, noting that U.S. imperialism was unlikely to change.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the right-wing nationalist leader of the Liberal Democratic Party who has previously been nicknamed the Russian Donald Trump, called Clinton a “mindless old woman” and praised U.S. voters for “coming to their senses” after eight years of President Barack Obama, whom he referred to as “the Afro-American.”

The rest of the planet is socked by the fact that a person like Trump is the president of one of the most powerful countries.Scary!I think presidents are decorative but my only hope is he is stupid enough to reveal some of the things that are going on behind the scenes.I'm glad that Clinton didn't make it and sad to see Trump in the white house. They both suck in their own unique ways.I don't see him last long

As I stated a while back about the man trump, he's a business man, father, grandfather, proud husband, and a proud American. He's done many charitable things under the radar and many outrageous things in public. But all of us grow and evolve, all of us have regrets in our lives, some more than others and as John F. Kennedy said" an error doesn't become a mistake unless you fail to correct it". As I did with president Obama who I didn't vote for - I left a window of optimism when he took office ,but because of his lack of governing skills and experience as a person and never really working in the private sector, all he did was surround himself with people who have fed off the same food bucket all their lives -the government! They don't know what it is to really work for a living , but only to spend everyone else s money instead by taxing us to the heavens. What skills huh!

So now we have an American who beat 18 candidates in the primary, took on the entire controlled media and the polls that you could wipe your behind with, took on the 65 newscasters who privately attended a party with ms. Clinton, Took on the corrupt debate moderators, and paid with a good portion of his race with his own money. The man doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, and is one hard driver for success. They say if you want to be successful, surround yourself with successful people and it will eventually rub off on you. I'd say this America, These United States of America and all its citizens are off to one hell of a successful start being surround by our new president. God Bless this Man and our new president elect- Donald Trump

All I can say is no more bushes, no more clintons and yes lets make america great again, all of america and its people.

Vladimir Putin congratulates Donald Trump - BBC News

    Published on 9 Nov 2016

Speaking in the Kremlin, President Putin congratulated Mr Trump, recalling his
wish to improve US-Russia relations. He said there was a hard road ahead,
considering the state of degradation they were at now. But he said good
relations would serve the interests of global security as well as the Russian
    and American nations.

Default Re: Done & Sworn in: 45th US president Donald Trump: The Sequels...

Whilst I certainly am glad that Mrs. Clinton didn't win the election, I'm not too sure if I share everyone's optimism about Trump being the new president, nor the notion that the probability of a WW3 is now certainly off the table.

Just as many others I'm a firm believer of the saying "if voting made any difference, they wouldn't let us do it." and so I am of the opinion - just as with the (for me, at least) unexpected Brexit - that this was a conscious decision made by the establishment because, apparently, it's in their best interest.
And while I was contemplating what the reason for this could be, I got the idea that perhaps the American shadow government has just given itself the perfect excuse to now really start "effing" things up in the coming year(s). Possibly even on a WW3 scale.
Because, when you think about it, who is actually expecting Trump to be a good president and steer America back in the right direction? I'd say very few. Especially amongst the majority of the (global) general populace, Trump is seen as an idiot.

So wouldn't (s)electing Trump as president be the perfect excuse to now head into a horrific direction as a country, simply because a great deal of not only the American people, but also the rest of the world, wouldn't expect anything else from a country with someone like him as president? Making him the perfect scapegoat.
Because if we, hypothetically speaking, had had Clinton as president, people all around the world would've expected global politics to continue in a similar manner as before and so a cataclysmic event (just speculating here) would've been way more unacceptable and unexpected. Whereas right now, I think a lot of people are expecting rash and reckless actions from Trump and are therefore now more accepting of something like that happening and wouldn't hesitate to blame it all on this one man.

In short: I feel that with Trump as a puppet, the establishment has enabled itself to get away with more heinous and erroneous acts as compared to having to work through someone like Clinton who is generally more respected and well-regarded by the general population.

I don't know, perhaps I'm just being too pessimistic here. I certainly hope I am. I just can't help but feel that, even if we didn't get the ostensible worst candidate of the two, there's still something fishy behind this election. And I certainly don't feel relieved or hopeful for the future with Trump at the "head" of a global superpower like the United States.

Someone posted a video in this thread (sorry I don't have time to go through 50 pages) entitled something like 'the real donald trump' which had a collection of clips from him, a large portion frm when he was a lot younger, which showed him to be a very intelligent, calculated man with good ideas about the country and how things should be. It showed a very different, refreshing side of him to the mainstream media propaganda against him.

Does anyone have the link to that video please?

This is a report just for the interesting record. I know someone here (an educated, high-quality, 40-someting years old Ecuadorian man) who lived in the States for a decade a little while back, and worked for Trump.

Trump wasn't his direct boss (there were a couple of levels of management in between), but Trump knew his name, his personal circumstances, spoke to him personally quite often, and was always straight, clear, and courteous. He personally praised good work, and insisted on high standards from everyone around, including himself. My friend said he was by far the best boss he ever had.

I was too afraid to hope, having been disaffected of this world long ago. The lesser of two evils for sure. But at least it is not the evil princess of the evil cabal. That should throw a giant wrench into their future affairs. Hillary would most definitely have been "business as usual". With Trump - who knows!

I truly hope they bring Hillary to justice and jail her or even kill her for her treasonous actions.

And I hope Trump follows through with his main promises: Prosecute Hillary, deport illegal immigrants, build that crazy wall, revoke obamacare, and renew ties with Rusia and other nations, bring home America's soldiers. Each of those promises would, if implemented, go a long way to giving the people room to breath again and restore law and order once again.

Long live the people of the United States! Down with the ruing elite and the secretive and evil cabal.

Well, if an Idiot can be come a billionaire I guess the American dream is more real than I thought!

I'd say the majority of the global populace should maybe do some self analysis, there are few people one could describe as "idiot" that make it to CEO of a multi-million dollar company, hell there are very few people who make a business succeed at all. Thinking that Trump is below average intelligence and yet still a billionaire at the same time is a level of cognitive dissonance I cannot understand.

I suppose the lack of experience in business would account for this, and the majority of the population lacks this experience; I happen to be a small (so far successful) business owner and even at my level the intricacies prohibit idiocy.

Do your own research on this one, I think you'll find trump more palatable than you've been told he is.

    That's a unilateral power base.
Someone explain this to me please, I barely understand the House of Lords thing here in the UK. It sounds something like a full house in poker, does it mean they can actually accomplish things now?
It means, within the confines of how the US government has worked in the past, up until now.....where they propose bills, accept bills, debate bills, and approve bills...that the parties vote and act as an ordered block.

When one group has achieved control, as a majority, in all areas of potential shared power that are relevant to a motion of idea into enacted law (actual decision makers and checks and balances), then the power of the president and associated elected persons...they can, in effect, as a block/group.... literally, through this convoluted system....issue laws and actions like diktats and papal bulls.

Only the US supreme court can break such issuance, but only in a legal challenge to a law, or act, and all that can be done is the issuance/law/act - is struck down by the supreme court.

If the group can hold...it is very close to unbridled power, within that collective.

The group that just lost the public face of power in the USA, has a history of killing when they don't get their way, so this means the threat level is not lower today.

Seething in the backdrop... is a thing..... that makes the threat level higher than yesterday.

Maybe that seething will make them act on impulse, without forethought. And maybe we can catch a few more in the net before they realize their power-mongering days are over - at least for the next four years.

... and since the Supreme Court is currently deadlocked at 4 to 4 on many issues, with an opening that will be almost immediately filled by the incoming Republican President Trump, with the almost certain consent of the Republican Senate, that too, the Supreme Court, will join the ruling block.

I admit that you certainly have a good point there, TargeT. Thank you. Perhaps I should've used 'incompetent politician' instead.
Though it's unmistakably true (the way I see it, anyway) that for the past several years the media certainly hasn't portrayed him as a bright, brilliant and intelligent man. Rather the opposite in most cases. And since the vast majority of people don't do research, they have only the information the media feeds them to go by.
So, as a result, I get the impression that many (unfortunately) don't see the man as you just described him. And, admittedly, neither did I, so thank you for showing me that side of the coin You have relieved me of my despair, albeit just a bit.

Default Re: Done & Sworn in: 45th US president Donald Trump: The Sequels...

This is not a victory for the supporters of Trump; this is not a defeat for the supporters of Hillary.

This is a continuing drama being guided by the elite at the pinnacle of power on this planet, which at this point is throwing the Bush/Clinton/Neocon crime syndicate, the American Imperial Century, and the US Petro-Narco-Dollar world reserve currency into the trashbin of history.

The next major public act of this drama, which I expect to begin within weeks, will be the collapse of the American centered financial, banking, and monetary system, leading into a bankruptcy to be overseen by Donald Trump. His previous experience at the head of a major bankruptcy will serve him well.

The American "people" have not won ... they are being guided by this ongoing drama to accept, even welcome, America's new role, as a resource rich third world colony and former great empire, participating on a relatively level playing field with other major nations in a new world order. It will be a multi-polar world, overseen by "NGO's" (non-governmental organizations) such as the United Nations, the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). It will be a multi-polar "new world order" with German, or Russian, or Chinese, or American, or French, or Indian, or ... "flavorings".

National (or regional, if the EuroDollar survives, which I suspect it won't) currencies will be "backed by" an international banking created world reserve asset, with historical roots in the current IMF's SDRs. By "backing" I mean that major international trade, contracts and debt will be denominated in these international banking created world reserve assets. The US Federal Reserve (Fed) will be demoted (as will other major US institutions). The Fed will become just another national central bank, issuing (lending into existence) some national currency, while borrowing from the BIS in international reserve denominated assets, when running an account or trade deficit.

The beloved (by the top elite) debt-money system, which has controlled human civilization for eons, will continue, in another variant, with SDR-like money lent into existence to nations by the global banking system, and with national currencies lent into existence to individuals, businesses, local governments and other smaller institutions by the banks operating under the aegis of their national banks.

"Socialism" is but a variant of this debt-money system, in which the willing participation is obtained from the bottom 50% of the population, who are too poor to borrow much themselves, by granting them income streams from money borrowed by their more "credit worthy" national governments.

For the last half century, the Fed has had a major, global, but covert, role as the dominant lender of what has been the world's reserve currency. They have been, along with the BIS and IMF, a central part of the global banking structure. They have for example lent many trillions of US Dollars to major US and European banks during the last eight years.

That role for the Fed (hidden on the label of "the Fed's independence" from Washington) is coming to an end. "Independence" from Washington really meant, "called to a higher, more global, cause". The IMF and BIS and such institutions will openly pick up that global "banker's bank" role, while the Fed will return to being just another national lending central bank, working closely with its national Treasury.

But that (such role changes for the Fed, and the rebuilding of America as just another nation, with a history of once having been an empire, and with vast resources) will take a while.

First we will see the once great American Empire, and the Bush/Clinton/Neocon crime syndicate, deconstructed, and first Americans will have to endure a major economic and monetary collapse (which will be felt across the planet, given America's grand overreach.)

The Petro-Narco-Dollar world reserve currency is (will soon be) dead!

Long live the US Treasury national dollar and the SDR-based world reserve currencies!

Are you saying that there might be huge terrorist attack for example (higher threat level), or a start of a war somewhere effecting USA land itself, (no problems with killing) which would have Obama declare a state of emergency and eventually a war state (military control of the country) therefore having him remain on the throne for much longer? And Trump would pass as a president? Is that ever possible in the USA to do this once someone is elected (genuine question from a foreigner which is me)?

If so, we have to do as we did, take the internet to avoid ANY kind of war.

Fair point about pushing back against people from other countries giving advice. I didn't read any advice from Matina though only opinion and hopes.

Ditto from me in that I'm glad that Clinton didn't make it but at the same time sad to see someone who supports guantanamo bay get elected.
